Old but huge: DHS views “right wing threat” as larger than islamist May 5, 2015

Well, of course.  Our muslim president views anyone not on his team as a grave threat to be obliterated. There have been a few acts of unpremeditated violence against law enforcement involving those with views hostile to the current political-economic setup of this country. But that’s radically different from terrorism, which involves premeditated and deliberate murder of others.  And it is quite a reach to claim that the largely ignorant and uneducated souls involved in the attacks can even formulate what could be truly understood as a “right wing” political philosophy. Simply because they quote or misquote the Constitution in their defense does not make them “wingers.”   Of course, there have also been many occasions of violence by deranged individuals that the media loves to initially cast as being “right wing related,” but the evidence invariably shows either someone simply mentally broken, or even with pronounced left wing views, like Jared Loughner.

Nevertheless, the DHS this past February released a report that claimed that the “terror threat” from “right wing extremists” was equal to, if not greater than, the islamist threat – and of course the media parroted this ludicrous claim uncritically.  I think that tells us all we need to know about how our “friends” on the left in government and the media view us – a cancer on society to be eliminated at any cost:

They’re carrying out sporadic terror attacks on police, have threatened attacks on government buildings and reject government authority.

A new intelligence assessment, circulated by the Department of Homeland Security this month and reviewed by CNN, focuses on the domestic terror threat from right-wing sovereign citizen extremists and comes as the Obama administration holds a White House conference to focus efforts to fight violent extremism.

Some federal and local law enforcement groups view the domestic terror threat from sovereign citizen groups as equal to — and in some cases greater than — the threat from foreign Islamic terror groups, such as ISIS, that garner more public attention. [OK. Name one. Rather than make this baseless, unsubstantiated assertion, name ONE LEO that really views right wingers as a graver threat than islamists who have already staged dozens of attacks murdering thousands of Americans.]

The Homeland Security report, produced in coordination with the FBI, counts 24 violent sovereign citizen-related attacks across the U.S. since 2010. [Wait till you see what constitutes an attack……]

The government says these are extremists who believe that they can ignore laws and that their individual rights are under attack in routine daily instances such as a traffic stop or being required to obey a court order. [SOOOO……believing your rights are under attack (which they are) now makes one a terrorist wingnut extremist.  Nice.  And oh my goodness, someone got snippy with a cop at a traffic stop over abuse of their rights!  What a horrible act of violence!]

The report goes on to cite three instances of ostensible right wing violence, but provides only one of these is even remotely viewed as being really political in orientation – that occurred in Louisiana in 2012.  The other two were conducted by either a crazed individual or were simply random violence that happened to involve police – and that’s how the investigating agencies view it, not me.  So they can trot out one instance in the past 5  years, and that one involves a “sovereign citizen movement” so far from reality I think calling it “right wing” is just another smear.  I found another after a pretty long search, dating from 2010 in Arkansas. Wow.  A whopping two events that resulted in 4 tragic deaths.  How many have islamists killed in that time?  Many more than four.

I think the point being stressed here is, much like the double standard for orthodox prelates in the Church, while atrocities committed by those with left wing views or by perceived members of the left-wing coalition will be apologized for and explained away as much as possible, those with even a tenuous connection to what are seen as “right wing” political views will be pilloried and prosecuted to the hilt.  But no one ever said the left is not hypocritical.

Soooo…..those who believe in things like God, family, morality, and limited government are the real (political) threat to be exterminated.  Gotcha.  Thanks for letting us know how much you despise us.  We’ll pray for you in return.  God bless you.

Pro-abort VP Biden comes to Dallas, advocates for perversion, receives Communion May 5, 2015

Saint Thomas Aquinas is one of the most beautiful parishes in the artistically bereft Diocese of Dallas.  It is located near the fashionable M-streets and Lakewood neighborhoods in east Dallas.  It is generally viewed as one of the more orthodox parishes in the Diocese.  Indeed, the pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas was generous with the TLM community here for some time, hosting daily TLMs for a number of years before Mater Dei acquired its own property and became a personal parish.

Unfortunately, an all too common, and all too disturbing incident occurred at the parish this past Sunday.  Vice President Joe “Gaffe Machine” Biden was in town, speaking to a group of pro-sodomy advocates.  Vice President not only indicated his support for this sin that cries out to Heaven for vengeance by his presence and affirming remarks, but also causes grave scandal and harm to the Faith through his heretical views on abortion, contraception, and many other grave moral evils.  VP Joe Biden is one of many katholyc American politicians who continue to receive the Blessed Sacrament in spite of being plainly outside the Faith due to their embrace of error.  The bishops who have tolerated this sacrilege for decades have turned both Canon Law, and the Blessed Sacrament, into a laughingstock for these radical pro-aborts and have offended God in a manner to terrible to contemplate.

Sadly, it has been reported to me by independent sources that VP Biden received the Blessed Sacrament when he showed up for Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas on the 4th Sunday after Easter.  Complaints have already been forwarded to the pastor and, I believe, the Diocese.

Now, Biden’s trip was well publicized and certainly known in advance.  It is a metaphysical certitude that both the Diocese of Dallas and the parish knew Biden would be at Mass on Sunday via the Secret Service, at least. So this was a golden-opportunity to defend the sanctity of the Blessed Sacrament, prevent grave scandal, and serve Our Lord in His Church (let alone His Person in the Sacrament) instead of the golden calf of political aggrandizement and material interests like maintaining tax exempt status.  Not for the first time, this Diocese and a local parish failed in its duty, and most horribly.

I probably shouldn’t even bother, but bishop, pastor, what do you have to say for yourselves?  Is this what we should expect from our Church leadership as the country continues frollicking, out n’ proud, towards Gomorrah?  The faithful left scandalized and without defense, our Lord re-crucified, while the overwhelming focus remains on insuring Church leadership can maintain their fantasies about influence and “a place at the table?”  And yet you know all too well how much that place depends entirely on the suffrage of the political class, who have made it quite clear that if you cross them even once, they will come after you with savage intensity.  I know…..let’s have another “Fortnight for Freedom!”……..that’ll solve everything!

Well…….guess what?  It’s happening anyway.  You can continue to pretend there isn’t a savage persecution already in the offing in the hopes of maintaining your privilege for a few more years (or is it months……or weeks?) or you can start to be shepherds to your flock and use what influence you do have to publicly chastise a few of the ravening wolves.  You could at least control what you can control – who counts as Catholic, who is allowed to receive the Blessed Sacrament, who is allowed to use the Church’s good name for their political advantage, and the like.  But even that trifling service to duty appears beyond your capacities.  You leave both Christ in the Eucharist and the dwindling number of the faithful cruelly exposed to the rapacious ministrations of those who spit on Our Blessed Lord by serving satan and mammon while claiming the sacred name of Catholic.

100 years later, nothing changes, only the places.

Shocking! Satanists sues in favor of abortion, progressives cheer May 5, 2015

Satanists in Missouri have sued the state there demanding the mandatory waiting period be abrogated because it somehow violates their satanic beliefs.  OK……satanists are crazed and immoral, no shock there.  But some prominent radical pro-aborts like Amanda Marcotte (raised in a Catholic home in far West Texas) are just positively giddy over the effort, happy to once again see efforts of Christians who have used such law to defend unborn life get their comeuppance.  Or something.  Basically, anything that is anti-Christian in general and anti-Catholic in particular is good, even the infinite diabolical evil of satanism, while any morality the Church promotes is prima facie evil and bad.  We truly live in perverse times:

Over at Slate, Amanda Marcotte thinks it’s absolutely hilarious that Satanists are challenging abortion restrictions on religious liberty grounds, seeking to expand abortion access. She argues this somehow makes conservative use of religious liberty laws “a little more complicated.” Responding to a Satanic Temple demand that an abortion clinic grant a religious exemption from the state-mandated waiting period, she writes:

While the Satanists did misfire by taking aim at the clinic, as a public act of trolling, this stunt gets an A-plus. It exposes the double standards of those who claim to stand for “religious freedom,” and it highlights how waiting periods and other restrictions are actually an attempt to impose religious dogma about abortion on those who don’t agree with it. Being denied medical care is actual religious oppression. Letting someone access her own medical care is not.

OK, lets refute the stupid fallacies. Preventing innocent babies from being murdered is not an imposition of dogma, religious or otherwise, it is an act any moral soul of decency can and must support.  There are plenty of totally secular arguments against abortion.  But look at how quickly abandonment of belief in God – and thus a transcendent frame of reference for right and wrong, beyond Marcotte’s naked will to power – degenerates into not just permission, but demands for the gravest of evils.  Marcotte’s entire belief system is built around a frame of reference of Marxist will-to-power, meaning those with power (such as a fully grown woman) can do whatever they wish to those without. But wait, there’s a massive catch, and here’s where the real hypocrisy lies, not with religious believers, but with twisted sexular pagans of Marcotte’s ilk: while Marcotte is all for relatively powerful women using their power to kill defenseless babies, her cultural marxism demands that she see women as generally persecuted by men and demands government use its power to rectify her hysterical perception.  So, will to power is wonderful when it serves Marcotte’s interests, but is bad and evil when it doesn’t.  Gotcha.

That’s pretty much the leftist sexular pagan agenda in a nutshell.  Anything that stands in the way of my banal, pointless, materialist, libertine existence is evil and must be swept aside, but anything I favor is unassailable “truth.”  Again, that’s where a total detachment from a transcendent source of Truth inevitably leads.  And as we survey the vaunting immorality of the culture around us, it is increasingly apparent we have now sunk to levels unseen since the founding of Christendom about 1700 years ago.

Of course, it’s hardly surprising the radical pro-abort left would publicly embrace yet another satanic attack on Christian belief.  The entire pro-abort movement is satanic to the core, as many people who have left that industry sadly testify.  And since satanism is a manifestly false, evil parody of true religion, their “religious objections” don’t remotely count as such and can be dismissed from the start as the ravings of souls lost in ultimate evil.  So, no, they don’t “complicate” religious objections to abortion in the slightest.  That one could even imagine they do reveals a level of thinking so twisted I don’t think the term “reprobate sense” adequate to describe it. More like “satanic always self-pleasing blinded by evil hypocritical bathed in blood sense.”

And yet the hysterical Marcotte enjoys a wide following among feminists and other radical pro-aborts, and was viewed as sufficiently influential to be named, for a short while, John Edwards online media director for his failed 2008 campaign (am I the only one who was completely un-shocked at the subsequent video-sex scandal that finally rid us of his public presence a short while later?  That’s the kind of moral filth that constitutes the modern democrat party.  See Clinton, William Jefferson for more).  Demonrats cannot claim she represents some extreme wing of the demonrat party with her constant public spewing of bile at believing Christians.  She is the core of their constituency at present.

Speaking of persecution, has the idiotic satanic temple in Oklahoma City been at it again?  Someone defaced a statue of Mary outside a Norman parish and left a voodoo/satanic message behind.

vandals deface mary

Sadly, we’ll probably have to expect to see more of this.  Bishops, they are coming for your tax exempt status viz a viz fake sodo-marriage and the whole sexular pagan agenda.  Will you stand for the Doctrine of the Faith against this effort?  I pray that you do, but your performance to date leaves me with precious little confidence.

Big business advancing radical sodo-agenda in Texas May 5, 2015

Thanks to reader MFG for the link to an absolutely atrocious Dallas Morning News article on a group of Texas business leader’s advocacy for ostensible “sodo-rights” and opposition to bills pending in the legislature that protect the family and attempt to further defend the institution of marriage.  The article is so horrid those bills get smeared with the label “anti-gay,” as if anything that does not cater to their agenda is “anti-sodomite.”  Well, given the depravity of this act, how offensive it is to God, how destructive it is of right moral conduct, and how it is advancing as little more than a vehicle to crush Christian dissent……..yeah, maybe we should be “anti-gay.”  And thanks for reminding me why I cancelled my subscription and will never, ever take it up again, DMN.  I look forward to seeing your collapse in the next 10 years or so, as your aging subscriber base dies off.

But back to the matter at hand.  There are many reasons for Catholics to have grave concerns over the current government-manipulated capitalist structure of our economy.  One really objection that often goes unnoticed, however, is the penchant for business to always go with what they perceive as the strong horse and the lowest risk activity.  Couple that with the tendency among far, far too many business leaders (especially managerial careerists within large corporations, who are often as amoral as they come) who believe morality can be completely detached from business, and you have a recipe for trouble.  For decades now, corporations large and small have been prime agents of the sexular pagan agenda.  Over twenty years ago at FMC I was informed by a diversity trainer that reverse discrimination against whites in general and white men in particular was not just OK, but just as could be, even though none of those in the room had ever discriminated against anyone else.  Cultural Marxism was the order of the day then and it remains so today.

However, the primary concern that Popes and faithful Catholics have had regarding capitalism as a system is its tendency to place money – profits – as the sole concern, the “god,” if you will, even at the expense of the good of the person and community.  That certainly seems the case below, where Texas business leaders representing over 200 high-profile corporations are now signalling they are not just fully on board with the sodomite agenda, but fight against efforts to stem the advance of this gross immorality (my comments):

Gay rights are expanding nationwide, and some Texas lawmakers are pushing back hard. They’re even proposing ways to resist a potential Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage. [Good for them. God bless them.]

So who’s stepping up with a voice of reason and a moral compass? Big business. [See what I mean by an absolutely atrocious article? Even if I weren’t a devout Catholic, this article would be atrocious because it editorializes in a most sneering and dismissive way within a supposed “news” story.  In reality, the entire thing is an opinion piece. Not how the author has now flipped thousands of years of constant belief and practice in the Judeo-Christian tradition by now making us the amoral, unreasonable ones, instead of the radical sodomite lobby and their allies such as this perverse Mitchell Schnurman.  This is exactly how the Alinskyite sodo-lobby has operated for decades now, painting those who make a sin that cries out to Heaven for vengeance the defining aspect of their entire personality as the virtuous ones, and those who believe in Christ, His Church, Sacred Scripture, and the constant moral fabric of the West going back thousands of years the bad, unreasonable, bigoted ones.  This is literally satanic in its inversion of truth.]

Over 200 companies and organizations have signed a pledge in support of diversity and gay rights. They include American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Texas Instruments, Sabre, GameStop, Dell, the Dallas Mavericks and the Houston Super Bowl Committee. [Diabolical, all]

They’re trying to head off legislation that could make Texas a hostile place for the LGBT community and a target for boycotts.

The Texas Association of Business, usually a reliable ally of conservative lawmakers, is standing with Democrats, gay rights groups and the American Civil Liberties Union. The issue is that important for economic development, equal rights and protecting Texas’ brand as a business leader. [This is really the key. Businesses, and especially corporate ladder climbers, are NOT conservative.  Oh, sure, they want the lowest possible taxes and a lax regulatory environment – things which will enrich them directly – but almost all these folks attended the same uber-leftist college MBA programs and bought the sexular pagan agenda hook, line, and sinker. Corporate leadership – by and large, there are, thank God, notable exceptions – rank among the most consistently radical, willing backers of the sodomite lobby and the rest of the cultural Marxist agenda as one can find.  They put there money where their mouth is, and donate lavishly to NGOs and non-profits that advance the perverse program.  In short, they are not allies in this fight, as this article makes clear]

“Conventions, the Super Bowl, the Final Four — all those things would be at risk in Texas if this were to become part of our constitution,” Bill Hammond, CEO of the business group, said at an Austin news conference last month.  [If what were?  The definition of marriage as between one man and a woman – it already is in the constitution.  Maybe he’s referring to RFRA, which Texas already has – it would be very good to make that a constitutional amendment, not that the feds cannot overturn even that on the drop of a dime]

Think of Indiana and Arizona, where so-called religious freedom laws brought calls to yank sports events and cancel tours. While those states’ leaders tried to repair the damage afterward, it’s hard to unring the bell. [The author continually accepts the radical sodomite lobby’s claims as “fact” during the article, and attacks the credibility of those he perceives as being on the other side.  Thus, an incredibly mild bill that purported to give some very minor protections to Christian business owners so they could not be sued out of existence for refusing to participate in a fake same sex “marriage,” now becomes “so-called religious freedom laws.” This guy is a gem.]

The issue of gay rights wasn’t on the association’s agenda at the start of the legislative session, but then lawmakers introduced more than 20 anti-gay bills and amendments. In February, Hammond urged his board to oppose the efforts, saying that Texas would get a reputation for being judgmental and unwelcoming. [note the language]

“We believe it would be bad for Texas business,” he wrote……

…….Indiana’s experience validated warnings from the Texas business group and stopped momentum in Austin. Most of the session’s anti-gay bills appear unlikely to get through, but opponents are keeping up the public pressure. [Great. Lawmakers caved. I wonder if the TCC backed or opposed these bills?]

………Companies usually steer clear of political disputes and culture wars. But on gay rights, corporate America has often led the charge. For decades, some employers have been banning discrimination, extending benefits to same-sex partners and promoting LGBT causes…….. [Why, do you think, that is?  I think it’s somewhat true, actually.  I think part of the reason is that the professional managerial class, all trained in the same MBA schools in virtually lockstep groupthink, became more and more ascendant over the past 3 decades as this sodomite agenda really got going.  So we have a group of corporate leaders all more or less formed to embrace this lifestyle.  And then most other culturally divisive matters are, sadly, already considered “settled law.” Still…..why the huge push?  What is the gain?  These poor perverse souls make up less than 2% of the population – even if they are wealthy, they wont’ make that big a difference.  Many of these corporations backing this push don’t even sell directly to the public.  I think it’s all about these corporate managers signalling to themselves and each other that they are all of the same tribe, the right-thinking elite so far above the gross habits of the Christianist hoi-polloi.  The modern left is about nothing if not the establishment of a new aristocracy, an aristocracy with its own required religious beliefs.  Sodomy and abortion are two of the most key. Got a better explanation?]

Texas Instruments, which said it has a long history of supporting equal rights, signed the latest pledge because “diversity fuels innovation and makes our company stronger,” an official said. [This is stupid and means absolutely nothing.  Are you saying sodomites make better engineers or managers?  That’s pretty much what you are saying, if you took the time to think about this mindless pablum]

Alright, enough.  Look, we can’t possibly conduct our lives boycotting the hundreds or thousands of corporations that now promote the gravest of evils.  We could spend just about all our time simply tracking the list, and we’d be down to living a really spartan and difficult existence if we did.  And too few would join us to make a difference, anyway.

But you can boycott the newspaper that produces laughably biased bile such as this (with nary a single quote in opposition to the dominant meme promoted) ridiculous PR piece for this business group. This wasn’t journalism, it was a public relations hand-job given by a like-minded reporter to an effort he feverishly supports.  That’s pathetic, but The Dallas Morning News is awash with garbage like this masquerading as “news.”  So if any readers still subscribe, my recommendation is to drop the subscription, that’s a way to hurt an entity that really is struggling and could make a difference in how long it is able to continue serving as an agent of the persecution.

My $.02.  I made my decision long ago – and, it was due to this exact same subject of lobbying in favor of perversion.

PS – So, how would you assess the odds of Bishop Farrell, or any other Texas bishop, calling a press conference to express HIS support for these pending bills and HIS opposition to this sexular pagan corporate gambit?  1000:1?  1000000:1?

Just as a reminder, in case I forget, you also start a Novena to the Holy Ghost on the day after Ascension Thursday.  That runs from Friday after the Ascension until the Vigil of Pentecost.

I did not find many options for a Novena for the Ascension.  The one below comes from EWTN.  For once, an EWTN Novena is not book-length.  I tried to find other options, but they were either incredibly short or problematic.  So…….here you go:

Jesus, I honor You on the feast of Your Ascension into heaven. I rejoice with all my heart at the glory into which You entered to reign as King of heaven and earth. When the struggle of this life is over, give me the grace to share Your joy and triumph in heaven for all eternity.
I believe that You entered into Your glorious Kingdom to prepare a place for me, for You promised to come again to take me to Yourself. Grant that I may seek only the joys of Your friendship and love, so that I may deserve to be united with You in heaven.
In the hour of my own homecoming, when I appear before Your Father to give an account of my life on earth, have mercy on me.
Jesus, in Your love for me You have brought me from evil to good and from misery to happiness. Give me the grace to rise above my human weakness. May Your Humanity give me courage in my weakness and free me from my sins.
Through Your grace, give me the courage of perseverance for You have called and justified me by faith. May I hold fast to the life You have given me and come to the eternal gifts You promised.
You love me, dear Jesus. Help me to love You in return. I ask You to grant this special favor:

(Mention your request).

By Your unceasing care, guide my steps toward the life of glory You have prepared for those who love You. Make me grow in holiness and thank You by a life of faithful service.

I have already received several confirmations that folks can attend.  That will be spectacular, I look forward to it.  Details below.  I may be a few minutes late, depending on how long Mass lasts.  We will meet in the parking lot of the post office across the street.  I plan to stay for an hour or so.

The details:  I will be praying outside  The Men’s Club, 2340 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, on Wednesday May 6, at 8 pm.  I will actually be across the street in the parking lot of the US Post Office.  This is directly across from the entrance to the inappropriately named “gentleman’s club.”

The post office parking lot is well lit and set back some distance from the very busy roadway.  It is public land so we cannot be harassed for being there.  It’s really an ideal situation, we are basically impossible to miss by patrons leaving this SOB.  Men over 18 only.  All men are welcome.  You don’t have to be a member of a particular parish.

No protesting, just prayer.  No interaction with the patrons at this time.  That may come later.  We’ll see.

This is a small way to push back against the culture of license, perversion, and death.  Maybe it’s even a way to get that canonized “smell of the sheep” we hear so much about.

Deo Gratias.
