This is only just the beginning, folks.  That’s what all these sodo-marriage and non-gender-binary-otherkin restroom laws are all about, making being Christian more or less illegal, subject to state persecution at any time. Now, this was a typical leftist college town in Michigan (East Lansing – home of Michuguna State), but these same “non-discrimination” laws are being passed all over.  Dallas has them.  Houston has them. Austin and San Antonio have them in spades.  So if you refuse to support pseudo-sodo-marriage, or have a problem with a grown male pervert with beard and horrid makeup sharing restroom space with your daughter, get out of town, bigot:

[F]or the past seven years, Steve Tennes and his family have sold their produce at the farmer’s market owned by the city of East Lansing.

But this year – city officials told the devout Catholic family that their blueberries and sweet corn were not welcome at the farmer’s market – and neither were they.

Last year, someone posted a message on Country Mill’s Facebook page inquiring about whether they hosted same-sex weddings at the farm. [Now why would one even ask this about a random farm, unless some digging had already been done and this was an attempt to cause trouble for the family?  I am extremely dubious this was an innocent request]

Tennes told the individual they did not permit same-sex marriages on the farm because of the family’s Catholic belief that marriage is a sacramental union between one man and one woman.

City officials later discovered the Facebook posting and began immediate action to remove Country Mill from the Farmer’s Market – alleging the family had violated the city’s discrimination ordinance. [So they didn’t respond to a complaint, they actively sought out the offense and then began prosecution]

“It was brought to our attention that The Country Mill’s general business practices do not comply with East Lansing’s Civil Rights ordinances and public policy against discrimination as set forth in Chapter 22 of the City Code and outlined in the 2017 Market Vendor Guidelines, as such, The Country Mill’s presence as a vendor his prohibited by the City’s Farmer’s Market Vendor Guidelines,” read a letter the city sent to the family.

It also did not seem to matter to city leaders that the farm is located 22 miles outside the city limits – and had absolutely nothing to do with the business of selling blueberries at the farmer’s market.

“We were surprised and we were shocked,” Steve told me. “My wife and I both volunteered to serve in the military – to protect freedom now we come home and the freedom that we worked to protect – we have to defend in our own backyard.”

I reached out to city leaders but they did not return my calls seeking comment.

“Whether you are a Jew, Muslim or Christian – people of faith should not be eradicated from the marketplace simply because they don’t share the same thoughts and ideas that the government is choosing to promote,” Steve told me.

So they have decided to fight for their constitutional rights. [And note this is very different from refusing to bake a cake for a fake wedding.  This is about searching out and persecuting heretics from the sexular pagan religion.]

Alliance Defending Freedom filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday alleging East Lansing violated the constitutional rights of the Tennes family.

“All Steve wants to do is sell his food to anyone who wants to buy it, but the city isn’t letting him,” said ADF Legal Counsel Kate Anderson. “People of faith, like the Tennes family, should be free to live and work according to their deeply held beliefs without fear of losing their livelihood. If the government can shut down a family farmer just because of the religious views he expresses on Facebook—by denying him a license to do business and serve fresh produce to all people—then no American is free.”

I warned you about this kind of attack in my new book, “The Deplorables’ Guide to Making America Great Again.”  The attacks on religious liberty did not end just because a Republican is in the White House.

There is a concerted effort by the Left to silence free speech and eradicate Christianity from the public marketplace. The only course of action is to stand and fight.

You may have no concern about “gay marriage,” but the gay marriage zealots are very interested in you.  You will be brought to heel. You will be made to give them the affirmation they crave, and can never get enough of.  Otherwise, they will make you suffer.

Check out the atheist Catholic college professor in the comments.  Constantly bashes and denigrates God.  Natural fit for a Katholyc Klown Kollege.  He also seems to be a communist.  As such, he’s probably near the median belief set for Catholic college professors since the Council.  Leftism is this guy’s true religion, and he will brook no apostasy nor any competition.

“Check out the atheist Catholic college professor in the comments.”

Sorry but you can’t be an atheist and a Catholic at the same time.

Extremists all over MI. Isn’t Dearborn an Islamist city where Christians are not welcome? The common theme seems to be anti Christian. Amazing that Trump won the state.

I’m just wondering, couldn’t they have avoided the problem in the first place by not allowing any couples to get married on their property?

Tantumblogo - June 8, 2017

Soooo………Christians don’t get to host weddings, perhaps to bring in some extra income? How is that a resolution?

Tim - June 9, 2017

Why would a Catholic choose to get married anywhere but a church? What Catholic would assist in such nonsense?

Who on Earth asks a Farmer if there are Homosexual Weddings performed on his Land . He should have told them that he Marries Sheep and Goats only . That would maybe have put the Pigeon among the Cat . I put that last bit in on purpose really these Reprobates are asking for war . I tried to post on the Malta Homosexual scandal where the Poofters have a Rainbow Flag as the Alter Cover . Just think on that for a moment. A Rainbow Flag on The Alter for a Catholic Service ( it wasn’t Mass thank God for that at least) it was in The Malta Times. My Post Was Deemed as that B.S. word Homophobic and was binned. So we can’t even protest against the Reprobates as they now seem to run all the Media. God knows what will happen overhere in The UK on Election Day. There’s That many Homosexuals out of The Closet there all empty.

Well, they’re devout Catholics, right? So if they host weddings at their farm, they’re already hosting weddings that are illicit according to the Catholic Church. But I guess they draw the line a bit further. As it is, I suppose they’ll have to decide whether they make more money selling produce in town or hosting weddings.
