Update on SSGT Mark Juarez October 7, 2010

I had asked in the past for prayers for a Marine wounded in Afghanistan on Sept 11, 2010, SSGT Mark Juarez. He’s a distant relation of mine on my wife’s side, and he suffered serious burns and a very traumatic head wound. The good news is, Mark is doing much, much better. He is awake, he’s able to sit up, and he is even trying to write. Today, he was able to go outside for a bit. He is still in serious condition and has a long way to go. But, the prayers are being answered, he suffered a really bad wound and his recovery is a great gift from God.
He has a facebook support page here.
Here is a picture of him carrying a wounded comrade after an Iraqi artillery strike during the invasion of Iraq in 2003:
And here he is more recently:
Today:
Please keep praying!
Errata: I had erroneously stated in a previous post that Mark was at Walter Reed. He’s a Marine, and I’m a dummy, so he’s at Bethesda Naval Hospital.
