Sorry to be all up in your face with demands today, but would you, in your charity, pray for DdlG and the needs of his family?  He has been a longtime commenter and friend of this blog and is undergoing some trials right now.  Prayers are most needed and appreciated.

Thank you and God bless you.

Our Sick World: To Investigate Child Porn, FBI Became Top Distributor August 23, 2016

Ever get the sense that most everything we’re confronted with is some kind of Potemkin Village of reality?  That is, it’s for show, or for some ulterior motive?  I’ve always been very resistant to conspiracy theories, 9/11 trutherism, chemtrails, black helicopters, NWO, all that stuff still, to this day, leaves me cold, but I have to say something seems seriously, fundamentally amiss (and that’s putting it mildly) when the FBI, to purportedly investigate child porn rings, becomes itself one of the top, if not the top, child porn distributor in the world.  Much like Fast and Furious, when the government sought to catch penny ante arms dealers by distributing thousands of semi-auto rifles (while also furthering Obama’s gun control agenda by deliberately creating calamities), we are way past the looking glass, and into outright deviltry:

In February 2015, the FBI took control of [site name redacted], the largest dark web child pornography site at the time. But instead of shutting the site down, the agency kept it going for just under two weeks, in order to deliver malware to its visitors in the hope of identifying suspects in its investigation.

Newly filed court exhibits now suggest that the site performed substantially better while under the FBI’s control, with users commenting on the improvements. The defense for the man accused of being the original administrator of [site name redacted] claims that these improvements led to the site becoming even more popular.

“The FBI distributed child pornography to viewers and downloaders worldwide for nearly two weeks, until at least March 4, 2015, even working to improve the performance of the website beyond its original capability,” Peter Adolf, an assistant federal defender in the Western District of North Carolina, writes in a motion to have his client’s indictment thrown out.

“As a result, the number of visitors to [site name redacted] while it was under Government control [increased] from an average of 11,000 weekly visitors to approximately 50,000 per week. During those two weeks, the website’s membership grew by over 30%, the number of unique weekly visitors to the site more than quadrupled, and approximately 200 videos, 9,000 images, and 13,000 links to child pornography were posted on the site,” he continues……..

…….. “Indeed, government agents worked hard to upgrade the website’s capability to distribute large amounts of child pornography quickly and efficiently, resulting in more users receiving more child pornography faster than they ever did when the website was running ‘illegally.’”……

………In court documents from other related cases filed on Monday, defense attorneys placed a “conservative estimate” on the number of illegal images distributed by the FBI during its operation of [site name redacted]: 1,000,000.

Is even this extremity of evil unavoidable when you have a government and a culture totally divorced from the Faith of Jesus Christ, who know only “the ends justify the means,” and not “you cannot do evil that good may come of it.”  A government construed along Catholic lines would have rejected this kind of promotion of evil from the start.

I’ve written on a number of occasions how devastating child sex abuse is.  I have only known abuse victims as adults, but every one of them was horribly damaged by it, even decades later.  Rampant promiscuity, the sexualization of everything (their entire conception of reality was fundamentally altered by the abuse and somehow tinged with an overt sexuality), the inability to form and hold mature relationships, job instability, near-unanimous drug and alcohol problems……the results were devastating.  I read reports of being past victims of child sex abuse by certain online authors, even Catholics, who seem reasonably well balanced, but that has never been my personal experience.

Every scene in child porn involves direct sexual abuse of children.  That is a life being ruined before the camera. Innocence lost can never be regained, and to think of innocence lost in such a horrific, exploitative fashion – it is to weep.

To think that our government officials would have no compunction perpetuating this abuse by helping fuel the demand for it (because there are strong links between porn use and child sex abuse) simply beggars the imagination.  At this point in time, however, very little our sick, self-willed, self-pleasing government does surprises me.  And in many ways, the behavior of the FBI, ATF, Secret Service, VA, and others, simply puts into government action the kind of immoralities and psychoses that are rampant in the body politic in this supposed government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

There are no limits to the depths to which people will sink absent faith in Jesus Christ and His Church.

I almost let this month slip by without a prayer vigil!  Shame on me.  But it’s been a busy month. Woik, woik, and more woik.  The two posts I’ve done may be it for the day.

Anyway, usual announcement details below.  I’ll be there as close to 8pm as possible.

I will be praying outside  The Men’s Club, 2340 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, on WEDNESDAY Aug 31 @ 8:00 pm.  I will actually be across the street in the parking lot of the US Post Office.  This is directly across from the entrance to the inappropriately named “gentleman’s club.”

The post office parking lot is well lit and set back some distance from the very busy roadway.  It is public land so we cannot be harassed for being there.  It’s really an ideal situation, we are basically impossible to miss by patrons leaving this sexually oriented business (SOB).  Men over 18 only.  All men are welcome.  You don’t have to be a member of a particular parish.

I’ll bring my Catholic flag and Fatima banner.  If you have a Catholic flag or hat or whatever, come represent!

This is a small way to push back against the culture of license, perversion, and death.  Maybe it’s even a way to get that ballyhooed “smell of the sheep” we hear so much about.

I pray I see some of you out there!

Dear Readers, Could You Help Local Catholics in Grave Need? – UPDATED August 23, 2016

My mom, in spite being 80 herself, volunteers at the Plano Community Home-East.  This is a home for elderly and disabled individuals who need affordable housing.

There is a crisis among some of the elderly there, and it is most heartbreaking.  There is a group of 1o or so Catholics there who have no way to assist at Mass.  They have been unable to attend Mass for months or even years, in some cases.  These are people on decidedly fixed incomes who both cannot afford, and in many cases no longer have the ability, to drive a car.  They have asked for help from local parishes and even the dioceses to provide transportation for them to Mass, or even look into finding souls who might help, but they have received a decidedly cold response (especially from the diocese).

Also, it seems these folks never have priests (or any others) visit them to bring the Blessed Sacrament.  More than the infinite Grace of the Eucharist, however, they long to assist at Mass, any Mass, and partake in the Source and Summit of our glorious Faith again.

I am praying volunteers who live in the Plano area can be found to make arrangements with these souls to provide transportation to assist at Mass.  I know bringing 10 or more souls to Mass may seem a logistical problem, but if even a few could be brought to Mass each week, over a month over a few weeks all could assist at Mass.  Or maybe you have a large van that could take all at once?  A further suggestion might be to see if these souls have any desire to assist at the TLM again, as they did in their youth.  Many Mater Dei families live in the Plano/Allen/McKinney area – perhaps some rides could be arranged that would have minimal impact on everyone’s schedules?

The good news is that all of these people are generally ambulatory, though some need a cane or a walker.  There is no need for wheelchair accessible transportation.

If there are any readers who live near the Plano area who think they could help, please contact me directly at larryr103@gmail.com.  If you belong to a local Catholic e-mail list like PARCH or whatever please consider sending out a link to this post!  The Plano Community Home is located at Ave L and 18th Street, so it is about 5 minutes from St. Mark or maybe 8-9 minutes from Mission of the Sacred Heart, though I imagine the elderly would feel more comfortable at the former.  The desire is most especially for SUNDAY Mass, though there may be an interest for weekday Mass at some point if arrangements could be made.

If any interested parties will get in touch with me, I’ll arrange contact with those needing help at the Plano Community Home to work out arrangements.  God bless you and thank you so much for your consideration.  You would be helping in a spiritual and corporal work of mercy of the highest magnitude.

UPDATE: As often happens when a large number of people are involved, especially elderly people, messages sometimes get confused.  Some people at the home are now claiming a priest DOES come to offer Mass weekly, while others continue to maintain that doesn’t happen.  I am trying to dig through this and find out the truth.  I am waiting for clarification from site staff/management.  However, it seems that even if there is a Mass offered there, some of the elderly are deeply dissatisfied with it, for what are probably the usual reasons.  There may be some interest in the TLM.  Stay tuned, I’ll get back with more details next week, God willing.
