I should have posted earlier, but I’ve been kind of out of it all day, as well as way too busy at work!  I need to be able to do this blogging thing as a job!  I’d make dozens of $$!  Yahoody!

The first Pontifical Mass celebrated at the ‘main’ or ‘prime’ church in St. Peter’s (which has many, many altars!) was celebrated over the past weekend!  The great JP Sonnen at Orbis Catholicus has many pics and a video of the entire Mass!  Just a few pics below:

First high Mass at this altar in over 40 years!  Woot!

Ladies, you DO NOT have to wear the veil to assist at the Traditional Mass.  Yes, most do, but it’s no problem whatsoever not to wear one!  No one will give you a hard time.

OK, I had to post one video, too:

That’s Cardinal Brandmuller.

Blood Money documentary on Planned Barrenhood showing at St. Mark Plano May 16, 2011

Readers of this blog will know, and prayerfully agree, that Planned Parenthood is as nasty, forlorn an organization as there is in this country.  Planned Barrenhood has been responsible for the deaths of millions of infants, has been caught red handed numerous times engaged in covering up child sex abuse, perpetuating race based genocide, and in numerous cases lying repeatedly about the nature and purpose of their business (for instance, claiming to perform mammograms, when they do not).  From it’s very inception, Planned Parenthood has misrepresented its goals and activities in order to curry political favor and keep the public from knowing what goes on within its facilities.

A recently released movie helps expose many of these nefarious, I would even say evil activities – Blood Money.  This 75 minute movie is being shown at St. Mark in Plano in the ‘Upper Room’ (2nd floor of the large office building facing 15th Street in Plano).  ‘Blood Money’ was produced by the Catholic Pro-Life Committee of Dallas.   The only bad thing is that the movie is showing at 9:15 am, on a Wednesday, which makes it kind of hard for those of us who work to get to.  But if you can make it, I highly recommend trying to see this movie.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary North Texas Home School and Parent Conference will be held Friday and Saturday, May 27-28 at the Arlington Convention Center!   There are many noteworthy speakers, and numerous booths with copious information and other helps to either get started in, or continue, your homeschooling efforts.  Speakers include Fr. Joseph Fessio, CEO of Ignatius Press, Dr. Ray Guarendi of EWTN radio fame, and our own awesome Fr. Phil Wolfe of Mater Dei parish in Dallas.  If you’ve never heard Fr. Wolfe give a talk, I’d say that he alone is reason to go.  You can register at the website linked above.  Unfortunately, we can’t make it, as it’s Memorial Day weekend and we’re going on a uranium prospecting trip in Uzbekistan.  Or, it’s my father-in-law’s birthday and we’re going to awesome Medina Lake in God’s Own Country, Hill Country Texas USA.  Whichever my wife decides she’d rather do.
