I received the following in an e-mail from a reader who will stay anonymous. It’s for a post-abortion recovery retreat for men, to be held on Saturday May 31. Details below:
On Saturday, May 31, 2014, there will be a special retreat for men offered that is geared to helping men deal with a past abortion. If you or a male friend have experienced this lost fatherhood, this one day retreat will be helpful. This is the first time to my knowledge that a retreat like this is being offered for men in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The information I have been given is that it is similar to Project Rachel, but for men. I believe Priests for Life has also been successful hosting retreats like this for men.
Before you say “no”, here are a few things that you need to know:
1) All inquiries are CONFIDENTIAL.
2) There is NO “judging”
3) There are NO “put downs”
4) Attendees to my knowledge do NOT have to give out their last name.

Many of us have made bad mistakes in life. Some of us have been blessed, by the Grace of God, not to have reason to consider or participate in an abortion, but others have not been so fortunate. A counselor outside an abortion mill mentioned recently that even couples (esp. married couples) that do not go through with an abortion often times have a great deal of guilt for even seriously considering one. There is an enormous spectrum of emotions in those who have played a role in procuring an abortion, from cold-hearted indifference to a lifetime of guilt and remorse.
While we may deplore the fact that abortion exists and that people procure them, we must have great compassion for those who are suffering from the results of their decision. Abortion is simply a mass tragedy afflicting our culture and so many millions of people. Very few people have a “positive” abortion experience – only pathological leftists and similar disturbed individuals. It leaves most people involved badly scarred. I hope this program helps men who have made this tragic, life-taking choice.

Just days after Pope Paul VI moved one step closer to canonization after a miracle required for Beatification was formally approved, an EOTT source inside the Vatican’s Congregation for the Causes of Saints today is saying that a second miracle was approved this morning.
A yet to be released report by the Vatican states that an unidentified priest, through the miraculous intercession of Pope Paul VI, gave an entire homily on the topic of Humanae Vitae during the Summer of 2012.
The unidentified priest reportedly gave the homily during National Natural Family Planning Awareness Week in 2012, which occurs annually around July 25th, the anniversary of the release of Humanae Vitae by Pope Paul VI.
One former parishioner who was present during the miraculous homily told EOTT today that she had “never heard something so obscene” in all her years. “That was the last time I ever stepped foot into a Catholic church. Many parishioners, myself included, left to become members of the Unitarian Church across the street that very day. We felt so much more accepted. Our new church even has Zumba Yoga!”……

The Vatican this morning is announcing that every pope that has ever lived, including ones still living, is to be canonized by the end of the year, sources are confirming.
The news comes just a week after John XXIII and John Paul II were canonized, and a day after it was announced that Paul VI was to be beatified later this year.
A Vatican insider told EOTT today that Pope Francis awoke earlier this morning shouting, “Canonize them all! Canonize them all!”
Sometimes we just need to laugh.

A most disturbing account via Tancred at Eponymous Flower has surfaced, of how a young Catholic maid of Orleans, chosen to represent the great Saint and Patron of France, was forced to at least somewhat recant her monumental errors before being allowed to take part in the 585th commemoration of the Saint’s Feast.
What terrible heresy did the French sexular pagan inquisitors accuse the maid of? “Homophobia:”
The 585th year of the Feast of Jeanne d’Arc, will be commemorated in Orleans. The 17 year-old girl who was chosen this year to represent the Holy and great figure of French national history, was pilloried due to “Homophobia” because she thinks the civil rights movement Manif pour tous is cool. In 2014 there has been a case made in Orleans against Johanna. There were no longer Englishmen raising the pretext of heresy, but their French compatriots under the pretext of homophobia.
The Feast is celebrated from 29 April to 9 May in Orleans for the 585th anniversary of its liberation by Jeanne d’ Arc this year. The young girl had raised the resistance of France by divine inspiration and even led and freed Orléans in 1429 from the English. By these same, she was later accused of “heresy”, sentenced to death by a kangaroo Court and burned at the stake in innocence. In 1920 she was canonized by the Catholic Church…….
……The enraged de sport Guilloux [a radical sodomite socialist politician] cited as reason, because the civil rights movement Manif pour tous and the Veilleurs were found on the 17 year old’s Facebook page under their “Favorites”. Both movements have arisen from the resistance of the Socialist law to legalize the “gay marriage” in France. [And those movements have the support of many millions of Frenchmen. So she is hardly an “extremist” by supporting them.]

Modern “tolerance” has no culture, because it wants to celebrate the feast of a Catholic Saint, but promotes anti-Catholicism.

Folks, this is how the new left sexular pagan ruling class operates. With militant sodomites as their operational punishing wing, you will be brought to heel. There will be no excuse. It is only a matter of time before most of us, or even all of us, will be forced to either suffer significantly or basically recant our faith. It is a tragedy that in this case, this young girl – chosen to emulate a martyr who so represents adherence to the Faith no matter the cost – apparently chose to cave in. I don’t read French so I can’t really tell what all she said in the statement that finally appeased the sodom-loving left, but it is unlikely they were satisfied with much less than a repudiation of her support for marriage as it has always been and can only be.
What will we do when we are faced with this choice? I don’t think it unlikely that some of us may be faced with this choice, and very soon.

EXTREME CONTENT WARNING! DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU ARE NOT AN ADULT OR IF YOU HAVE A SENSITIVE CONSCIENCE!
I never go to Catholic Answers. Yes, yes, there is some OK content on the main site (along with a ton of post-conciliar dreck), but the forums are loci of post-modernist Amchurch gnosticism and completely unreliable. Representing traditional beliefs on those fora which would have been completely acceptable and unremarkable to any faithful Catholic of a few decades ago will get you banned there today. So perhaps I should not have been surprised when I saw this post via a completely unrelated site, and not so scandalized by the worldly, “confirm in sin” responses, but I was (I add emphasis and comments):
Ok, my partner [Full stop. Partner? Bad sign] has admitted from the start that he loves looking at women’s legs especially if the woman is wearing a short skirt, tights and high-heels. No problem. [Well, I guess we’ll just toss out Matt V:28] As we got to know each other more, and by the way he’s a Eucharistic minister, [OF COURSE HE IS! NOTHING COULD MAKE MORE SENSE!] I have found out that he regularly watches porn, masturbates several times a week, and likes putting on my tights and panties and masturbating, whilst fantasizing about Britney Spears, Madonna, Sharon Stone, Katy Perry, or different porn stars, actresses, or any woman he sees wearing a short skirt. [So this guy has absolutely no self-control and is completely lost in sins of lust. As soon as he sees a scantily clad woman, he can’t wait to cross-dress and masturbate. And yet he handles Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament as an EMHC!] My attitude was: pray for him, tell him it’s addictive and bad for his soul, and just hope he’d eventually cut down and stop. But he says there’s nothing wrong with masturbation coz it’s not doing anyone any harm and that everyone does it, including priests. [I pray God priests haven’t told him its OK because they do it too, but that possibility can hardly be discounted] He’s 45 and he’s been doing this for years, so it’s unlikely he’ll stop now. Any time I’ve refused sex [OK, so you admit to fornication] he says well we’re not hurting anyone. I feel spiritually sick and trapped. [Yes, persisting in grave sin tends to do that. I certainly felt that way when I have been in that awful condition, especially when I was an addict] We were engaged but he canceled, saying he couldn’t commit. [So we know its fornication] I really love this man and he treats me very well, and I know he’d never cheat. [Once again, let’s just throw out Matt V:28, as well as the constant masturbation, cross-dressing, and who knows what else] What do I do? My family can’t stand him but I love him [Listen to your family]
So obviously this is one very lost soul. And yet, of the first 30 responses to this query, only ONE (#29) mentioned the fact that she was committing grave/mortal sin herself by persisting in this fornicating relationship!
And even then, the comment was quite gentle and muted, simply saying the woman needed to “get her chastity back.” But, this being the Catholic Answers forums, someone had to disagree even with that mild point.
Most of the responses were instead along the lines of “run away this is a bad man dragging you down,” semi-secular Dr. Phil type advice. Which is nice, but again fails to correct the overall problem: this woman got into a relationship with an obviously troubled man because she engaged in fornication in the first place. So the situation is likely to repeat itself.
I couldn’t make it all the way through the comments, but no one through page 3 clearly said you must terminate this relationship and cease fornicating because it is offensive to God.
In my experience, this is very typical of Catholic Answers forums. Most of the advice is either dominated by worldly perceptions or tends towards post-modernist deformation of the Faith. Comments in line with the traditional practice of the Faith are exceedingly rare and frequently heavily criticized.
I doubt many of my readers hold a high opinion of Catholic Answers and especially the fora, but not everyone is familiar with those problems so I thought I’d give a really not very extreme example.
It was the part about the guy being a EMHC that blew me away. I bet that is not at ALL uncommon! Think what “extra” might be coming into contact with the Host! It is unbelievable how unquestioningly people accepted this practice!
Harvard black mass cancelled at Harvard, but still held May 13, 2014

Harvard University finally caved to righteous pressure from a number of sources – including some muslim ones, which may have tipped the scales – and cancelled permission to use a campus facility for a satanic black mass last night. A replacement venue was found, but then that venue said “no, thanks,” as well. Finally, it appears the satanists managed to have their blasphemous, evil “mass” at a Chinese restaurant at 10pm last night. The Harvard Crimson reports no Host was used (was any host, and if so, how does anyone know or trust it was not consecrated?):
Although the Harvard Extension School Cultural Studies Club dropped its sponsorship of a reenactment of a satanic “black mass” ritual earlier in the night, members of the New York-based Satanic Temple gathered for what appeared to be a black mass on the second floor of the Hong Kong restaurant and lounge shortly after 10 p.m. Monday.
About 50 people, mostly dressed in black and some wearing face makeup, were present for the ceremony. A consecrated host, believed by Catholics to be the body of Christ, was not used in the ritual.
Four individuals in hoods and one man in a white suit, a cape, and a horned mask were active in the proceedings, as well as a woman revealed to be wearing only lingerie. The ceremony began with a narration on the history underlying Satanism and the black mass ritual.
The restaurant’s owner, Paul Lee, said in a phone interview around 11 p.m. that he was unaware of the incident. The Hong Kong is located on Massachusetts Avenue, directly across the street from Harvard Yard…….
……Around 7 p.m., the Cultural Studies Club sent an email saying that they had been unable to find another location and would no longer sponsor the black mass, and individuals who intended to attend decided to migrate to the Hong Kong, at which the ceremony was revived. [So maybe, God-willing, they just had a satanic Chinese dinner]
God be praised, this event was not held in the full glare of the public at the originally scheduled place. Harvard, like virtually every left-dominated college or university today, has shown itself to be craven and self-interested throughout this entire ordeal. Even if some black mass did occur, it happened in a dingy Chinese restaurant that was not publicized and attracted no one but the poor, lost souls who have fallen into the worst sin possible.
It appears many faithful were energized by this event, there was a huge Eucharistic Procession involving several thousand people, and the church hosting the Holy Hour was packed. That is great. I saw a comment last night, I cannot recall where, that inability to provide for the security of the blasphemous mass was perhaps a major factor in permission to host it being withdrawn. There were apparently a number of folks who made plain they would interrupt/interfere with the sacrilege at almost any cost.
To show the duplicity of anyone involved in satanism, this is a helpful quote from LSN:
The student group claimed beforehand that it was not meant as a genuine religious ritual but merely a “cultural” expression, but the Satanic Temple indicated on their Facebook page that it was intended as a direct offence to the Catholic Church’s most cherished beliefs.
Of course, it always has been. And you can’t have a black mass without a consecrated host.
For evidence of the cravenness on the part of Harvard, another quote from the university president:
Faust added, however, that the university would not shut the event down. “Vigorous and open discussion and debate are essential to the pursuit of knowledge, and we must uphold these values even in the face of controversy,” she said. “But even as we permit expression of the widest range of ideas, we must also take responsibility for debating and challenging expression with which we profoundly disagree.”
And if the satanists held a “true” black mass, involving the ritual rape of a virgin, would you still agree? Or, even more revealingly, what if the satanists attacked islamic prayer rituals? I guarantee you Harvard would then be PROUD to shut down “vigorous and open discussion.” So typical. Infinite affronts directed at Christians are not only tolerated but tacitly encouraged by rhetoric like this, while we know the same rules don’t apply to religions that have a habit of blowing up those who offend against their cherished beliefs.
The Archdiocese’s reaction was, not atypically, fair to middling. The official denunciation of this hideous outrage did not use words like sin, blasphemy, sacrilege, and could only say a black mass ” places participants dangerously close to destructive works of evil.” No wonder we’re such easy targets! People are going to blaspheme and destroy the very Source and Summit of our Faith, the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, and all that merits is a warning that doing so places one “dangerous close to destructive works of evil?!?” THEY ARE COMMITTING THE VERY WORK OF EVIL! And that has a name! Sin!
As I said, God be praised this event was at least somewhat obstructed, and that there was a nice response from the faithful. Hopefully that response was enough to prevent those enamored of the evil one from trying again.
