Latin Mass tonight at 7pm.  Let’s have some of the folks who have been gone for a while come back!

Do they offer reconciliation before Mass as well?

tantamergo - April 23, 2012

No. There were a couple of dates that coincided with the additional times for Confession during Lent, but no, there is not a regularly scheduled Confession before or after.

Sorry!

Mass AND confession at the same time? What are you thinking, Raul! There are only three priests at St. Marks and one has to say the Mass! Geesh.

Thank you for this weekly reminder.
Not sure why it is not in the bulletin anymore?
Many thanks to Fr. Hopka for offering this Mass.

Woody has a knack for saying things in just the right way.

Thanks, lilyrose. The Mass has never been “advertised” much at St. Mark. It was never listed with the other Masses in the bulletin, it was always listed separately like it wasn’t quite a Mass, or somehow did not merit being grouped with the rest of the Masses. There is much history there. Much I cannot say. Suffice it to say, it was not the choice of the pastor of St. Mark to have the Mass.

I’ve learned a great deal through this process. The foremost thing I’ve learned is “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.”

If you are up to the task, Lilyrose, write a polite letter to Fr. Cliff about your concern. I am sure he would not have a problem with advertising the Latin Mass in the bulletin in the area where the masses are listed. After all, he has no problem with listing any mass offered in any other language in the parish.
