Blogging will be light today.  Life and work getting in the way, as it were.

After last week’s extravaganza, I need some time down to work on some other things.  Hopefully, later this week will be better.

Another women’s retreat! January 11, 2010

There is another women’s retreat coming soon in the Plano/Frisco area!  Fortunately, I shant be blogging my head off complaining endlessly about this one.  Our intrepid local young priest, Fr. Jason Cargo, is hosting a women’s retreat on Jan. 29 at St. Francis in Frisco.  Fr. Cargo has his own blog, with details about the retreat here

Father Cargo is a very devout young priest.  He was trained in Rome and has been ordained for a little less than 2 years, I believe.  I think it fair to say that this retreat will be very orthodox in its outlook.  So, if you’re looking for an alternative to the other retreat I’ve blogged about repeatedly, make plans to see Fr. Cargo at St. Francis on the 29th.  I’d go myself, except for, you know, the whole not being a woman thing.  Dangit.

Fr. Cargo is also conducting his second tour of historic, beautiful churches in the Dallas Diocese.  In the fall, Fr. Cargo took folks on a tour of churches at the northern periphery of the diocese (strange how many of the more beautiful churches are both old, and on the extreme borders of the diocese – ahem), and now, on Feb. 8, he’s touring churches on the southern side.  I’m very interested in this tour, but the timing may not work out.  I pray that I may be able to attend, with my wife and kids.

More info on the tour at Fr. Cargo’s blog, again.
