…..when I saw this, while looking for something else:

Good Lord, what is wrong with people?  Wow, I can’t imagine what her parents are thinking.  What kind of adult will a little girl with a tanning bed tan and hair extensions, and teeth whitening, and who knows what else, grow up to be?   Who would let their little girl parade around dressed like that?  What is she, 5?

Poor kid(s).  More prayers.

From New Liturgical Movement, a photo of a Mass celebrated on the campus of Pope John XXIII high school in Katy, the way it was meant to be, the way it was understood by the Council fathers TO BE, Versus Dominum, in Latin:

Fantastic!

Obama colludes with Defense of Marriage Act opponents March 4, 2011

Good Lord, it’s as bad as I thought.  Obama’s decision not to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act seems to have been done in collusion with groups trying to get Proposition 8, the California constitutional amendment that banned gay marriage, overturned in court (once again, using the courts, or not, to ignore the democratic process):

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 3, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The leader of a top conservative group has asked the U.S. Department of Justice to disclose whether a statement by President Obama announcing he would not uphold the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was timed to coincide with a legal document filed just hours later by opponents of the federal law.

“Less than three hours after Attorney General Holder’s announcement, litigants seeking to strike down California’s traditional marriage definition enacted by Proposition 8 filed a ‘Motion to Vacate Stay’ in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit,” wrote Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in a Freedom of Information request.  “On pages 7 of 23 and 10 of 23 the Motion cited to and quoted from the Attorney General Letter.”

Perkins said he was “troubled by the lightning-fast integration of concepts and actual language” from the Attorney General announcement and the motion to stay. “Even the appearance of collusion between the Department of Justice and litigants is highly damaging to the rule of law in America,” he said.

There is no way legal documents could be updated and submitted that quickly.  This is the most corrupt Administration ever.   You want to trust your health insurance with these people?  The rule of law has no meaning to leftist idealogues.

What ‘comprehensive sex education’ really means March 4, 2011

Courtesy Les Femmes – The Truth, a Diane Scheider of the National Education Assocation, the largest teacher’s union in the country, explained the concept at a recent speech at the UN:

Oral sex, masturbation, and orgasms need to be taught in education,” Diane Schneider told the audience at a panel on combating homophobia and transphobia.  Schneider, representing the National Education Association (NEA), the largest teachers union in the US, advocated for more “inclusive” sex education in US schools, with curricula based on liberal hetero and homosexual expression.  She claimed that the idea of sex education remains an oxymoron if it is abstinence-based, or if students are still able to opt-out.

Comprehensive sex education is “the only way to combat heterosexism and gender conformity,” Schneider proclaimed, “and we must make these issues a part of every middle and high-school student’s agenda.”  “Gender identity expression and sexual orientation are a spectrum,” she explained, and said that those opposed to homosexuality “are stuck in a binary box that religion and family create.”

Let’s examine exactly what is being advocated for here.  What the NEA, which is very influential in public (and private) schools across the nation, is advocating is the forced (mandatory) indoctrination of children as young as 5 in a commitment-free, consequence-free, amoral lifestyle that puts base personal pleasure as the highest possible goal in life.  It seeks to indoctrinate children into not only tolerating, but accepting homosexuality, bisexuality, etc, and if past such programs are any guide, will encourage children to experiment with themselves and others starting at elementary school ages.  And the plain goal is to develop indoctrination programs that encourage students to ignore their parents and their faith in this headlong pursuit of hedonistic pleasure.   The NEA, apparently, is now directly counter to traditional faith and morals and, specifically, Christianity.  Nice.

This is our culture, now, folks.  As time goes by, I fully expect to see programs like this become increasingly widespread and mandatory.  This is little more than the forced sexualization of children.  I can’t imagine the logic that goes into programs like this, unless it’s to breed generations of targets for pedophiles and pederasts and insure Planned Barrenhood and similar organizations do a booming business in abortion.  Or, I suppose it could simply be that amoral, perverse individuals have been allowed (encouraged?) to advance to the top ranks of many influential non-governmental organizations.  Or, this kind of thinking, implacably hostile to religion and traditional moral values, could simply be endemic to the Left.

The reason why I say that is……I have six kids.  I know lots of other kids.  And while at very young ages every kid tries to figure out what they’re made of, what all the parts are, this kind of activity, this kind of knowledge, is totally foreign to my kids, and I think many others, especially children of homeschoolers.  THEY ARE KIDS!  They simply don’t think about this kind of thing (unlike these apparently sex-obsesses adults, who apparently think of little else).   Nor have my kids given any inclination of doing anything like this.  They don’t need to know.  They’re kids!  When they’re old enough, it’s up to parents to start to bring up discussions on the subject of sexuality, but when, and how, MUST be up to parents, not faceless bureaucrats of indoctrinated NEA members.

Somehow, human society survived, even thrived, for millenia without this kind of obscene material being put in the face of small children.  I can’t imagine the cost of forcing this kind of adult knowledge on little children.  The loss of innocence will be horrific.  They simply do not need to know.

Reason #787,945 to keep my kids as far away from public schools as possible.  Is it any wonder we see 6 year old girls wearing ‘porn star’ shirts or other completely inappropriate dress?  We have such an incredibly schizophrenic society.

Do we stand at a precipice? March 4, 2011

If we lived in slightly different times, say, with a Republican in the White House instead of every liberal’s exotic ‘other’ fantasy of a President (to assuage their unbearable guilt at being rich and white, naturally), I don’t think we’d be able to find a place on the planet to hide from the screams of the media that we are in an absolute Constitutional crisis.  But, I think that is where we are, on many fronts.  And sorry for the political post, but there are some things I’d like to say.  We currently have an Administration that is very publicly declaring that it will only enforce certain laws, that it will only obey certain court decisions, and that it will deliberately contradict other court decisions and plow forward in abeyance of Constitutional checks and balances.  I am referring, of course, to Obama’s decision not to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, but also several other startling, frightening things.  A federal judge in Florida has ruled that Obamacare, and specifically, the requirement that everyone in the country have medical insurance (which is the provision that gives Obamacare its teeth, that makes it function), is unconstitutional, and that the federal government and the states must stop implementing the administrative provisions of this health insurance nationalization.  Obama has not complied, and now the judge has demanded that the Administration either stop moving forward with Obamacare or file an appeal.  In New Orleans, a federal courty judge has given the Obama Administration 30 days to issue new permits for oil and gas exploration in the Gulf (and this was about 3 weeks ago), after Obama had refused to issue new permits in spite of losing several federal court cases in which his Administration had tried to impose an indefinite moratorium on exploration and production in the Gulf.

Each of these 3 acts are breathtaking in their violations of normal Constitutional checks and balances, and are, frankly, far more serious infractions of the law and Constitution than Watergate ever was.  If we had a Republican president, we would be hearing constantly that this was the biggest Constitutional crisis this nation had faced since the 1860s, and, for once, the media would be right.  But instead, nothing.  We no longer have an effective, independent media: we have, instead, a large, corporate media that is an absolute lapdog of the democrat party and which openly favors socialism for this nation.  The internet helps balance this bias out a great deal, but we need an effective, unbiased, cynical media, not the fawning pre-teens we have today.

But I think the biggest threat to the Constitution and the future of this republic is what is occurring in Wisconsin right now.  It is beyond frightening, beyond shameful, and the fact that the Obama Administration has been bussing in supporters and using excess campaing contributions  from 2008 to pay for many of these ‘protests’ is so beyond the pale with regard to law and the normal function of a republic that it beggars the imagination.  Imagine George Bush bussing in Republicans to stage protests outside a liberal state capitol?  Imagine him supporting efforts to violate the law and defy the will of the people as expressed in a fair election?  This is amazing, and the media do nothing, they say nothing, because their darling is the one pulling the strings, and they won’t do anything to make him look bad.  If these tactics succeed, if the will of the people can be overturned by a narrow minority who bask in comparative economic splendor at the expense of the taxpayer and private industry, these tactics will be multiplied across the nation and ‘elective democracy’ in this country will be finished.

I did not think I would see the day when a presidential Administration would be able to blatantly flaunt the Constitution and have the media stand idly by, no……cheering him on.  Normal checks and balances do not seem to apply.  There appear to be no limits to what this guy could do.  I’m rather afraid for the future of this country.

Oh, another reason why we’re doomed – even 2/3 of tea party people think significant cuts to social security and medicare is ‘going too far’ to address the massive, hideous, utterly unsustainable deficit.  We…..are……..screwed…….$580 billion in interest payments on the national debt – in one month!
