Planned Parenthood corporate sponsors August 11, 2010

I found this handy list of corporate sponsors of Planned Parenthood.  It’s amazing how common and insidious this is.  We’re going to have to make some changes.  Like a new bank:

AOL, Darden Restaurants (Bahama Breeze, The Capital Grille, LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Season 52), Franchise Services (PIP, Signal Graphics, Sir Speedy), Hilton Worldwide (Conrad Hotels, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inns/Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Hotels, Homewood Suites), Ignite Restaurants (Brickhouse Tavern+Tap, Joe’s Crab Shack), ING (financial services), Kohl’s (department stores), Mrs. Fields (cookies), Staples (office/school supplies), Toys “R” Us, and Trader Joe’s (markets/supermarkets).

More

AlphaGraphics, Wells Fargo (including Wachovia), Nike, Time Warner, Bank of America, Walt Disney, Johnson & Johnson, Lost Arrow (Patagonia, etc.), Chevron, and Nationwide Insurance, among others.

And charities that give money to Planned Parenthood, ’cause nothing says ‘charity’  like killing babies!

American Cancer Society, Easter Seals, Boys & Girls Clubs, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Camp Fire, Girls Inc., Girl Scouts, Kiwanis Clubs, March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Rotary Clubs, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Salvation Army, YWCA, America Gives Back (formerly [American] Idol Gives Back), and YMCA

Young Men’s Christian Association, my azz!  No wonder they’re changing their name.

I can name a two more: Home Depot, Sonic Restaurants.

Sorry to see the parent corporation for Olive Garden & Red Lobster listed. They’re among the wife’s favorite spots to dine out.

Regarding the charities listed, it’s amazing that even the Salvation Army is guilty of supporting PP. Where can a list of charities that DON’T support PP and it’s ilk be found? From the looks of things that list might be a lot shorter and easier to name.

My wife and I were just talking about this. It’s going to be hard to not associate with any of these. I like Sonic, we were going there alot for slushies with the kids, and then we found out they give money to Planned Parenthood, which is just an ender for me. Everyone has got to do what they think right, but I thought I’d give the information. Sometimes it stinks to be informed.

I just saw this from AFA:
Employee wearing patriotic button is fired. Employees wearing pro-homosexual buttons/aprons praised. (The man was fired for wearing a “One Nation Under God” button supporting our nation and his brother who was serving in Iraq.)

Between PP and the Gay agenda, yes, the list is long. We must seek out the Christian stores/eateries and support them.

I think the time has come to start speaking out for our beliefs in religion, government, etc. No more sitting back quietly doing the “Christian” thing; now we must do what Christ has really called us to do – to evangelize, as the angel sent the apostles out after the transfiguration, as Christ did again and again!!!

If no such list of prolife, proreligious businesses exists perhaps word of mouth is best.

FWIW, I’ve found that the “Steak & Shake” in McKinney on West El Dorado right off US 75 is supportive of prolife efforts. There’s a Planned Parenthood referral clinic across the street that a number of local Catholics hold prayer vigils for.

The Steak & Shake mentioned allows those involved in the vigils to park at their facility. The few times I’ve been able to participate I’ve made a point of eating there.

Surely there’s a partial list.

Jason’s Deli off Greenville near the hospital in north Dallas did the same for us, allowing us to park and come in for restrooms while praying near the PP mill.

Yes, “nothing says charity like killing babies.” Isn’t that true!

It’s great to keep these lists in front of those with a conscience. We all forget as we’re going about our days with kids in the car, pulling each others’ hair, etc., but we must be vigilant and hit the enemy where it hurts.

Kohl’s – I love the place, but the kids say that’s where you go to get Christmas presents for bad kids….get it? Kohl’s

Oh, another hard one supporting Planned Parenthood: Albertson’s.

I’m in communication with Kohls, who claims they haven’t supported PP in 24 months; working to get more details.

I also like the store, they have ‘more modest’ type clothing for girls and women. I have talked to them in the past to get rid of skull clothing for kids, they seem to respond, somewhat…

In general, it is important that we contact those we plan to boycott to inform them; let their little brains work on the information, the thought of wiping out the children who would one day be purchasing from them…Don’t want to kill off those who will be keeping you in business…

Mary, that’s good to hear. Thanks.
