US Border Patrol agents have revealed that 8 supposedly Syrian men attempted to infiltrate the United States in the Laredo zone recently. This in addition to 5 “Syrians” arrested in Honduras this week attempting to transit to the US using stolen Greek passports.  Enjoy the Honduran jails, fellas!

I guess Obama’s promise to admit 100,000 “Syrians” into the US just isn’t moving forward fast enough for some folks:

Two federal agents operating under the umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are claiming that eight Syrian illegal aliens attempted to enter Texas from Mexico in the Laredo Sector. The federal agents spoke with Breitbart Texas on the condition of anonymity, however, a local president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) confirmed that Laredo Border Patrol agents have been officially contacting the organization with concerns over reports from other federal agents about Syrians illegally entering the country in the Laredo Sector. The reports have caused a stir among the sector’s Border Patrol agents.

The sources claimed that eight Syrians were apprehended on Monday, November 16, 2015. According to the sources, the Syrians were in two separate “family units” and were apprehended at the Juarez Lincoln Bridge in Laredo, Texas, also known officially as Port of Entry 1.

Border Patrol agent and NBPC Local 2455 President Hector Garza told Breitbart Texas, “Border Patrol agents who we represent have been contacting our organization to voice concerns about reports from other agents that Syrians crossed the U.S. border from Mexico in the Laredo Sector. Our agents have heard about Syrians being apprehended in the area from other federal agents.” Agent Garza added, “At this time, I cannot confirm or deny that Syrians have crossed, for security reasons.”……..

………Breitbart Texas can confirm that a Syrian did attempt to enter the U.S. illegally through Texas in late September. The Syrian was caught using a passport that belonged to someone else and U.S. authorities decided against prosecuting anyone involved due to “circumstances.”

UPDATE: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed that eight Syrians were taken into custody at the Laredo port of entry.

And how about this: today Brietbart is reporting that 6 men from Afghanistan and Pakistan – those paragons of moderation and stability – were caught attempting to infiltrate the United States in Arizona:

The six men were traveling in a group and were captured roughly 16 miles into the state of Arizona, specifically, near the small picturesque town of Patagonia, Arizona.

You know, I wonder if the bishops realize just how high-risk their extremely public support for continued unlimited illegal immigration over our porous southern border really is.  They have vocally opposed most effective security measures.  If there is a major terror attack on this country that can be attributed to terrorists flowing over our effectively undefended, uncontrolled southern border – and they already have – there could be very serious blowback against the strident pro-immigration position of the USCCB.  And I would say that every day that ISIS exists and grows, that likelihood only increases.  This could have extremely serious ramifications for the bishop’s conference.

Especially since the bishop’s commitment to immigration – even “Syrian” immigration – is not quite so altruistic as they like to make out.

Move on, nothing to see here folks.

Perhaps the first jihad attack will occur at that god-awful Cathedral of our Lady of Angels in L.A., home of the most strident pro-illegal alien promoter and scandalizer, AB Jose Gomez. Oh the sweet irony that would be.

And the primary responsibility for the protection of the state of Texas lies with the federal leviathan or with us? To answer that, I would offer another question which logically supersedes the previous. The primary responsibility for the protection of the family lies with whom?

Let us re-capture the proper sense of federalism in these United States and thus move forward the ideal of Catholic subsidiarity.

Folks here in Central America certainly get it, even while most Americans appear to be otherwise occupied.
