Muslims in Italy smash and urinate on Virgin Mary Statue January 19, 2015

Oh, they’re only “immigrants” in the press, but they were certainly muslims as reported by numerous eyewitnesses.  The leader of ISIS has said that they will xmadonna-statue-broken-575x329.jpg.pagespeed.ic.s3Rz8wYG_jsBSXKjlY65not quit until they have conquered Rome, turned St. Peters into a stable and turned all the Christian women into sexual slaves for the islamist fighters.  These guys are not joking:

A man was kneeling in prayer before the statue of the revered Madonna, with the photograph of a loved one in hand, in the small chapel of St. Barnabas in Perugia (Italy), when he was attacked by five “immigrants.”

The first thing they did was rip the photo from his hands.

Next they unleashed their hatred against the image of the Virgin Mary. They broke the statue to pieces and then urinated on it. [If this doesn’t make your blood boil……]

Don Scarda, pastor of St. Barnabas, said the event was led by five “foreigners.”  [So even the pastor cannot name them!] By the time police arrived at the chapel, the unidentified attackers had already fled.

The incident has caused a stir among locals. Some have lambasted Pope Francis who is accused of appeasing immigrants—mostly Muslims—to wild extremes.   Earlier he had said that “Migrants, through their own humanity, cultural values, expand the sense of human brotherhood.”

Although the Diocese condemned the act of sacrilege against the Madonna statue, it also followed the Pope’s lead by absolving Islam of any responsibility for what happened.  In the words of Monsignor Paolo Giulietti, the auxiliary bishop of Città della Pieve, near Perugia:

For Islam, the figure of Mary is very important: she is the mother of the Prophet Jesus conceived in virginity, and the Blessed Virgin is the most holy woman.  Muslims pray at the Marian shrines in the Middle East. We cannot see in this act of vandalism—which as I said is wrong in every way—an episode of religious hatred. It is important not to feed mutual suspicion, especially at this time. [Yeah, yeah, just keep on telling us how all this violence and persecution is not the real islam. We keep waiting to see the real islam, while, meanwhile, the jihadis tell us they are the real islam, and I sure don’t see many muslims contradicting them.  And this reverence for the Blessed Virgin is being overstated, as is their ostensible reverence for Jesus.  Yes in a generic sense muslims have some regard for both, but when it comes to contact with Christians they hate them both because they believe Christians place them above “allah.”  And, muslims are nothing if not profoundly iconoclastic and will attack Catholic art at every turn.  So this diocesan apologia for islam is particularly disgusting and sad.  The faith of men who will issue apologias like this to islam even in the wake of such hideous atrocities will not stand the test. I fully expect to see bishops and cardinals convert to islam in my lifetime]

Meanwhile, Pope Francis has called on Catholics and Western people in general to refrain from insulting other religions—namely Islam: “It’s normal, it’s normal [violence]. One cannot provoke, one cannot insult other people’s faith, one cannot make fun of faith.”

He made these statements on January 16, apparently in reference to the Charlie Hebdo massacre, when armed Muslims killed a dozen non-Muslims working for a satirical magazine that had mocked Islamic prophet Muhammad.

One wonders if the Pope would call it “normal” if members of his own flock were to murder those who urinated on the Virgin statue?

I think we know the answer to that.

In light of the above my first response is, I’m going to pray some extra Rosaries in atonement for this horrid blasphemy directed against the Mother of God.

Secondly, I think Ibrahim right that Pope Francis’ strangely contradictory words regarding violence always being wrong for Christians, but then seeming to excuse some religious violence, was actually about giving islam a pass in this regard. I would have to say, Pope Saint JP II aside, Pope Francis is the most islamist-friendly pope in history.  I’m sure Pope St. Pius V is pleased.

Thirdly……this is not going to end well.  I’ve said it before, but the Church is being crushed between the irresistible force of islam on one side, and the immovable object of secularism on the other.  Our Lord will absolutely triumph in the end.  But He also said, “When the Son of Man come again, will he find faith on the earth?”  (Lk XVIII:18).  I pray He will, but so little bodes well for the Faith right now.

As for Our Lady, her glory cannot be dampened by the atrocious acts committed against a statue of her likeness.  I pray that her intercession may soften the hearts of the blasphemers who committed those unspeakable acts and results in their conversion and salvation.

Typical of barbarian heathens.

I fully expect to see bishops and cardinals convert to islam in my lifetime

That thought never crossed my mind. I can definitely envision a scenario where the Western limp-wristed, ultra-leftist, “tolerance”-shrieking clergymen end up converting to either save their own skin (or literally, their head) under a Mohammedan majority or to lather the skids toward some syncretic religious system under the false pretense of ecumenical brotherhood amongst the “great Abrahamic faiths.”

That’s the way things are heading. Is it an ‘accident’ or a ‘plan’? My guess it is part of a plan which the revolutionaries at Vat II set in motion to advance a one-world-religion for the NWO ‘mission’.

And the one world religion will be islam?

cenlacatholic - January 19, 2015

If I’m not mistaken, many private revelations of blesseds and saints speak of a one-world-religion of Judaism. Many rabbi’s and even prime ministers of Israel are quoted as saying that one day the Jew will rule supreme over the earth, with a world court (Talmudic Noahide) headed in Jerusalem where they will seat their king.

Mohammed called himself a “true Jew.” I don’t know if there’s a parallel there or not.

Freemasonry has played and still plays a great part in securing the aims of the Jews.

Also according to private revelation, a Great Catholic Monarch is to come back to the throne of France and route Islam out of Europe and pursue them into Africa and the East.

I’m at the office and don’t have access to my library to quote any of these purported prophecies… I suggest the book Trial Tribulation & Triumph: Before, During, and After Antichrist.

Personally, I believe the recent rise of Islam is the instrument of God’s chastisement. Judgement comes first to the people of God (1 Peter 4:17), and as the Church goes, so goes the world.
Food for thought.

We need to be cautious in the interpretation of ‘private’ revelations as a ‘prophesy’ is only properly understood in its completion. However, there is no doubt we are being chastised for our laziness and putting undue faith in mere men.

I would say that if the one world religion is going to be Judaism, then what we are seeing in the rise of islam is the single greatest head fake in the history of ever. Jews are fleeing Europe and Israel is being abandoned by more and more former allies around the world. Britain has all but cut off all military relations with Israel. So I’m not sure I see much evidence of Judaism coming out on top, but I do like the quote from mohammad, which only confirms his religion as a perverse mishmash of Arianism and Zealot Judaism.

I agree very much with your last paragraph.

By the Pope’s logic, Italian Catholics would be justified in reacting violently -“with a punch” – to this insult to their Mother.
