If you’re tired of the dumbed down ICEL English translation of the Mass that’s been in use since 1970, and want a far more uplifting, liturgically-correct, and accurate translation of the Mass, make your voice heard!  Sign the petition here.

The new translation is pending and should be introduced in a year or two at most, but there are still some opposed to it.

An EXCELLENT resource to prepare oneself for the new English translation (as well as to better appreciate the incredible gift of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass) is a relatively new book “Praying the Mass: The Prayers of the People” self-published by Jeffrey Pinyan.

You can order the book here (it is very reasonably priced at $12 + $3.61 S/H):

Several brief reviews of his book, as well as a couple of radio interviews with the author, can be found at the author’s web site above.

I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone who appreciates Catholic Liturgy, and/or anyone who wants to better understand & participate spiritually during Holy Mass.
