USCCB Bishops – Immigration Not a Matter of Prudential Judgment       November 15, 2017

At least, maybe, when it comes to the canard of instant mass deportation.

But in reality, in their recent confab discussing the hot-button topic of immigration, what was presented an attempt to basically refute lay complaints that the US bishops – reverting to unfortunate, damaging, hurtful stands they took in the 70s and 80s – are infringing upon lay rights by insisting upon specific policy prescriptions as being the only doctrinally acceptable approach.  This echoes the dark days of the “Bernadin”-dominated US episcopate, when supposed paeans to “peace” and “justice” were in reality little more than far left talking points and anti-Reagan, anti-US defense rhetoric.

Well, personnel is policy, and Francis has been busy remaking the US episcopate in his own image and likeness.  With men like Blaise Cupich in positions of great influence, and the sidelining of more (relatively) conservative forces like Conley and  Chaput, this is hardly surprising.  Francis’ influence will likely be felt in the US episcopate for a decade or more to come, depending on how long he reigns, and how replaces him.

At any rate, here’s what the bishops, including the liturgical aesthete Cordileone, had to say about the laity and their uppity opinions regarding prudential judgment. I’ll provide a little color commentary along the way:

As the conclusion of a lengthy discussion on migration, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops decided Monday to draft a statement from their president expressing the need for humane and just immigration reform.

The Nov. 13 proposal was first floated by Archbishop Michael Sheehan, Archbishop Emeritus of Santa Fe. After debating how to go about preparing a statement, it was agreed by oral assent that Cardinal Daniel DiNardo of Galveston-Houston, president of the conference, would issue a statement with the assistance of the Committee on Migration, chaired by Bishop Joe Vasquez of Austin, assisted by Archbishop Jose Gomez of Los Angeles.

The discussion followed brief presentations from Archbishop Gomez and Bishop Vasquez. The Los Angeles archbishop outlined the principles which guide the US bishops’ work on migration, which come from Strangers No Longer, a 2003 pastoral letter issued jointly by the US and Mexican bishops’ conferences……… [That is a poor, and in many ways politically extremist, document.  It is on a par with “Always Our Children,” which tacitly or openly endorsed most of the sodomite agenda, for bad documents written by bishops in the past 20 years.  It insists upon basically a free right for Mexican and other Latin American nationals to have free access, on demand, to US jobs, welfare benefits, and services, with nothing more than lip service, and even that slight, to the extremely negative impact mass immigration of low-skill, benefits-seeking, poorly-educated has on native workers in a post-industrial economy.  This is not 1890.  We don’t have millions of manufacturing jobs suitable for a 3rd grade intellect anymore. The bishops are living in a fantasy land, constructed from their near total disconnect with the flock they lead and their needs.  The robust economy and abundant riches they refer to constantly as the driving moral imperative in favor of ceaseless mass immigration with virtually no limit or control no longer exists.  Trump was elected precisely because millions of Americans, more and more of them formerly solidly middle class, can no longer find work.  Their wages are horribly depressed by competition from illegal and other foreign workers imported into this country specifically for the purpose of driving down the cost of wages. Thus the bishops, contrary to their rhetoric, are not really so concerned about the little man – there are millions of Americans suffering gravely from the immigration pandemic – they are actually carrying water for the transnational globalist elite, who want a large and ignorant labor force that makes little more than $5 an hour. This is an environment in which everyone suffers, including the immigrants, the vast majority of which lose their faith, and generally also their moral compass, in crossing the Rio Grande. I am being harsh, the bishops may simply be naïve and myopic, but a very solid argument can be constructed that they are deliberately acting in behest of powerful interests, all the while clothing themselves in the garment of “friend of the little guy” (so long as he is not a native-born American)].

……..Bishop Oscar Cantu of Las Cruces raised the question of how to counter charges that immigration policy is a matter of prudential judgement, and that the faithful may therefore in good conscience come to a judgement which differs from that of the bishops.

Bishop Thomas Wenski of Miami responded that “we’re making our prudential judgement, too … in the light of Catholic teaching.” He emphasized that “immigrants are not problems, but brothers and sisters; strangers, but strangers who should be embraced as brothers and sisters. We’re offering what we think is best, not only for the immigrants, but for our society as a whole. We can make America great, but you don’t make America great by making America mean.”

Immigration reform, he maintained, must “include the common good of everyone: Americans and those who wish to be Americans.” [OK, that’s your opinion, but many Catholic laity believe it is not only wrong, it is destructive and harmful and in many ways achieves the opposite of its intent (i.e., worse outcomes for Americans AND illegal immigrants).  We can certainly disagree in prudence.]

Bishop Soto responded that deportations do not fall under the category of prudential judgement, but rather were included by St. John Paul II in his 1995 encyclical [sic] Evangelium vitae among the sins which cry out to heaven, and so is not merely “consistent with Church teaching,” but “to discard it as a prudential judgement doesn’t reflect our tradition.” [First of all, this is a red herring. No one is seriously advocating, or seriously expects, mass deportations to begin this year, or next, or the year after that.  I for one am single-minded – build the dang wall, worry about what to do with those here after that.  We must control the situation, the inflow, before we try to reverse it.  Once the crisis is passed, we can talk sensibly about how to deal with those here.  Secondly, there are four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance.  An encyclical is an important document but not the place for novel de fide definitions.  Thirdly, Evangelium Vitae, which focused primarily on abortion and contraception as evils against human life, mentions deportation once, in quoting Guadium Et Spes, the 3rd worst document of Vatican II, for a list of evils which are “infamies.”  Whether an “infamy” equals one of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for justice is quite unclear.  If so, Vatican II added about 30 other sins to that list, because Guadium Et Spes 27 condemned, equally, and without distinction, everything from genocide and abortion to “living conditions” and “where people are treated as mere instruments of gain rather than as free and responsible persons.”  That is to say, while GeS 27 sounds impressive, it’s theological import and meaning are muddled, at best.  Naturally, then, it would be a favorite of a progressive bishop.]

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco recommended the five principles from Strangers No Longer as a sine qua non, on which “there can be no disagreement” among Catholics. “While there’s room for prudential judgement, it’s not something that can be taken lightly” because it “involves such basic considerations of justice.” [But justice to whom?  Aquinas and Augustine would indicate that justice begins with those closest to home.  When there are periods of abundance, or when economic and cultural circumstances permit, there can be quite liberal approaches to immigration. With prolonged economic depression and cultural disassociation growing to the level of near open conflict, however, prudence would indicate, even demand, a much more conservative approach.  This has been the situation in the US for over 200 years, with periods of mass immigration leading to problems followed by periods of restricted immigration allowing for cultural and economic assimilation.]

———-End Quote————

But let’s be honest, this issue of mass immigration in the present context, is at least as much – and I mean this from the bishop’s perspective, as well – about insuring permanent ascendance for progressive/leftist politics in this country as it is about any purported concern for the huddled masses yearning to breathe free (and is in fact probably much, much more about the former than the latter).

Correspondent MFG sent me this link, and he notes – quite intelligently – that this seems an attempt by the bishops to up their rhetoric and try to squash lay arguments against the bishop’s very liberal pro-immigration stance.  The prudential judgment argument has been a powerful one, and they seem to be trying to take that away.  As MFG notes, the way to combat this attempt is by returning to first sources and principles, going back to Aquinas, Augustine, Peter Canisius, and others to demonstrate the proper Catholic understanding of the role of government, of citizens of a land’s duties to one another and to those of other countries, of Catholic moral principles (in a hierarchical sense), and all such related topics.

Doing this in a systematic fashion will show that Catholics of any stripe, lay, clergy, whatever, are fully  within their rights to advocate for much more limited immigration than the status quo of the past 50 years, and to preserve the culture and heritage of the land they love, which they see slipping away faster and faster all the time.  This latest bit of rhetorical weaponry from the bishops is frankly very ugly, very manipulative and smacks of desperation.

UPDATE: Commenter CMatt makes a great point that I failed to address (in my defense, I covered quite a bit, anyway) – these are bishops talking, yes, but not necessarily YOUR bishop, and their authority over you as a soul is basically non-existent.  It only exists to the extent that the bishops unanimously approve documents or actions of the Conference, and even in that situation it is more of a tacit authority, something novel in the history of the Church and of dubious significance for souls.  That is the huge problem with episcopal conferences, and why Pope Leo XIII found them far from his liking – they muddy the lines of authority greatly and cause tremendous confusion when their actions are contrary to the Doctrine of the Faith.  Much of Testem Benovolentae, Leo XIIIs encyclical denouncing the heresy of Americanism (which the US bishops have never faithfully implemented) has to do with these manifest problems that emerge from such conferences – bureaucratization, secularization, inordinate focus on money/funding, an excessive interest in the material works of mercy vice the spiritual works, etc.

Fusion GPS Dossier Classic Example of Leftism in Action (Lie, Project, Double-Down) October 27, 2017

A quick and dirty (I mean, his language is atrocious) but quite helpful synopsis from Paul Joseph Watson:

If you want to figure out what evils, what dirty tricks, what law-breaking the DNC and the Left generally are most involved in, most committed to, and which they feel is both one of their most powerful tools of malfeasance as well as one of the greatest dangers to their position of power, just look at what they accuse the other side of.

And it’s not just this fake (and frankly stupid, and disgusting) dossier contrived by a deep state apparatchik – it’s also things like the Harvey Weinstein scandal and the emerging masses of reports indicating that many leftist men, who constantly reproach normal men for their “toxic masculinity” and hateful, antiquated views towards women, are, in fact, serial rapists and abusers of women themselves.  Sargon apparently has a massive expose coming on this subject this weekend.

The three, invariable rules: leftists always lie, leftists always project, leftists always double down.

Now that the “Russian collusion” meme has been shown to be a massive conspiracy and illegality engaged in by the DNC, Hillary campaign, Deep State apparatchiks, and their media leftist running dog lackeys, it is suddenly to be flushed down the memory hole.

But in future, always remember, the very accusations themselves are a total giveaway of the evils the Left is wholly immersed in.

I felt this “Trump pee-party dossier” thing was a massive redirect and information op from the beginning.  And indeed, that’s finally, painfully slowly, what has been revealed.

How deep this goes is anyone’s guess.  It is already known the Obama administration, through its wholly corrupt and politicized Eric Holder/Loretta Lynch InJustice Department, is knee deep in this scandal.  How far up the chain of command involvement goes is easy to guess by how furiously the Dems are trying to prevent further investigation of not only Fusion GPS, but also the very strange scandal of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’ muslim former IT admin, who happened to abscond with several terabytes of classified data from now totally wiped computer hard drives.  The dems have been using all their power to keep that data from being subpoenaed………why?  What will it show?  Will it show, for instance, Obama’s direct involvement in the 2016 presidential election and deep corruption/collusion with the Russian government?

Why did the democrat establishment react like spurned lovers when Russia became involved in Ukraine in 2014?  We heard more bellicose war talk, even up to and including a full-on invasion/nuclear exchange, from leading democrats after Russia illegally invaded and continues to occupy large parts of the Ukraine.  Democrats normally wouldn’t give two blanks about something like that, but they totally lost their minds.  Is it because they felt like Putin had backstabbed them on a massive quid pro quo involving billions of dollars in kickbacks and massive undermining of US national security, a la the “Uranium One” deal?

These guys are in a full on blind panic.  They went all-in, well past the point of Watergate and into commission of probably hundreds of felonious offenses, to insure Hillary’s election.  Is that not just because they wanted their side to win, but because they knew if someone outside the Deep State apparatchiks was elected, it might blow the lid off their decade-plus run of unbelievable corruption, treason, and wholesale lack of care for the good of the United States and, much more importantly, the ordinary run of the mill citizen?

I don’t think we have any idea how deep this goes, or just what was sold or compromised, but the Left will inevitably tells us (some) as they try another redirect against Trump and conservatives generally.

And it’s not just Obama.  This Deep State/Leftist penetration of power and solidification began under Clinton, became entrenched under the (laughably inept and tone deaf) Bush 43 (thanks for giving your stalwart supporters a great big middle finger the other day, we sure appreciate it!  Guess we know where your loyalties lie.  Skull n Bones take care of their own, no?), and reached apotheosis under Obama.  I don’t know whether it is even possible at this point to deconstruct it.

Back to the rampant sexual abuse on the Left, up to and including massive pedophilia rings in their centers of power (just HOW many times did Clinton dump the Secret Service and fly to pedophile island?), Corey Feldman threatened to start naming names in Hollywood, and all of a sudden he gets slapped with a marijuana possession charge.  In CALIFORNIA?!?

The scandals are coming so thick and fast they are overwhelming, as, indeed, they are intended to be.  Scandals 10 times the importance and scope of Watergate pass by almost daily now, with the bought-n-paid for corporate/Deep State media telling us “nothing to see here.”  Or simply refusing to cover this at all.

But none of this should be surprising.  The fact that presidents of the United States colluded with global adversaries, repeatedly sold out the American people, and placed national security at grave risk in order to feather their nests to the tune of hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars, is exactly what one would expect from a cohort of people who have made their rejection of God and His Law, their very public despising of the Church and everything it stands for, the core part of their message and their very being.

This is what comes from an “elite” that rejects God and Our Savior Jesus Christ.  Pagan societies always devolve into endless self-aggrandizement, corruption, and wholesale ineffectiveness/incompetence.  People devoid of any sense of a law greater than themselves feel zero compunction over robbing citizens blind, colluding with deadly enemies, raping little children and forever destroying their sacred innocence, or the wholesale slaughter of very nearly 1 in 3 babies conceived in this nation over the past 44 years.  Indeed, the last point is the most telling – abortion has brought a curse down upon America, and, most particularly, on those “elites” who have done the most to keep it legal and the blood sacrifices to satan flowing.

Surely the apparatchiks, after reading the last two paragraphs, just an unhinged screed!, would conclude that I am an extremist, I am totally whacked and just totally unworthy of any credit.

But that, again, is the point.  The elites subscribe to an inveterately hostile, alien religion, which I call sexular paganism.  It is simply the latest manifestation of the false religion of leftist secular humanism which tries to put man in the place of God.  Christianity and sexular paganism are completely irreconcilable. Adherents to one cannot be adherents of the other.  One must choose between God and Mammon.

Incredibly, historically, philosophically, theologically, and historically speaking, the Church has played a huge role in the ascendance of sexular paganism among the cultural elites. By surrendering all the firm dictates and sublime, impervious moral and theological aspects of the “bad old faith” (e.g., “razing the bastions”), Church leadership not only left the Church open to further penetration by the forces of sexular paganism, but gave many wavering souls both perfect cover, and the perfect excuse, to make the final, irrevocable choice between God and Mammon.  By utterly neutering the Church’s unique power and voice, that leadership – some of which consisted of double agents of Mammon, but much of which were simply men to weak to resist – the choice of God or Mammon was made elementary, obvious for millions of lost souls, especially those with great ambitions and access to all the “delights” of power, money, and renown the world can offer.

It was a slam dunk.  So, the wind has been sown, and we are now reaping the whirlwind.  I wish I could posit a happy outcome for all this, but all I can foresee is ever increasing calamity, chaos, and confusion culminating in collapse (and that awesome alliteration alone is worth the price of the post).  Trump is great as a hopeful sign, but I fear the process has gone on much too long, and the rot is far too deep, for any man, or any series of men, to correct.  Lord, that I may be wrong, because I have a lot of love left for this country, or what it used to be, and my children and (pray God) grandchildren shall have to live here.

Now, if you want a more hopeful view, from a man deep in the fight, see the great talk given by Steve Bannon to the California GOP (yes, amazingly, it apparently still exists) below (h/t MFG):

He explains the problem, but gives many reasons to stay in the fight, and to hold out hope for a restoration of this country along constitutional lines.  I’m not overly sanguine on the likelihood of his effort being successful, but perhaps he gives some reasons to hope.

There, I’ve been out all week but now I give you a nice, long, overly wordy post.

USCCB Continues Misinformation Campaign on DACA, Trump, Immigration October 3, 2017

Our diocesan newspaper some weeks ago had an article repealing Trump’s use of an executive order to repeal Obama’s executive order instituting the so-called Dream Act, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).  DACA has been surrounded by lies and misinformation ever since Obama enacted it, probably illegally and certainly unconstitutionally back in 2012.  The USCCB has continually been in the forefront of this campaign.  I’ll excerpt a few brief bits from the article to demonstrate how this dezinformatsiya campaign works:

Lisette Moreno was just 5 years old when her parents brought her from Mexico to the United States……..[The setup Obama and the Left has used to sell DACA is that we are talking about poor teens and even younger, just little kids we’d be throwing out of the country to fend for themselves in a hellish Mexico.  Because that’s how the Left views third world countries.  If not quite kids, they’re at least very young, maybe college students, etc. How could we be so mean?]

………Moreno is an active parishioner at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, and soon she and upwards of 800,000 people who were brought to the United States by their parents without documents could face loss of work documents and immediate deportation from a land that they know to one that is culturally in their blood, but foreign nonetheless. [Have there been any mass deportations, yet?  Any concrete plans developing to do so?  Or is this really more about overturning what was a politically unpopular and unconstitutional move – by executive action only, Congress was not involved, no law was every passed – in the first place?]

…….”When we were brought here as children, we went to school and our teachers taught us to dream big; our teachers taught us to progress, to be better, to set a goal and accomplish it,” said Moreno, who is now 34[They buried that little revelation at the end of the 6th paragraph in, well past the point when most people would have stopped reading.  So this is no kid. This is a grown woman, becoming close to middle-aged. Also, if she came here when she was 5, that means she came here 29 years ago, or 1988.  Which is, quite interestingly, just two years after the first shamnesty passed by Reagan, which was promised to be a “totes swearsie!” one time deal that would never recur, after which 2.5 million illegal immigrants were granted instant citizenship, the border would be closed firmly and we’d never have an illegal immigration crisis again. The lead up to the first amnesty was very well known.  But her parents came later, anyway. Did her parents give a thought to what might happen if they were deported, even split up, as was certainly very possible?  Does this Moreno show more allegiance to the United States than to Mexico? Does she still send remittances back?]

[Follows a parade of sad, meaningless, self-serving quotes from both our Bishop Burns and other figures in the Church]………Denouncements, criticisms, and outrage have come from many sectors across society: universities, Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, faith communities, and non-profit organizations. [All of which means absolutely nothing, since Trump was elected precisely to get a handle on the totally chaotic situation regarding illegal immigration and the southern border. A substantial majority of Americans oppose the “Dream Act” and the current immigration policy and desire a wall be built to drastically limit immigration (and drugs, and sex trafficking of minors, and a thousand other evils). I also note that every single one of the organizations listed either stands to benefit directly from continued unconstrained mass immigration through use of cheap labor/wage depression of native citizens, or through ideological alignment (adherence to leftism).]

……….Father Cruz Calderon, pastor of Santa Clara Catholic Church in Oak Cliff, called for prayers to unite, not divide. [See, when it’s what he wants, it’s unity.  If not, it’s division. Get it?]

“In my opinion, it no longer is about protecting and leading a country, but about authoritarianism,” he said. “This appears to be a partisan fight to revoke laws made by a previous administration to systematically say that those laws were wrong.” [First of all, it’s not a law.  A law is passed by Congress.  It was an executive order, and probably unconstitutional. And yes, guess what, the people rejected the unpopular actions of that previous Obama administration, and wanted them overturned.  So, we elected a new president who promised to do just that.  Your disliking the result is utterly immaterial, as is your attempt to calumniate without justification the duly elected President.Just so we’re clear, yes, very many Americans feel, with eminent justification, that pretty much everything the former occupant of the White House did was wrong.]

…….Moreno, one of the founders of the Peace and Justice Commission at the cathedral………[And we get that little revelation 20 paragraphs in.  So, she’s not exactly an unbiased observer, either.  She’s a dedicated activist.]

Sadly, and frustratingly, Trump has indicated he’d be happy to reinstitute DACA so long as it is done legally and constitutionally, e.g., through Congress. I really hope that doesn’t come to pass, especially so long as brick one has not been laid on the much-promised wall.

We can expect much more lobbying from the institutional Catholic press in favor of just that.  And, I am equally certain, even more disinformation and constant appeals to emotion.  The key point is to get people feeling and not thinking.  That’s exactly what articles like the above are designed to elicit, and are part and parcel of any well-orchestrated leftist campaign.

But, I hear our new Bishop Burns, in spite of his quotes in the article I declined to excerpt, is much more friendly to the Latin Mass than was his predecessor, who made it absolutely clear that there would never be a TLM outside of Mater Dei so long as he was around.  I even understand that a priest or two has been “given permission” – though by canon law none is required – to offer Mass Ad Orientem again, which now Cardinal Farrell had firmly squashed.

There might even be a possibility for TLMs outside Mater Dei, and in the northern part of the Diocese where there still exists much latent unsatisfied demand.  But let me counsel you folks, on the outside chance this occurs and there is a TLM in the north deanery, ATTEND IT.  Don’t let it die for lack of support.  There were many reasons the Novus Ordo Latin in Plano at St. Mark died, it was intended to be unsuccessful from the start, but, not showing up gave Farrell and his allies all the reason they needed to cancel it and to never permit such an “experiment” again.  Don’t let that happen, especially with a TLM.

Hundreds of Thousands of Polish Catholics to Pray Rosary Along Polish Border October 2, 2017

Wow. I wish my country was as Catholic as Poland:

Poland’s bishops have urged Catholics to join a mass rosary prayer along the country’s border to mark the end of the Fatima centenary, and pray for the salvation of their country.

Organisers expect up to a million people to join the “Rosary on the Borders” event on October 7, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary and the anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto – where “the Christian fleet” saved Europe from “Islamisation”. [Why the scare quotes, Catholic Herald?  It was not a Christian fleet, but an entirely Catholic one.  The protestants were allied with the rampaging, marauding Turk. And yes, it is widely believed by most historians that had the Catholic fleet under Don Juan of Austria been destroyed, much of Christendom would have been lost.  It was only a few  years before that the Turk made his first siege of Vienna, and he was still occupying vast tracts of Christian lands.  But the protestants were allied with the mohammadans, and so declined to participate in the defense of the Christendom they had sundered, and left.]

“We believe that if the rosary is prayed by about a million Poles along the borders of the country, it may not only change the course of events, but open hearts of our compatriots to the grace of God,” the organisers say on their website.

The Polish bishops’ conference has endorsed the event, and asked all Catholics to join the rosary prayer even if they are physically unable to make it to the border. [Even with Francis all but canonizing every muslim economic migrant/invader into Europe?  OK I exaggerate, but he heaps praise on them and speaks in their defense constantly.  Good for the bishops of Poland, though they may have distanced themselves from the political nature of the event (I really don’t know)]

“Families may pray in their homes, sick in hospitals, and parish communities in their churches,” they said.

“A hundred years ago, Mary gave these three Portuguese children a message of salvation: repent, give reparation for sins against my Immaculate Heart and pray the rosary,” the bishops added. Rosary on the Borders is a “special opportunity” to fulfill that calling.

How beautiful.

Poland is having a major fight with the EU-trying-to-be-totalitarian-superstate over acceptance of muslim invaders/”immigrants” (a term far more worthy of scare quotes).  The EU is demanding all member states take their quota of muslims. Poland, Hungary, and Czech Republic have refused to accept any significant number of these immigrants.  Poland in particular has apparently refused to accept any.  If you look at a map of terror attacks in Europe,, you see that Poland has, by some astonishing freak of nature, had none!

So perhaps a rump Christian Europe will remain, centered not in the west but in the east?

If the “Alt-Right” Wants to “Save the White Race,” Maybe They Should Start Having a Few Babies September 7, 2017

Lots of unsaid assumptions built into that post title – by “alt-right,” I’m referring to the media definition of the alt-right as the pseudo/neo-nazi or openly racialist portion of the far right, which isn’t even right wing, in that many are former Obama voters and Bernie supporters, most are avowed statists, and even worse, collectivists.  They simply have a nationalistic/racialist component to their statist views (as all good Nazis do), and are happy to use the state to purge society of racially/ethnically undesirable elements.  They are also the inevitable reaction to the Left’s use of race and ethnicity relentlessly as tools to gain and hold onto political and economic power.

That’s not to say concerns over immigration and the effect it is having on the political, economic, and cultural future of this nation can simply be dismissed as “racism,” as the statist media constantly tries to do.  There are many points the alt-right brings up which are entirely valid.  But racialism is always destructive, and it is very sad to see many leaders in the Church engaging in it (just practicing their preferred religion when they do).  It also undermines the overall (and entirely just and reasonable) opposition to current US immigration policy, attempts to build a wall or otherwise enforce more sensible immigration laws, in giving the media, on a silver platter, exactly the kind of racialist/white nationalist image they then turn around and tar the entire effort with.  It’s not helpful, and I increasingly wonder whether much of this former leftist “alt-right” isn’t false flag/astroturf.  I mean, who could possibly think a torchlight rally replete with racialist chants would be a good idea?

Nevertheless, Sargon has a pretty good video (language warning, however) pilloring the “alt-right” for lambasting others for not being sufficiently anti-semetic or in favor of white nationalism, while noting that the widespread sterility among white nationalist leaders and rank and file makes their claims to be so very concerned about the fate of the white race just more LARPing from the millennial crowd.  If you’re so worried about the great white ‘Murican race being swamped in a sea of brown, why don’t you settle down, get married, and have a bunch of kids?  And become Catholic, while you’re at it, very possibly saving your immortal soul:

As for me, I just want everyone to become Catholic.  Really, truly Catholic, not pseudo-, post-conciliar Catholic.  I have grave concerns over illegal immigration and extremely high immigration rates in general not out of any racial sensitivity but due to the effect it has on the poorest in our society, leaving them jobless or badly underpaid as they compete against a huge cohort existing in an underground economic status where they can be paid trifling wages that are unjust. There are also many cultural and social factors to consider in continuing mass immigration, especially considering the explosion in muslim immigration into this nation over the past 15 years or so.  I also have concerns over Hispanic Catholics coming to the US, falling into the materalist lifestyle and philosophy here, spiritually starving to death in the Novus Ordo Church, and falling away from the Faith in vast numbers.  I estimate probably 60% of the Hispanics in Irving are either fallen away Catholics or completely converted to protestant sects.

There are also extremely significant national security issues dealing with the unprotected southern border.  Build a wall – the single most cost-effective and efficient mechanism to gain control over the current chaos along the southern border – and then we can talk about sensible immigration policy going forward. But first, the crisis must be dealt with.  Unfortunately, it increasingly seems Trump will not be able to keep his primary campaign promise to build a wall.  If funding is not included in this year’s budget, I’m certain it never will be, at least with Trump as a Republican.  I tell you, I am so done with the Republican party at this point.  I am completely, totally disgusted with them.  They have done everything possible to undermine and oppose Trump at every turn.  After numerous wave elections, the revolt in 1994, the Tea Party movement, with unprecedented control of all three branches of government, all they have brought is failure and capitulation.  The Republican party is 3/4 dominated by secretly or openly leftist, and always corporatist, gadflies. I’m just about sick of the whole mess at this point.  What we have in the US at present are two left-wing parties, one far left and the other center-left.  I increasingly believe the only way forward is to break up at least one of the parties and rebuild the two party system with one or two wholly new parties with very different alignments and bases of support.  Clean out as much of the current self-serving, lobbyist-chasing, money-grubbing crowd as possible.

And on a final, but unrelated note, regarding yesterday’s post on evolution being the seed-bed for the collapse of Christianity, consider the following from another Youtube channel.  How much of what we believe is literally programmed into us through the incredibly powerful indoctrination tool most all (still, sadly) have as the centerpiece of the layout of their living rooms (and often bedrooms, and kitchen, and…….), the TV?  How much of a role has TV played in programming people to accept not just evolution, but things like pseudo-sodo-marriage, abortion, euthanasia, sexual license, et. al.,?  As Father Phil Wolfe says, the best thing you can do with your TV is take a shotgun to it:

Some really good news out of the Trump Administration.  Not only has Trump switched focus on refugee admissions from Middle Eastern countries disastrous US policies have left ravaged from muslims (radically preferred under Obama) to Christians, the rate of change is growing rapidly – while Christian refugees were a slight minority in March (from being a huge minority a year ago), they are now the solid and growing majority:

The first six months-plus of the Trump administration have brought a discernible shift in the religious affiliation breakdown of refugees admitted into the United States, with a larger proportion of Christians to Muslims among those resettled.

Most of those who have arrived since President Trump’s inauguration would have begun the application process long before – it can take 18-24 months – but the change is nonetheless striking: More than half of those admitted under Trump (51.2 percent) are Christians, compared to 43.3 percent of those who arrived during the same period one year earlier under President Obama. [While the process may take a long time, policy swings can quickly result in huge shifts in terms of who gets admitted.  The Obama admin had long favored muslim “refugees” (re: economic migrants?) to a marked degree. Note I have seen much different data from what CNS is reporting at the link.  In the past I had seen data that declared the vast majority of Syrian refugees admitted to the US were muslim, with Christians virtually unable to get admittance. The data at CNS is worldwide, which I think makes up much of the difference]

Some graphs that put things in perspective quickly:

This is entirely right and just, not only are these Christians far more suited to assimilation in this country, they have also been the victims of a concerted genocide (or attempted one) by jihadi muslims, who seek to wholly depopulate Christians from their ancient ancestral home (where they predated muslims by 5-6 centuries, depending on the locale).  Plus, we as a nation put these sorely afflicted nations, or most of them – Iraq, Syria, Egypt, etc – on their path of endless internecine conflict and religious persecution.  We owe these people a very great deal.  The aggressors in this campaign of cultural and religious extinction should be looked at with a much more callous eye, at least so far as their admittance to this nation as so called refugees is concerned (bear in mind the European example, 80-90% or more of those refugees are just economic blood suckers looking for generous welfare benefits).

So good on Trump. While his legislative agenda is being killed by the Grand Ol’ Party of 2/3 leftist hacks pretending to be conservatives, at least on the executive side he is doing a great deal of good.  Now hopefully he’ll be able to make another Supreme Court appointment or two, and provided they are good, I’d be quite satisfied with him as a president.  At the very least, he’s not Hillary Clinton.

A word about this Russia act being put on by the Left, which again includes essentially every elected democrat and probably half to 2/3 or more of Repubniks at the federal level – of course it’s utter crap, but it’s also a display of brilliance on two fronts.  First of all its a brilliant display of the Leftist tendency to always project their own evils onto others – there is far, far more evidence of collusion between democrats and the Russian government (re: the Clintons) on an illegal basis (such as those revelations last week, of course swept under the rug by the media, of this Fusion GPS outlet being both the primary source of all this Russia material in the press and being a front for Russian gov’t intelligence work) than the tiny hints of impropriety pointed at Trump, that the media steadfastly works into a constant frenzy.  But at the same time, it is a brilliant tactical move, because when the evidence eventually comes out, and it will, that it is the democrats who were colluding with the Russians far more than Trump or any Republicans, and it is the democrats who routinely rely on vote manipulation/fraud to win elections, the dems can simply shout that the revelations are all political, that it’s all cover for Trump, that it doesn’t matter, etc., etc, knowing the leftist media will carry water for them 24/7.

In the Gospel for the 8th Sunday after Pentecost our Blessed Lord tells us that the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light.  We’re seeing this displayed on a daily basis.

Oh, and Mueller is a corrupt statist hack who is BFFs with disgraced Clinton protector and former FBI head James Comey.  Mueller has now convened a grand jury to continually harass Trump as part of the statist campaign to kneecap his administration before it even starts.  We are learning a very great deal about both the real beliefs of many players in DC (including the self-anointed “conservative” commentariat and political class) and the way the game is rigged, and it is absolutely shocking how correct “conspiracy theorists” like Alex Jones and others have been all along.  I do not see how this is going to have a happy ending.  Things are not settling down, they are building to a crescendo.  I cannot prognosticate what that will look like, but I don’t think it’s going to be Ozzie and Harriet.

What do we do with a Republican party so corrupt and so unwilling to even pretend to govern according to the will of the people?  We are always told third parties don’t work but the Republicans and Democrats have not always and forever been the two choices. There have been third parties that have held vast influence up to and including the presidency (the Whigs, for one).  But what has to form, and very quickly and adroitly, is a mass movement away from the existing party structure and into a new one.  I don’t know if this is possible, and there is always the risk that a split in the right will lead to Lefitst “ascendance” through power gained after winning a plurality, a la Spain in 1931 and Chile in 1970.

It’s beyond me what to do.  I haven’t had the time to think about it.  Perhaps you have some good suggestions.  As confirmation of my claim that the Republican party, at least at the federal level, is still dominated by statists/secret leftists/friends of Leviathan, you can be sure that this Congress will fail miserably in funding legislation to build a southern border wall, which was the primary reason people elected Trump.  You can tell just how effective walls are by the opposition that exists among the powers that be to allow one to be built.

Millions of Illegal Immigrant Votes Probably Cast in the 2008, 2012 Presidential Elections June 22, 2017

Horrifying, but I’m quite certain this is the case.  Another post on a quite different topic in an unrelated publication noted the massive shift the democrat party underwent on immigration between the mid-2000s and today.  10-12 years ago, major factions in the demonrat party were in favor of limitations on immigration and controlling the southern border – by fence or whatever means.  But since then, the party has embraced the same hard, absolutist position on totally unconstrained illegal immigration as the Catholic episcopate – a few exceptions aside – has.  They have done so for wholly political reasons, as dems have known for 20 years that demographics among the native-born population (and especially the white population) were entirely against them.  Politics correlates very strongly within families, and core members of the dem constituency were not having babies, while conservatives were.  By 2040 without massive changes to the American electorate through immigration, the Dems would be a permanent minority party at the national level.

So, much as Euro elites have done, when the electorate did not correspond to their ambition, leftist elites decided to find a new electorate rather than reconsider their failed religious beliefs.  It seems this effort has been a big success, as a recent report has assessed that as many as 6 million illegal aliens voted in the 2008 presidential election  – a huge factor, but not quite enough to, by themselves, account for Obama’s victory – and another 4 or 5 million voted in the 2012 election (enough that Romney may well have won that election. We must also consider the other electoral fraud demonrats regularly engage in, from ballot-stuffing to repeat voting to blocking conservatives from voting.  It is little wonder that demonrats stridently oppose both constraints on illegal immigration and voter ID laws – they cannot win outside their narrow coastal enclaves (plus Chicago) without massive electoral fraud:

A report from the conservative/libertarian think tank Just Facts shows that up to 5.7 million people who cast their ballots in the 2008 presidential election were non-citizens. The group used data from a Harvard study as well as U.S. Census Bureau data to arrive at that conclusion.

Just Facts also estimated that up to 3.6 million non-citizens cast their vote in 2012.

Just Facts’ conclusions confront both sides in the illegal voting debate: those who say it happens a lot and those who say the problem nonexistent.

In one camp, there are groundbreaking studies by professors at Old Dominion University in Virginia who attempted to compile scientifically derived illegal voting numbers using the Harvard data, called the Cooperative Congressional Election Study.

On the other side are the professors who conducted the study and contended that “zero” noncitizens of about 18 million adults in the U.S. voted. The liberal mainstream media adopted this position and proclaimed the Old Dominion work was “debunked.” [Given 18 million – it’s probably far higher than that – illegals in this country, there is ZERO chance that zero of them have fraudulently voted.  Democrats are so focused on – and cover up with such fervor – their get out the vote efforts in Hispanic neighborhoods, and demonrats so freely admit their fraud in other areas, there is no way illegals are not voting.  I’m quite certain millions are, and illegals underlie demonrat hopes to turn Texas “blue” or at least purple. We must get that wall built, NOW]

The ODU professors, who stand by their work in the face of attacks from the left, concluded that in 2008 as few as 38,000 and as many as 2.8 million noncitizens voted.

Mr. Agresti’s analysis of the same polling data settled on much higher numbers. He estimated that as many as 7.9 million noncitizens were illegally registered that year and 594,000 to 5.7 million voted.

It is little wonder that democrats and the political-cultural elite they control are so hell-bent on keeping the mass influx of immigrants continuing unabated.  Their entire electoral program hinges on it, at least so long as they remain wedded to elitist, leftist political/religious dogmas. I see little chance of their core beliefs changing.  So I pray President Trump and the few good Republicans in Congress start focusing ALL their efforts on building the wall and getting a handle on this mass influx. The very survival of this nation as it has always been construed depends on it, if that survival can even be attained at this point.

There is, however, a certain irony from the Catholic point of view in seeing the historical protestant core/elite of this country swamped in a flood of Catholics.  Of course, the Church is so weak and rotten at present that most of those fall away a few years after arriving here.  I had some sad experience of that lately.  Actually, sad, but then happy.  A young Hispanic man at our local TLM parish described to me how his parents had come here in the early 80s, gotten amnestied in ’86, and then become protestant and started a family. This young man was thus raised protestant, but their protestant sect house in Grand Prairie started going liberal – as they almost all tend to do over time, since they are man-made institutions (not that our God-made institution is without its human flaws) – and he started learning about Catholicism.  Long story short, he converted, and he managed to get most of his family to revert, but they were shortly disgusted by the liberalism, false doctrine, horrid liturgy and other grave problems they found in Novus Ordo world.  And so that is how this young man found himself at the Fraternity parish in Irving.  Wonder of wonders, his elderly grandmother who pined for an authentic Mass for decades after emigrating to the US finally got to experience it just a few days ago.  When they started going back to the Catholic Church in the US, grandmother wondered at the plethora of Eucharistic ministers, the casual and immodest dress, and the poor quality of the liturgy.  She was mightily pleased by her experience at Mater Dei, apparently.

God can draw straight with very crooked human lines.  A family fell away by immigrating to the US, but managed to return, and quite possibly find a much more robust practice of the Faith, by coming to this country.  The TLM is rarely available in Mexico, at least outside Mexico City and Guadalajara and a handful of other places.  Our God is great.

Muslims, Incensed by Truth Regarding the False Prophet Mohammad, Cry Bigotry June 6, 2017

This is the billboard that is the source of muslim ire around the nation:

Every single statement made on that billboard regarding the false prophet and conceiver of the demonic sect of islam is true.  It is that man’s evil vision, literally an inversion of Christianity, that continues to cause mass chaos around the world on a daily basis, with over 100 non-muslims being killed by muslims for religious reasons DAILY worldwide.

And yes I have in previous posts laid out numerous reasons why Mohammad was a completely false prophet (for one, not a single miracle worked to substantiate his claims of divine inspiration, then there are the satanic verses (of the early Koran, later expunged), where Mohammad fell under satan’s influence/domination, then there are the murderous exhortations throughout the Koran, then……….) and inventer of a demonic, deliberately anti-Christian sect.

But muslims gonna muzzle, so they are shouting bigotry at these stark revelations concerning the founder of the most backward, repressive, totalitarian, murderous major religion on the planet:

A billboard on the east side of Indianapolis is catching the eyes of drivers, along with the ire of local Muslim groups.

You can spot the sign from the southbound lanes of I-465 near the Washington Street exit. It claims to list the “perfect man,” but opponents say it degrades the Muslim prophet Mohammad.

“I was a little disappointed when I saw that,” said Farial Khatri of the Islamic Society of North America.

Opponents say the billboard’s bullet points are meant to disparage the Muslim faith and its primary prophet, Mohammad.

“We’ve seen them in New York and several others cities on billboards as well as other transit ads,” said Kahtri.

There’s no company name or identifying group on the display, but Google “Truthophobes,” a word seen at the bottom of the billboard, and you’ll find a range of websites rife with anti-Muslim messages.

“We do support free speech, but we do realize this is also rooted in bigotry,” said Kahtri.

Other groups say they want to do more than just speak out against the display. The Muslim Alliance of Indiana says it’s planning to raise money to put up its own billboard nearby to spread a message of peace and kindness.

Note, they don’t refute a thing said on the billboard.  They cannot refute the message, so they shoot the messenger.

Regarding this counter-campaign, these typically operate on a similar basis of half-truths and selective revelation.  Signs like the below have appeared in certain parts of Dallas:

These signs are placed in locations that obviously seek to capitalize on any frustrations and indignations held by certain minority communities.  But notice they don’t speak of islam’s treatment of women as little more than chattel.  Nor the rampant abuse of children in countries ruled by sharia.  They’ve learned selective messaging very well from their leftist allies/abettors.

If you’d like to take a stand against creeping sharia in the US, right here in the DFW area, there is going to be a protest against sharia this Saturday June 10 2017 at  10a and runs to 2p.  Location is corner of Abrams and Centennial in Richardson.  More details here.  The protest location is directly across the street from a major mosque.  I think most people park at the “Christian World Church” at the same corner.  It is catty-cornered from the mosque.

About this protest.  Previous editions have involved armed Americans.  The most recent one featured some scuffling against antifa.  That one was weird, the muslims turned against the antifa guys.  But at any rate be prepared for something less sedate than your average prayer vigil outside a Planned Barrenhood or March for Life.  These things can get intense, with lots of in your face shouting and pushing.

I sorely wish I could go.  I’ve been wanting to attend one of these for a while now.  They originated in Irving then spread to Richardson. I’ve also wanted to have a go at antifa. But I have a funeral to attend at noon the same day.

Regarding the muslims, I would be polite but firm that they belong to a horrifically erroneous sect.  Explain their dire need for conversion.  I would not be violent, rhetorically or otherwise.  As to antifa, be as violent as you like.  At the last protest they hired Black Panthers to be their “muscle,” since they so pathetically lack their own organic enforcers.  I would strongly recommend body armor and headgear if you have any.  Also a respirator that filters most inorganic gasses (like CS) and something to protect your eyes.  Antifa love to use the bear spray.

But if  you’re local and planning on going, you’re welcome to the Kek flag if you want to borrow it.  I do hope there is a good turnout, as Benjamin Franklin said, we have a republic, if we can keep it:

h/t reader skeinster

Speaking of Kek, some more greatness to get you fired up for the protest:

Swedish Report Confirms 3/4 of so-called Islamic Child Migrants Are Adults – Also Overwhelmingly Male May 31, 2017

As Sargon notes, who knew there were so many racists in Sweden?  After all, we’ve been told that to do even a basic sociological study on the mass muslim invasion of Europe by military-age men constitutes racism, so apparently decades of socialist enervation and white liberal self-loathing have not quite driven the racism from the damnable Swedes (I can say that, being part Norwegian). Uff da.

Seriously, this only confirms what anyone with a brain, that is, anyone not consumed by cultural marxist dogma, has long known: the “child refugee crisis” in Europe is nothing of the sort.  They aren’t children, they aren’t refugees, and the crisis has been created by the political/economic elites in Europe (and, with a different immigrant population, in the US).  This is an invasion of military-age males from the muslim ummah into Europe primarily seeking economic and social benefits:

If the “18 females and 563 males” are representative of the overall muslim invasion population – and since this was a formal sociological studies we have no reason to think they are not – 97% of the so-called “child migrants” are actually adult muslim males, almost universally of military age.

Also note that when the muslims find things in Europe not to their liking, such as finding Finland too cold and the food too bland, they LEAVE!  These are not thus people desperately fleeing a war zone, they are economic migrants looking to take some long, slow pulls on the Euro-welfare teat.

The video also notes that at least 2/3 of so-called “child migrants” in Britain are also adults.  And also overwhelmingly male.

More on the whole Euro-migrant scam.  These migrants transit just a few miles off the coast of Libya where they have – it appears – pre-arranged pick-up points with leftist NGO ships or leftist-Euro-government navy ships.

The entire thing is a scam from beginning to end is entirely about turning Syracuse or Salerno into Beirut or Benghazi (I kid you not):

Just as leftists in the US are determined to remake the US body politic into something far more leftist-friendly through mass immigration, they are doing the same in Europe.  Will Europeans continue to allow this to happen? Will Americans?

Man I get so sick of the lies and false propaganda spewed forth by these self-anointed elites constantly.  It really has to do with classism, and apparently wealthy white graduate-degree-toting leftists hate the middle class so much they’re determined to make their lives hell throughout the West.

Dallas Diocese Opposes Texas “Anti-Sanctuary” Law……. May 15, 2017

……..apparently endorsing lawlessness and law-breaking on the part of municipalities and others. Or, probably more accurately, but even more pernicious, a double standard when it comes to the law: the leftist coalition that provides (bribes) the Church to the tune of about $100 million per year for ostensible services for immigrants, legal and otherwise gets special rights and privileges, while others get the full force of the law.

At any rate, I was very sad to see one local priest I have always thought highly of strongly endorsing this diocesan effort to oppose a very fair and common-sense law.  I should also add that the Diocese of Dallas has stepped up its efforts in support of illegal immigration of late, lending support for a recent mass march in downtown Dallas in favor of immigrants rights (that only drew 3000 people, far, far less than the 100,000 predicted by its organizers):

Their message was direct: Break silence, speak out.

Their target: The impact of a new law that expands local law enforcement power over immigration matters and is billed as “anti-sanctuary.”

Senate Bill 4 was signed into law on Sunday by Gov. Greg Abbott and goes into effect Sept. 1.

“This law does not make Texas more safe,” said the Rev. Rudy Garcia, the Catholic rector at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe. “In fact, it makes all of us less safe as it discourages people from reporting crime and wrongdoing to local authorities, who now have to act like ICE agents.” [No, it is intended to avoid things like the recent case in Boston, where a legal immigrant green card holder was deliberately given a 364 day sentence by liberal prosecutors there, because green card holders who serve more than 1 year in prison can be deported.  That is, can be, not automatically or always are.  This was the prison term given for TWO armed robberies.  The same man turned around and murdered two people not long after getting out of jail.  They were unavailable for comment on the Diocese’s reflexive immigration endorsement.]

Garcia quoted from another pastor at a news conference Thursday at the Latino Center for Leadership Development in downtown Dallas, attended by more than a dozen clergy members, lawyers and social activists justice warriors.

It was the now-deceased Martin Niemoller who was an outspoken foe of Adolf Hitler. The lines attributed to him begin: “First, they went after the socialists and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist.” [Got that, Trumpistas? You’re all fascists, just like Adolf Hitler.]

………In a tearful exchange at the news conference, Dinorah Sierra introduced herself as an immigrant mother who was “indocumentada,” without legal immigration status. [She is here illegally.  She has broken federal laws, laws that are far more strict and far more rigorously enforced in Mexico and most lands from which the vast majority of illegals hail.  She is demanding, in reality, special rights and privileges for herself at the expense of those native born.]   She said she didn’t want to leave her home to attend the event. “But it gives me strength to see so many organizations united fighting for our rights,” Sierra said.

“Many of the buildings downtown have been made by Hispanic hands,” she said with her voice trembling.  ”The vegetables have been picked from the dirt by Hispanic hands, even though they don’t want us.” [Note the clever switch, from the issue of immigration to the issue of race.  The not-so-subtle implication is that if you oppose measures to curb illegal immigration and deport those here, you only do so from a standpoint of racism.  This entire press conference appears to have been conducted deplorably, relying on character assassination and reflexive appeals to emotion rather than logic or even rational analysis on the level of virtue.  I imagine that is because there is so little rational argument on the pro-illegal immigration side.]

About that, continued mass immigration, especially illegal but also legal, can often be, and in the case of the US I think manifestly is, unjust to the poorest of US citizens because this mass immigration artificially depresses wages, especially among the poorest and least skilled.  The Church is in this case helping keep wages depressed and tens of millions of US citizens out of work.

Throughout Catholic moral theology, it is an established precept that one’s duty in virtue applies first to those closest, and then radiating in a sort of concentric circles to expanding groups of people from the neighborhood, perhaps then to the parish, then to the city, the state, the region, the country, etc.

Thus Catholics have a higher moral duty to their fellow citizens than they do to those of other nations.

But for what to many appear to be selfish reasons, the Church has chosen to subordinate the rights of those who have a higher moral claim to those who have a much lower one.  So much lower, in fact, that on the matters involved – citizenship, access to social services, access to jobs, etc – it is quite arguable that citizens of those other countries have almost no claim at all, at least not when those claims put them in direct competition with natives of this country.

And I have left out entirely two enormously important factors that almost never get mentioned: the destruction of the family that frequently occurs with illegal immigration, with spouses and children often abandoned in the native land and bigamous marriages conducted here (and entirely as a matter of choice), and the fact that from the Church’s perspective, nearly half of this flood of Hispanic immigrants will leave the Church for the sects within 20 years, and an even larger proportion of their children will do the same, whereas the percentage of Catholics in Mexico (from which a huge majority proportion of the illegal immigrants come) has been relatively stable over the past 20 years, which means support for illegal immigration is support for a clear and present danger to the Faith, and, hence, the eternal destination of millions of souls.

Of course, the super with-it “church of accompaniment” established in 1965 cares little for such minutiae.  As I was told over and over again in San Antonio last week, All Dogs Go to Heaven, and concepts like hell and purgatory are just hoary old obsolete ideas that have no place in the new church, with a new pentecost, established in the sainted Sixties.
