Uff da. Itching ears. A lie becomes the truth. But in actuality, this is pathetic. A very secretive organization has published what it calls the first “gay bible,” which purports to correct errors to Scripture which crept in……FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME!……..in 1946. They are literally calling it the Queen James version, which is blasphemous right there – using drag queen terminology in the name of a Bible, even an erroneous protestant one. Yes, prior to that, Christianity had absolutely nothing to say about homosexuality. The sad thing is, they can probably convince a large number of people that this ludicrous claim is true:
Titled the Queen James Bible, its publishers argued in a statement that it accurately translates certain verses pertaining to homosexuality, which have been misunderstood by religious conservatives.
“Homosexuality was first overtly mentioned in the Bible in 1946 in the Revised Standard Version. There is no mention of or reference to homosexuality in any Bible prior to this – only interpretations have been made,” said the editors. [This is utter garbage, see below]
“The Queen James Bible addresses those controversial verses by editing them very slightly for interpretive clarity. The edits all confirm that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality, and therefore renders such interpretations impossible.”
…The Queen James has a mysterious background. On its official website, no specific publisher is mentioned nor any editors or translators listed by name. On its Amazon purchase page, the author is listed as God and the contributor as Jesus Christ. [As I said, this is utterly blasphemous, as only those with such a heinous alliance with sin could do] It also only contains two preview pages, the cover and the following page which simply has the title of the translation in small print.
About that claim….as I posted a couple of days ago, Saints have been denouncing the foul evil of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah for centuries. These Saints based their denunciations on Scripture, Scripture they frequently quoted in these denunciations. St. Peter Damian wrote his Book of Gomorrah in the 12th Century. In it, he references previous Conciliar statements denouncing these sins going back to the 7th and 8th centuries. Early Church Fathers condemned these sins as well – St. Augustine, certainly, but others as well. So, the idea that Scripture was modifed by homophobes in the 20th century is the kind of statement only someone completely devoid of either knowledge or ethics could make. In fact, Christianity has been condemning homosexual acts since its earliest days, it has been a constant belief for 2000 years. No amount of ignorant revisionism can change that.
I feel very badly for those who have concocted this abomination, and for those who will be influenced by it. Things like this, and the destructive “gay-friendly” churches that similarly twist or trivialize Scripture, help confirm people in their sins and insure that those involved in, trapped in, this lifestyle will remain in it. It will take a miracle of Grace to convert many of these folks. As the Saints alluded to, the reasons people fall into these sins are complex, but once they do, they are extremely, extremely difficult to overcome.
They have my prayers.
Girl Scouts take part in another major pro-abort conference December 14, 2012

This one, at the very highest levels, the UN Population Fund conclave in….where else?…….Bali. These NGOs, much like the ecumenical movers and shakers of the Catholic Church, live very well.
This was a conference dedicated to the promotion of abortion as a right for underage girls (that contraception should be available to 9 year olds is, to these people, just a given), and both the YWCA and the Girl Scouts were on the steering committee with Planned Barrenhood.
And yet, most Catholic parishes host a Girl Scout troop. Ummm……why is that, again?
The organizers’ priorities were clear from the opening statements given by the two youth members of the steering committee, both of whom are employed by pro-abortion organizations. They urged that “safe abortion services” be accessible to young women and that gender should be viewed as “not in a binary” (A definition of binary is “a whole composed of two.”) Also on the steering committee were representatives of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, World YWCA, and the World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides, as well as members of the Indonesian government that hosted the event.
In keeping with the introductory themes, the conference outcome document recommends decriminalizing abortion and removing restrictions on abortion access, including waiting periods, parental or spousal consent, and age of consent. The declaration also recommends comprehensive sexuality education that “include[s] information on sexual orientation and gender identities that is free of religious intolerance,” the decriminalization of sex work, and government recognition of a “constantly evolving” concept of the family.
These conferences are utterly boring and predictable. The conclusion is reached before anyone arrives. Of course abortion is a positive good. Of course it should be available to anyone of any age at anytime for any reason. Of course it “saves women’s lives.” Of course we should oppose “intolerant religions” who can’t see the “empowering” effects of murdering millions of children a year. In fact, those who are “intolerant” shouldn’t even have the right to exist.
Unfortunately, these stupid conferences aren’t useless…..in fact, they are a major element in the left’s way of manufacturing sham consensus. Anyone who opposes the majority view is hounded and silenced, as the article makes clear later on. This is all about advancing the revolution, and nothing else. All these NGOs and idiot UN bodies have been dominated by sexular leftist pagans for decades. And yet, they are treated as if they are actual, serious organizations which represent some “will of the people.”
It is from bodies such as these that the declarations will come in future years outlawing certain intransigent religons. Or at least making sure everyone knows they are totally persona non grata.
And yet, through monies raised by local Girl Scout troops, and the USCCB’s rather cozy relationship with the national Girl Scouts organization, Catholic money helps to fund things like this. Those Girl Scout cookies help fund things like this, if not directly, at least indirectly.
Would a faithful Catholic parish host a Planned Parenthood office? Why then are they hosting Girl Scouts?
