A local lady I know made this.  She did all the art herself:


I think that’s really beautiful.  In fact, I’d love her to make one for me!

I think we should encourage good Catholic art wherever we encounter it.  It’s so rare nowadays.

I like it. much. Don’t know if I have ever seen a cross that conveys this message of Mary in terms of the crucifixion. thought-provoking.

She was trying to show Mary’s sharing in the sufferings of Christ. It is a non-standard way of showing that, but I thought it worked.

We are blessed, as Catholics, to have our arts and crafts run from the sublime to the folk.
