Sure…….”Catholics” support Obama February 6, 2012

Is support for this man sufficient to disqualify one from being in the Body of Christ, or at least the life of Grace?:

….a survey conducted this week has the president beating Republican hopefuls Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich among Catholic voters in the 2012 race.

According to the Public Religion Research Institute, Obama gets 48 percent of the Catholic votes to Romney’s 40 percent and 56 percent of the Catholic vote to Gingrich’s 32 percent……

Commenter Terry C feels that Obama should be called evil.  I have a hard time disagreeing.  Apparently, half of those who call themselves Catholics (many of which probably have not darkened the door of a church in years), cannot recognize that evil.  Or, they’ve been taught that some evil can be accomodated, if it accomplishes “a greater good,” a complete repudiation of Thomist reasoning, which establishes (and is, in fact, a Dogma of the Faith) that good cannot come from evil.  If Obama’s constant persecution of the Church and almost evangelical support for abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, etc.,  don’t count as evil, I don’t know what does.

But another poll, done by Fox, shows that white Catholics oppose Obama 49/42, which is still very sad.

To all my fellow citizens,

I have just read this posting regarding the “Catholic” majority and their pick for our next president. This country is dangerously close to peril if in fact it’s not too late. I just watched an interview from Mike Wallace to Rick Santorum. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, pray, hope, support, and spread the word for this exceptional man, Rick Santorum.

I don’t know of any previous candidate in my lifetime, or dare I say even before, that is so morally correct on all issues, that walks the walk to support his talk. When he first came on the scene, their were many favorable comments made in support of him with the additional gloom phrase, “but there is no way he can make it” and reasons stating a lack of funding or he would be media fodder.

I am now convinced that he can make it. He is very direct on answering the issues without ambiguity, and with a gift for teaching that is powerful, yet simple. He surprised the country in Iowa, and has proven a real contender for the Republican nomination. The latest polls show him as the only Republican candidate that can beat Obama in an election. I believe that if anyone else gets the nomination, this country will have another McCain moment. Romney, and Gingrich, are not strong conservatives on all issues, but Santorum is. He knows national and world defense, immigration, the role of government in health care and free enterprise/jobs/education. He knows the proper size of government. He has personal character that is tried and true. He has no dirty laundry and can take on the media and liberals. Santorum is the right choice for America. God Bless America.

Oh Mary conceived without sin, pray for us!
