I know I am late with this reminder.  Days late.  This post was originally uploaded last year.  It’s really never too late to start a Novena, but sorry the timing is very off on this. I just plum forgot.

Sorry folks, I have been so busy with work today I have had little chance to post.  A quick one on some upcoming Novenas to offer up!

Even as you continue your Novena for Christ the King, Friday October 23 and Saturday October 24 start the Novenas for All Saints and All Souls Days.  Novenas below, I pray you find them useful!

Novena Prayer to All Saints

My heavenly brothers and sisters, from those most renowned to those of greatest obscurity, I come before you now in all humility and commend myself, and all who are dear to me, to your intercession.

Pray for us always, that we may awake each day with a burning desire for the Lord whose Face you behold, that we will maintain an intimate personal relationship with Jesus, our Savior and Head, and that we will not hesitate to proclaim God’s greatness to others, and love them as the Lord loves us.

As you offer your continual praise before the throne of God,   I raise my heart to you now to implore your powerful intercession for these special needs:  (………).Mention your intentions

I am confident that your prayers on our behalf will be graciously heard by our loving and merciful Lord.  By his grace, may we someday join you in the glory of the Father’s house.

Novena Prayer for All Souls

O God, the Creater and Redeemer of all the faithful,
grant to the souls of Thy servants and handmaids departed,
the remission of all their sins;
that through pious supplications
they may obtain the pardon they have always desired.
Who livest and reignest with God the Father
in the unity of the Holy Ghost,
God, world without end.
Amen.

From the gate of hell, deliver their souls, O Lord.  O Lord, hear my prayer. And let my cry come unto Thee.

LET US PRAY: O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant unto the souls of Thy servants departed the remission of all their sins; that, by pious supplications, they may obtain the pardon which they have always desired.  Grant this, O God, Who livest and reignest for ever and ever, Amen.  O eternal God, Who, besides the general precept of charity, hast commanded a particular respect for parents, kindred, and benefactors; grant, we beseech Thee, that, as they were the instruments by which Thy providence bestowed on us our birth, education and innumerable other blessings, so our prayers may be the means to obtain for them a speedy release from their excessive sufferings, and admittance to Thine infinite joys.  Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.  Eternal rest give unto them, O Lord,And let the perpetual light shine upon them.  May they rest in peace.

Amen.
