This is a must-listen to contribution from Father Rodriguez.  Thanks to JMJHF Productions for uploading this to Youtube, and so quickly.

I am pressed for time, so the description comes from Youtube:

This is a talk given by Fr. Michael Rodríguez on October 6, 2017, in observance of the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (Oct. 7th) and the 100th Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun (Oct. 13th). The talk covers three main themes: A Terrible Crisis in the Papacy, the Letter of Filial Correction, and the 100th Anniversary of the Fatima Apparitions.

Fr. Rodríguez makes an urgent plea to all of the world’s Catholics, especially those who are not familiar with the Traditional Latin Mass, but do have a sincere desire to be good and faithful Catholics. Fr. Rodríguez explains three great signs which God is giving us, thereby calling us to convert back to Him and to the true Catholic religion of 2000 years. These three signs from Heaven are: (1) the frightening crisis in the Papacy, (2) the historic “Letter of Filial Correction” and (3) the 100th Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun.

[Tantumblogo adds a bit more – Father also, and very critically, establishes the bases upon which Catholic Truth is established (Tradition and Scripture), and their unalterable nature.  This is absolutely key, for it reveals the core element of the crisis afflicting the papacy.  I think it is also quite important to meditate on the quite likely supernatural correlation of events and dates – Francis, elected in 2013, the Fatima Apparitions, occurring on the 13th of each month, 2017 being the 100th anniversary of those anniversaries, dubia against Amoris Laetitia coming in 2017, along with a Filial Correction and, quite possibly, a fraternal correction from Cardinals.  There is likely much more to come.  Our Lord does not always work by exact dates, but 100th anniversaries of Marian apparitions have figured large in prior history, such as the failure of Louis XIV to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart in 1689, with the French Revolution breaking out exactly a century later. We must adhere to this Faith of the ages and reject the modernized, protestantized “new Catholicism” of the past 50 years.]

Fr. Rodríguez is one of the signatories of the Letter of Filial Correction of Pope Francis. Fr. Rodríguez explains both the Letter of Filial Correction, and how faithful Catholics must respond to the present, nearly unprecedented, crisis in the Papacy. He concludes with a brief teaching on the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. This is a must see video for all Catholics who desire to be faithful to God and the Church in the midst of a terrible crisis in the papacy.

SIGN THE PETITION: Here is a petition which all can sign in support of the filial correction, linked here: https://www.change.org/p/petition-sup…

The 3 websites mentioned by Fr. Rodriguez:
correctiofilialis.org
fatima.org

[I can’t do justice to a condensation in the time I have, this video is close to an hour long but is extremely important – if you watch/listen to one video this week, let it be this one! God bless you and may this post and Father Rodriguez’ efforts all be Ad Maiorum Dei Gloriam. Please keep Father, Francis, and the entire hierarchy always in your prayers, and implore God to have mercy on our Holy Mother Church!]

I should have also added, that Father Rodriguez makes note that one of the specific matters of error emanating from this papacy is a statement from the increasingly notorious Cardinal Farrell that the awarding of manifest grave sinners with a prize for their sin (see, guys, we can turn this argument you love to use on its head) in the Eucharist for divorced and civilly remarried Catholics constitutes: “a process of discernment and conscience.” Uh huh.

Hundreds of Thousands of Polish Catholics to Pray Rosary Along Polish Border October 2, 2017

Wow. I wish my country was as Catholic as Poland:

Poland’s bishops have urged Catholics to join a mass rosary prayer along the country’s border to mark the end of the Fatima centenary, and pray for the salvation of their country.

Organisers expect up to a million people to join the “Rosary on the Borders” event on October 7, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary and the anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto – where “the Christian fleet” saved Europe from “Islamisation”. [Why the scare quotes, Catholic Herald?  It was not a Christian fleet, but an entirely Catholic one.  The protestants were allied with the rampaging, marauding Turk. And yes, it is widely believed by most historians that had the Catholic fleet under Don Juan of Austria been destroyed, much of Christendom would have been lost.  It was only a few  years before that the Turk made his first siege of Vienna, and he was still occupying vast tracts of Christian lands.  But the protestants were allied with the mohammadans, and so declined to participate in the defense of the Christendom they had sundered, and left.]

“We believe that if the rosary is prayed by about a million Poles along the borders of the country, it may not only change the course of events, but open hearts of our compatriots to the grace of God,” the organisers say on their website.

The Polish bishops’ conference has endorsed the event, and asked all Catholics to join the rosary prayer even if they are physically unable to make it to the border. [Even with Francis all but canonizing every muslim economic migrant/invader into Europe?  OK I exaggerate, but he heaps praise on them and speaks in their defense constantly.  Good for the bishops of Poland, though they may have distanced themselves from the political nature of the event (I really don’t know)]

“Families may pray in their homes, sick in hospitals, and parish communities in their churches,” they said.

“A hundred years ago, Mary gave these three Portuguese children a message of salvation: repent, give reparation for sins against my Immaculate Heart and pray the rosary,” the bishops added. Rosary on the Borders is a “special opportunity” to fulfill that calling.

How beautiful.

Poland is having a major fight with the EU-trying-to-be-totalitarian-superstate over acceptance of muslim invaders/”immigrants” (a term far more worthy of scare quotes).  The EU is demanding all member states take their quota of muslims. Poland, Hungary, and Czech Republic have refused to accept any significant number of these immigrants.  Poland in particular has apparently refused to accept any.  If you look at a map of terror attacks in Europe,, you see that Poland has, by some astonishing freak of nature, had none!

So perhaps a rump Christian Europe will remain, centered not in the west but in the east?

A really excellent video analyzing the current state of the Church from Michael Matt.  He incidentally gets in some digs at that operation in Detroit that still, apparently – I haven’t watched any of their product in years, for a number of reasons – is refusing to address the 900 bazillion ton elephant in the room, while spending enormous effort/volume of fire shooting at various mice and cockaroaches.  Sure those latter must be opposed and drug into the daylight, but the house will still be destroyed so long as the elephant is free to rampage, and the damage done by the former is orders of magnitude greater than the latter.

But the main point of the video is not just to expostulate on the dire situation in the Church, a situation likely unprecedented in Her 2000 year history, but also to give hope to know that God is still in charge, that His promise to never abandon His Church and the faithful still applies, and that we must have recourse to Our Blessed Mother as our ultimate intercessor with God to have mercy on His Church and restore sanity to the Church.

Both Matt, and, I should add, Bishop Gracida note that this lay intercession is a necessary step in the path towards a formal correction issuing from a certain body of Cardinals, which, I pray, will be more than two.  Bishop Gracida believes that Cardinal Burke, the obvious leader of the cardinalatial “resistance,” should do so before the end of the year.  Even if the cardinals do nothing, either because they are unwilling or unable to do so (for instance, if no other cardinal will join Burke), the lay correction still has great value.  Francis has been corrected. He has been called out.  Future generations, once sanity has been restored to the Church, can and will make use of the historical record this correction provides – and if I were the authors of the correction, I would disseminate hard copies to every chancery and every major Catholic university in the world.  The electronic pseudo-records may not be around forever.

The key role for the laity in all of this however is two fold – to keep the Faith, and to pray.  We cannot allow ourselves to be drawn into extremes of thought or action because of the daily uber-scandals inflicted upon us.  We cannot allow our hearts to become hard and to lose Faith in the Lord.  This too shall pass.  Not perhaps in our lifetimes, but eventually.  And if not, perhaps our children or grandchildren will be witness to the glory of the Lord again on this earth in the Second Coming.  Our Lord Himself told us in inspired and inerrant Scripture that at the end of times, the Faith would be all but dead in the hearts of men.

In the interim, we must be doing all we can – more than we presently think we can – in terms of prayer and sacrifice, and in particular prayer for the intercession of Our Lady. Perhaps this October 13 will witness another unprecedented miracle, but perhaps not.  Either way, Our Lady’s intercession is our best recourse for bringing about the restoration of Holy Mother Church and, just as importantly, the conversion of so many billions of dead, hardened souls.  Even in times when the Faith was infinitely more alive in the hearts of men, at least in parts of the world (the 13th century), the Lord’s hand of judgment was stayed through the enormous piety and noble acts of a handful of great Saints, especially St. Vincent Ferrer.  The fewness of the number of the remnant matters not, what matters is their fervor of faith and cooperation with Grace.  In this respect, some of us, and I certainly include myself in this number, have not been doing all we possibly can, preferring instead to cast aspersions at the failures of others rather than take out the beam in my own eye.

You may have already seen the video, but if you have not, I strongly recommend you watch it.  It’s extremely good.  As a final aside, in the interest of time, I have developed the habit of watching videos at 1.25 or 1.5x speed, which makes a 24 minute video last 16 minutes.  Any faster and they either sound ridiculous or I can’t keep up.

Pray.  And reserve some mercy in your hearts even for those who so despise the truths of our Faith and work so hard to endanger souls – we must, as Catholics, love all, even those who wound us so deeply and spread so much obvious destruction.

For the fifth month in a row, Mater Dei FSSP parish in Irving, TX, held a Rosary Procession in honor of the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima.  The final centennial procession will be held Friday, October 13 at 7pm and will process along public streets (SH 356/Irving Blvd) from Mater Dei to Trinity View Park at the Irving/Dallas border.

Attendance was very good last night.  I would guesstimate between 250 and 300 people attended.  And this isn’t even the “big” procession! See below.

I love what the organizers have done with the lighting of Our Lady for these night processions.  It was really beautiful.

Videos below.  I did not capture every moment of the procession, which took over half an hour, but did get most major portions.  It gives a flavor for it, anyway, which is not bad, considering I didn’t plan on recording ahead of time, I just decided to on the spot.

Filmed by hand.  There is some jiggly screen, but not too much, I don’t think.  If that bothers you, you might not want to watch.

The Solemnity of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary is on September 15.  Start Novena today or tomorrow.

Most holy and afflicted Virgin, Queen of Martyrs, you stood
beneath the cross, witnessing the agony of your dying Son.quito
Look with a mother’s tenderness and pity on me, who kneel
before you. I venerate your sorrows and I place my requests
with filial confidence in the sanctuary of your wounded heart
.

Present them, I beseech you, on my behalf to Jesus Christ,
through the merits of His own most sacred passion and death,
together with your sufferings at the foot of the cross. Through the united efficacy of both, obtain the granting of my petition.
To whom shall I have recourse in my wants and miseries if not
to you, Mother of Mercy? You have drunk so deeply of the
chalice of your Son, you can compassionate our sorrows.

Holy Mother, your soul was pierced by a sword of sorrow at
the sight of the passion of your divine Son. Intercede for me
and obtain for me from our Lord {mention your petition}, if
it be for His honor and glory, and for my good. Amen.

LET US PRAY
Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our
hearts; that, we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy
Son, was made known by the message of an Angel, may by
His Passion and Cross, be brought to the glory of His
Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.Virgin Showing the Man of Sorrows_MEMLING, Hans

The Novena below is also for the intention of increased holiness in our marriages and families.  It is from marriage and the family that societies are built, or fall.  It is from the family that the sanctity or worldliness of the Church flows.  There are few things for which we could possibly have more cause to pray than for holy marriages and families, including, of course, our own. This Novena starts tomorrow 08/30 and ends on the Vigil of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary:

I am sorry I have not yet had the opportunity to watch either of the videos below in their totality.  In fact, I’ve only had a time to watch the first few moments of each.  But they reveal that what I hoped would come to fruition indeed has – that Father Rodriguez has found a vehicle in The Fatima Center to reach souls with his apostolate.  When I examine the internet as a totality (see yesterday’s post), I should keep in mind that it enables a persecuted, hounded priest like Father Michael Rodriguez to still reach souls, and that is not an inconsequential thing.  In reality, determining whether such a massive, disparate, confused, self-contradictory object as the internet is a good or bad thing in its totality is probably well beyond my very limited capabilities.

That aside, it seems Father might be making regular contributions to The Fatima Center’s Youtube channel.  I certainly hope so.

Father’s two sermons continue the theme he began in some previous ones, the role of the Blessed Virgin in the Lord’s plan of salvation and our own particular efforts at sanctification.  The first sermon focuses on the relationship between the Holy Ghost and the Blessed Virgin Mary.  God’s Grace is what makes us holy.  God has willed to share His Grace with us through Mary, who is the Mediatrix of all grace. Father quotes numerous popes and saints in attesting to Mary’s critical role in the diffusion of grace into souls, including St. Bernadine of Siena, Blessed Pope Pius IX, Pope Benedict XV, and St. Maximilian Kolbe, among others.

Devotion to Mary – and this is attested to by the great Moral Doctor St. Alphonsus, along with St. Louis de Montfort – is absolutely vital for salvation.  St. Alphonsus says it is morally impossible for a soul to be saved without a powerful devotion to Our Lady, and the deeper the devotion, the greater the likelihood, generally speaking, of salvation for an individual soul.

God wills our salvation through the diffusion of Grace in the Holy Ghost, and this God further wills that this sanctification through Grace take place in and through Our Blessed Mother.

That’s a pretty fair synopsis of the first video, anyway.

The second video is somewhat on a somewhat related topic, focusing more explicitly on Fatima and the Light of Christ.  Our Lady came to Fatima in 1917 to bring the Light of Christ to our times.

Father notes that the great crisis afflicting the Church – and numerous souls – is the lack of holiness, grace, and truth in the Church.  Instead of holiness, we are, like good Americanists, concerned with external works and creating pleasant communities.  Instead of supernatural grace, we are concerned with natural talents and efforts. In stead of cooperating with divine grace, we are concerned with individual liberty;  instead of growing =with grace, we are concerned with physical health and material comforts.  Instead of truth, we are concerned with political correctness. Instead of the one truth, we are concerned with promoting each person’s or group;’s beliefs equally, regardless of truth or error.  And instead of conforming our lives to the Truth, we are more concerned with deforming the Truth to correspond with the way we live.  We must consider holiness, grace, and truth as the light that comes from Jesus Christ.  This fallen world will never give us holiness, grace, and truth – only Jesus Christ, our Savior, Lord, and King can do so.

Notice how significant light is to the Fatima apparitions, and when you think of this light, recall that it is Christ’s holiness, grace, and truth.  If you believe in the Gospel, you must believe in Fatima.  The message of Fatima is the message of the Gospel.  Man has turned away from God, he must now turn back to God – nothing is more important.

To do this, we must do the five things God demands of us through Our Lady of Fatima:

  1. Pray the Holy Rosary daily – dedicate your Rosary to consoling Mary’s heart, and meditating on the Divine Mysteries
  2. Wear the brown scapular
  3. Be faithful in accomplishing one’s daily duty according to one’s state in life
  4. Make reparation – pray and sacrifice for the conversion of sinners
  5. The devotion of the Five First Saturdays, in reparation for wounds inflicted on the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Also pray the Raccolta prayers 386-393 (you can bet I’ll check those out as soon as I get home!). Father closes with three quotes from St. John Eudes and a personal prayer to Our Lady.

I’ll let that stand as a very brief synopsis.

This second sermon is especially powerful and if you only have time to watch/listen to one, focus on this second one.  Both are great, and both should be listened to, as they build on each other, but I understand how limited time is for many of us.

Finally, some photos have emerged of Father’s pilgrimage to Quito, Ecuador, and the great shrine of Our Lady of Good Success, in 2016 (2015?).  I was unaware, until I saw the photos, that the very good and holy priest of the Fraternity of St. Peter, Fr. Jonathan Romanowski, was also present during this pilgrimage. I only share a few photos, please go to the link to see the rest.  There are some truly beautiful photos of the basilica of Our Lady of Good Success and other gorgeous churches.  What perfect venues for the offering of the Mass of the Ages, even with the sad, protestant-inspired post-conciliar wreckovations, which, thankfully, have been comparatively minimal in these sacred buildings.

Also inspiring is the attestation of the large crowds that assisted at these Masses.  These were probably  the first TLMs the hundreds of locals present had seen ever seen – and what a great work of spiritual mercy that is in itself.  There were only a score or so that accompanied Father on the pilgrimage, so it is a hopeful sight to see many others avail themselves of the Mass of St. Pius V – who knows what great fruit may result.

Just in time for the 100th anniversary. Most excellent.  Details below.  There are a number of speakers at the event, mostly drawn from the Catholic Answers crowd:

I learned a lot from Fr. John Trigilio during my initial conversion.  That show Web of Faith he hosted on EWTN was really good for me.  It was my favorite Catholic program for a time.

I also like John Henry Westen.  The guy is a rock, and has faced a lot of persecution for this efforts defending Holy Mother Church and the sanctity of life.

Cardinal Burke is to offer Mass.  No word on whether it will be a TLM or Novus Ordo, but my money would be on the latter, sadly.  The Friday Mass at St. Monica will definitely be Novus Ordo.

The website for the event is here.  The event costs $137 per individual if you buy tickets before Aug 31, after that, $159.

Schedule below:

I’d love to go, but this is too high for us.  Also I will be out of town that weekend at a family reunion in beautiful downtown Harper, Texas.

Fallen Culture: TLM Parish Encounters Supporters, Haters in Rural Kentucky Town August 10, 2017

Nice find by reader D.  This is a long article about a newish TLM parish in Park Hills, KY, a town of about 3000 people.  The TLMers have found quiet supporters and loud opponents, which opposition seems quite detached from any real-world concerns, but fall into “I don’t like them sortsa people” category.

Reader D speaks highly of the Missionaries of St. John the Baptist, who run this TLM community with 5(!!) priests.  And that for a parish with maybe 150 souls.  Shoot I wish we had five here in Irving!  We could sure use ’em!  I know only a little about the Missionaries of St. John, but good on all they seem to be doing, especially Eucharistic processions on public streets which seem to have weirded the local freakshow out.

Various excerpts from this long article:

In Park Hills, a beautiful spot on the Kentucky side of the river, a group of traditional Catholic newcomers wants to build a grotto, like the one in Lourdes, France, where miracles are said to have happened.

But the preparation for such a miracle is drawing fire from those who worry about the traffic that would come, the changes that would be required of the town of 3,000 and the more narrow mindset that many say is coming with it.

“Everyone is entitled to believe what they want,” said resident Gretchen Stephenson. “I have a problem when those beliefs cross into our secular government.” [I’m not sure how building a grotto on private land somehow compromises secular government.  Basically what the article reveals is a deep hostility towards believing Christians, and anything those Christians want to do]

……….A year ago, Our Lady of Lourdes Church opened.

Not many in the community took note when, in June 2016, Covington Bishop Roger Foys issued a decree consecrating the 80-year-old church building. A year earlier, the nondenominational Christian Faith Church moved out.

Our Lady of Lourdes is now the only diocesan-recognized church in the Cincinnati area devoted solely to the old Latin Mass………[Follows an interesting but common discussion of what separates the TLM from what passes for Catholicism in most locales over the past 50 years, including conversions/reversions because of the reverence and plain efficacy of the TLM]

[One thing I like about this parish is how public their displays of faith are.  We locals need to start entering floats in the Irving parades]……They participated in the town’s Memorial Day Parade with a float. A church member dressed as the Virgin Mary struck a prayerful pose on a float made to look like a grotto.

But they are clashing with the community.

They’re planning a grotto, like the one that made the peasant girl into St. Bernadette, and the cave into a destination for millions of pilgrims over the past 150 years. (Every year, 350,000 pilgrims continue to bathe in the waters of the spring in the grotto, which believers have attributed miraculous healings.) [Yes, but that’s Lourdes.  There are hundreds of Marian and even Lourdes grottoes around the country and few draw more than a few dozen a week over and above regular parishioners]

So intent are the members of Park Hills church on achieving this goal that they are raising $300,000 to $400,000 to have a grotto by 2019, according to the church newsletter.

To some residents, the image of thousands of pilgrims clogging their narrow streets has struck fear in their hearts. [Oh please.  Pure self-interested BS]

……….the church, in a statement, estimated the grotto will attract 50 people a day. The statue of Mary would be just under five feet.

“Anyone who cares to visit this little cave will find this a peaceful place,” said Father Sean Kopczynski, one of the priests at Our Lady of Lourdes, during a presentation to the Park Hills City Council……..

……The whole idea took Park Hills by surprise when it came to light in February. Those shocked included Mayor Matt Mattone who became mayor in 2015, his first public office.

“It’s surreal to me,” Mattone said. “It is kinda like a Twilight Zone I’ve inherited. All this is happening beneath the scenes that no one knew about and suddenly it’s coming to fruition.” [Good Lord these things are built on Catholic parishes every year!  It doesn’t harm the community, they should be grateful for the potential income from tourism and other sources.  Comparing a parish grotto to Lourdes is like comparing this tiny little parish of a couple hundred souls to St. Peter’s.

The more you talk to residents and church members, the more the issue goes beyond the church and the grotto. Some neighbors feel the church has attracted an intolerant group of people to the city. The church members feel that they’re under attack from a city that doesn’t know or care about them. [And so we come to the point, a small town in KY serving as a microcosm of fallen post-Christian America, where there are sodomite couples just itching to take on the pretense of persecution so they can get their victimhood bucks]

………..An anti-gay bumper stickeron a car parked in a specific spot in this progressive town has raised her ire.

“We bought a gay pride flag,” Froelich said. “This is ridiculous. That kind of intolerance is not acceptable.” [No, what you mean is, I have deeply held religious beliefs, and Christian beliefs contradict my own, and I don’t want to countenance that.  Note parishioners claim the bumper sticker issue has been the source of progressive lies, which, given things like how the recent Google memo was utterly misrepresented by the press and progressives, but I repeat myself, go figure]

Bob Ford noticed the bumper sticker while working in his garden this February. It was affixed to a gray sedan parked in front of the house he and his husband, Steve Crites, have owned for the past nine years.

Cars often don’t park in front of their home due to the narrow streets.

Church members and residents differ on what the bumper sticker said.

Ford and Crites said the sticker had the phrase “It’s Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve,” implying homosexuality is heretical. Ford and Crites don’t think it was accidental that the car with that bumper sticker ended up parked in front of their home for more than a week.

“No, this does not need to happen here,” Ford said were his first thoughts. “Can you believe this?”

The sticker had been slapped on over an anti-abortion sticker that had been on the car. Those in the neighborhood said it belonged to church members at the end of the street. Church members said the bumper sticker read: “Male and Female He created Them -Genesis 1:27.”

“Obviously with the Catholic Church and the Ten Commandments, which everyone used to believe, there’s a whole tension in a society that’s very divided,” church pastor Collins said.

Some residents rushed to the church’s defense. They see the church as the victim of hate.

It’s everyone else that’s intolerant, said one woman, identified only as Maureen, at a February council meeting.

………[City Councilwoman and parish supporter Pam] Spoor has recused herself from any votes about the church. She believes church members have been the target of undue scrutiny and harassment from the rest of the city[Indeed.  Small additions like this grotto rarely attract any political attention.  They happen all the time. Goodness a smaller one was built at our local parish last year with nary a peep.  There is bigotry and intolerance here, as noted below, but it’s not coming from the Catholics.]

“I don’t like to hear that from my city,” Spoor said. “I’ve lived in my city for 39 years. All the intolerance and bigotry, there is no room for that in any city.”

There is much more, and more revealing, at the link, but I’ve taken probably more than I should have. You should definitely read the rest.

It goes on to discuss how the parish held a procession on public streets  (good for them!), and how that really ignored the intolerant progressives in the nearby neighborhood.  So several of them camped out in front of the parish for hours one Sunday with phones in hand ready to record this horrible assault on their progressive sensibilities.  Unfortunately, the bullying may have worked, or perhaps prudence was at play, but the community just lapped around the parish property instead of giving public witness as they have in the past.

As reader D noted, what a commentary on both our Church and our times.  Now the few faithful Catholics are the oddballs, the trouble makers, the targets of persecution, while the leadership of the Church almost universally prostrates itself before a culture that will always, always hate them, not for what they do, but for Whom they represent.

Get ready for tough times ahead.  But such times make martyrdom, and God loves best those who cooperate with the trials and mortifications He sends, or allows.

I pray this parish gets their grotto, and that they witness our glorious Faith as boldly and fervently and as publicly as humanly possible.

The comments on the article are typical – Church haters and defenders of Tradition.  One interesting point noted in the comments is that the area already has 3 Catholic grottoes of various types, and they haven’t caused the flood of traffic so dreaded by opponents of the parish.  This is about antipathy toward authentic Catholicism, pure and simple.

I would say briefly, in conclusion – imagine opposing a shrine to the Holy Mother of God.  What a sick, perverse, and most of all pathetically small-minded time we live in.

Yeah, it’d be terrible to have this in my town

I said in a previous post what a wonderful collaboration I could imagine between Father Rodriguez and The Fatima Center.  It seems such a collaboration may be flowering, The Fatima Center Youtube channel has uploaded another bit of catechesis from Father, and it’s a very good one:

A few choice quotes/summations: Quoting Pope St. Pius X: Apostasy from God is destroying society (in particular Western Civilization).  All artifice and effort is used to destroy the memory and the knowledge of God, rejecting, most of all, the idea of God’s supreme dominion over man and all creation, because, to the God-hating revolutionaries in and out of the Church, man must be his own God.  Read Guadium Et Spes and see if you don’t pick up a huge whiff of humanist triumphalism .  If St. Pius X’s claims were true 114 years ago, and they demonstrably were, how much more true are they today?  Goodness even questioning the prevailing sexular pagan orthodoxy in measured and scientific tones, with abundance of supporting data, will get you fired from a hugely influential corporation like Google.  What would they do to someone who preached the Truth of Jesus Christ to them -a firing squad?

But what was the Miracle of the Sun really about, but a testimony to God’s Supreme Dominion?  Thus the manifest errors of the world – so much less 100 years ago than they are today! – brought about the greatest, most well documented public miracle in the history of humankind (leaving aside the miracles of God Incarnate).  But how few souls have been moved to change their ways even by such a fantastic demonstration of God’s Holy Dominion over all of the universe.

“We are guilty.  God is truth, and our present world is filled with heresy.  God is holy, and our present world blasphemes and desecrates over and over again.  God is pure, and our present world is filthier than filth with impurity and putrid sins of the flesh, including the abomination of sodomy.”

Our Lady’s answer to the terrible sins of the world, and, yes, even the Church (today), is bipartite: prayer, and penance.  “Penance, penance, penance” she counseled.  She urges us to believe, adore, and hope in God, and always to love him.  Prayer and penance are the most concrete means at our disposal to both demonstrate this love for God and to offset the hatred for God evidenced in so many other souls.

“In order to be happy, we need God.  We need to adore God, honor God, respect God, and obey God.  All the evil darkness and sin in the world can be reduced to two basic ways in which God rejects God: modern man is rejecting God by the outright denial of God’s existence (atheism, at the root of communism, and also secular materialism), and by refusing to believe in God as God has revealed himself – simply put, by rejecting the Catholic religion.  This is one of the root causes of ALL the evil in the world……..It is a terrible sin of our times to think that each one is free to determine how to believe in God (the root error of protestantism).”

“Repeat to yourself often – God is the one who reveals Himself.  I accept and obey, I believe.  That’s what faith means -to believe in God, as He has revealed Himself. ”

“There is only one true religion.  All other religions are false.”  YAY FATHER GOD BLESS YOU for having the fortitude to preach this uncomfortable, often unpopular truth.

Our Lady came to Fatima to warn against the heresy of modernism. In the post-conciliar period, there has unfolded a particularly sinister and diabolical way has been rejected – not outright, and not by individual disobedience – but by disobedience at the highest levels of the Church. There have been ongoing and repeated attempts, ongoing even to this day, to try to change the Catholic religion, dilute it, and shift the focus from the supernatural to the natural, so that it still appears to be Catholic, but in actuality is not.  The purpose of the Catholic religion is not to end world poverty and fight against climate change.  The purpose is to lead souls to know and adore the one true God and so gain the happiness of Heaven. In the post-conciliar period the Catholic religion has been horribly corrupted by attempts to adapt it to the increasingly secular and materialistic culture.  We must conform to the Truth. Our culture must change, and be converted and conform to the Truth.  We cannot alter or dilute the Truth in order to justify how we live.

Well, I’d better leave some for you to watch!  Suffice it to say, this sermon has all the high quality and good for souls one would expect from Father Michael Rodriguez.  God bless him and those other priests, so few in number and often so made to suffer for their love of God and adherence to the Truth He reveals.  Please pray for Father.  His situation remains difficult but he continues to do as much good as he can under the circumstances -and that good is not inconsiderable.
