I loved Ace’s headline on this: “‘Recant Your Heresies,’ The Freethinker Demanded, Trembling with Religious Fury and Transcendent Ecstasy”  It’s so very true, as  you will see.

“Rational” atheists/agnostics/leftists love to think they are sooo very superior to those Christofascist bible thumpers and their bizarre, antiquated superstitions.  None of that for them, these enlightened post-Christians know they are completely above anything like that.

But then why do their actions look so very much like the kind of goose-pimply fervor that comes from true religious zeal?

The setup is this: Mozilla, successor to Netscape, hired a man to be their new CEO.  It turns out, this man, 6 years ago, gave $1000 to support the Proposition 8 initiative, a constitutional amendment that passed in California, defining marriage as between one man and one woman (unless you have been living under a rock, you know a sodomite judge who desires to marry his body-buddy judged Prop 8 unconstitutional).  I guess this story has just been huge in certain segments of teh intrawebs, where throngs of  sexular pagans are demanding a ritualistic sacrifice to their dark god for this horrific fake heresy.

An anonymous writer — an insider in the tech world, but unwilling to share his or her name (go figure) — writes about the Moral Panic burning over the tech industry over the elevation of Brendan Eich to the head of Mozilla.

Eich once made a $1,000 donation to Prop 8, in 2006, shortly before the pro-gay-marriage Senate candidate Barack Obama would be persuaded by the righteousness of the traditional marriage cause, and thus announce his conversion to the proposition that marriage must be as it had been eternally, a union between a man and a woman.

For some reason, the rabid Upper Income White Women (and Feminized White Men) of the tech industry don’t seem to think Barack Obama deserves criticism for that position, but they’re very sure that Eich should either recant or be fired.

The new sexular pagan religion is not one to be crossed.  They do not trifle.  They seek to crush all heretics opposition.   A writer for some lowlife Silicon Valley rag literally demanded public Confession, public penance, ritualistic ablution and propitiatory sacrifice for this hideous crime against the satanic sexular pagan religion:

Stop saying that this was merely a private matter that won’t affect your work as Mozilla’s CEO. That’s disingenuine [ummm, not a word] and beneath a leader of your stature.

Say that whatever chain of logic led you to conclude that your personal views required you to support Proposition 8 was flawed, erroneous, incorrect. You may well maintain those same views—that’s your prerogative—but you don’t have to draw the same conclusions from them today as you did six years ago. [You will think as we demand or we will see to it that you are crushed.  Oh, we can’t get inside your head to know what you really think – yet – but you had better talk and act like you repent of your Christianist heresy or we will destroy you]

Go further. Say that you support the rights of people to enter into same-sex marriages everywhere.  [Public confession, public recanting for the sin of supporting marriage] Say that you will not only support employees in the United States who are in same-sex marriages, but that you will also fight for the civil rights of Mozilla employees [ritualistic ablution for the sin of heresy] who work in societies with less progressive views.

Finally, make a donation equal in amount to the money you gave to Proposition 8 [propitiatory sacrifice] and candidates who supported it to the Human Rights Campaign or another organization that fights for the civil rights of LGBT people.”

A writer at First Things (which I generally try to avoid) noted that the moral extremism and pseudo-religious fervor behind the propagation of this satanic, inverted morality bodes ill for faithful Catholics, Christians, and conservatives in general.  These people will take no prisoners. They will be no length to which they will not go to further the spread of their immorality and  your fervent acceptance of it.  I don’t even know if quivering obeisance will be allowed anymore, these people seem bound and determined to force everyone, publicly, onto their side.

There is an old joke regarding the legalization of sodomy.  I’ve seen it in many places.  It goes: “I don’t mind if they legalize sodomy, so long as they don’t make it mandatory.”

Well, folks…..at this point, I would not rule that out.  We are already seeing some signs that mere rejection of unwanted same-sex advances is starting to be seen as the dreaded and loathed “homophobia.”  As I mentioned in the previous post, more and more radical feminists are going over to the idea that the marital act always constitutes rape, and that “heterosexuality” (previously known as being normal) is a false, imposed “desire.”  At least for women.  So a stage is being set where these radical feminists, utterly dominant in certain environments like academia, can more or less demand sex from students at the cost of being cast out of the sisterhood and publicly pilloried if any refuse.

We are seeing a probably decent, normal person being crushed for the “heresy” of believing marriage is between one man and one woman.  90+% of the fervent supporters of same-sex marriage believed the same until a few years (or months, or even weeks) ago.  But there is no mercy for the unconverted. Mercy is a practice totally foreign to this emerging, satanic, replacement-religion for Christianity.

It’s going to be a rough ride.

I think you’re right. Tolerance alone will never be enough. They will demand we embrace homosex and declare it superior to heterosex.

I see someone hasn’t heard of #BanBossy…

The consensus of thoughtful and wise people is being illustrated almost every day, it seems: ss fake marriage will be the instrument of formal persecution.

I’m considering an open letter to my non-Catholic immediate family explaining why Mom, yet again, will have to be “difficult” about so many things in ordinary life. With links. Easier to cover everything and probably more productive than trying to talk to them one-on-one.

Of course, I’ll sound crazy. But who would have thought we would be at this point so soon?

Those who “stand behind” (yes, pun intended) homosexuality do no more than prove that they suffer from abnormal sexual behavior. No matter how much you scream and rant that homosexuality is normal, it is not but will always be deviant sexual behavior. Those who practice it are mentally disturbed. How much further will their deviant mental behavior progress to other areas of their life? Look at their life style, how they dress, behave, talk. Deviant behavior, sexual or otherwise, when approved by society only leads to further and more extreme deviant behavior.

Soo…does this mean that I should stop using IceWeasel, the Linux version of Firefox?

tantamergo - April 4, 2014

?? It does mean they are duplicitous as heck when they say, and I quote from Mozilla’s official twitter announcing this guy’s firing: “We believe in openness and that no one should be persecuted for the beliefs they hold, no matter what they are.” Except, of course, Christians/conservatives who support marriage and oppose depravity. They should be destroyed.

Ah, I see. Ok, thanks for the additional info. I was scratching my head there for what exactly what was the issue. My apologies for my intellectual density in this regard. I wonder what alternatives I can find. Microsoft and Google are definitely out for more than just the reason that they just don’ work on Linux. Opera?

tantamergo - April 4, 2014

I have used Opera and it’s not bad.

I’m not saying there is a duty to perform here, it’s mostly just “here is what is going on” kind of thing.

discipleofthedumbox - April 4, 2014

Gotcha. Thanks.

I’ve already found another called rekonq, a web browser for KDE desktop, and I am trying it out. So far, so good. I sure do love Linux. Options, options, options…and most for free!
