Aside from a bit of football, mostly college, we never watch TV.  Even watching football on a Saturday afternoon is problematic, at least, because of the commercials.  We generally turn the channel or turn it off.

So the likelihood that we would stumble on this atrocious new program from Fox called “The Mick” is low, but I’ve got to say I think I saw ads for it during a bowl game.  It looked terrible, and it seems it is.  It inspires me to want to get rid of the TV someone gave us a couple of years ago.  Here are the problems with this new program, to air during the “family hours” of prime time:

And what exactly is “The Mick”?

It’s a “comedy” series featuring “Micky”, an irresponsible, foul-mouthed, cigarette-smoking alcoholic, pill popping woman who assumes guardianship of her spoiled niece and nephews.

It features unprotected teen sex, a child consuming quantities of birth control pills. Strong language (“b*tch,” “a$$,”) and crude sexual references are frequent, with kicking, screaming, and slapping.

And it’s airing right now in the “family hour”, when programming is supposed to be appropriate for any age.

But is this program “appropriate”?  Just listen to this:

  • Kids get slapped in the face repeatedly.
  • There is underage drinking, foul language, and drug use.”
  • Along with an incredible array of inappropriate sexual banter, and nasty talk.

And it gets even worse.  Mick lets her teenage niece have boys in her room, and smiles with approval when she hears banging coming from upstairs.

So is Mick a “cool aunt?”

Or is this twisted and warped entertainment – using kids to promote contraception, homosexuality, and transgenderism?

More from this site where you can sign a petition opposing the airing of this program:

Lindsay Kornick with the Media Research Center’s NewsBusters writes: “There is nothing decent about The Mick. Not the topic, not the characters, and most definitely not the humor.”

Fox Comedy Features 6YO ‘Trans’ Boy Wearing Bondage Gag

I don’t know how effective this kind of opposition is. You’re probably better off telling Fox that, thanks to them, you’ve decided to cancel your cable/satellite/broadband subscription and won’t be viewing ANY programming, least of all theirs.

We always hear what a fallacy the slippery slope argument is, and, logically speaking, it can be, but this all started with short skirts and innuendo in the 60s, fell into more bawdy and controversial humor in the 70s, then descended into outright nudity, profanity, and immorality in the 80s and 90s.  Television programming is enormously powerful and has probably played THE key role in the advance of the sodomite and other perverse agendas – indeed, as the orchestrators of those agendas deliberately planned that to be.  The infamous book laying out the “gay agenda” in the late 80s – After the Ball – spoke of using TV and the movies to first normalize sodomy, and then so glorify it as to be in many senses viewed as superior to morally upright use of the marital faculties.  And so here we are today, with transgender 6 year olds wearing ball gags, for pity’s sake.  What a travesty.  All along, people have been pooh-poohed who warned that the steady decline in morality in broadcast media would lead to exactly what we see today, and we were all lectured by our cultural betters what fools such nattering nabobs of negativity were.

Couple this post with the previous one for a course of appropriate action, perhaps.

Coup Complete? Knights of Malta Condom Chancellor Claims Cardinal Burke “De Facto” Suspended February 22, 2017

A bit more data on the attempts to reduce Cardinal Burke’s formal role and thus influence in the Church, the notorious Albrecht von Boeselager, the man at the center of the controversy within the Knights of Malta for his involvement in the distribution of condoms, has claimed that Cardinal Burke is “de facto” suspended.  Well, it’s certainly clear that at this point, with his dismissal by Francis from his former post as Cardinal Patron of the order, Cardinal Burke lacks any clear apostolate or formal role in the Church.  He’s also, of course, been shuttled off to Guam.  Francis intervened decisively in Boeselager’s favor, not only reinstating a man who had taken gravely immoral actions entirely contrary to the Doctrine of the Faith, but deposing the former leadership of the Knights and instituting direct Vatican control over what had been, throughout its 500 year history, always a lay-led and run organization.

That’s what you call a decisive intervention.  There are many prurient reasons for this intervention, not the least of which being the Boeselager’s wealth and their involvement in the often corrupt Vatican bank, but don’t think the issue of contraception did not play a significant role. I’m quite certain it did.  In fact, this entire issue may have been orchestrated in order to further isolate and ostracize Cardinal Burke, the most effective leader to date of opposition to Francis, at least publically among the episcopate.  The report, via LifeSiteNews:

The Knights of Malta official at the center of controversy over the Order’s Catholic identity and sovereignty says its patron, Cardinal Raymond Burke, has been “de facto” suspended.

Albrecht von Boeselager, a German aristocrat, was removed from his post as Grand Chancellor on the grounds that he violated his promise of obedience. He hadn’t submitted to his superiors’ request that he resign after it was revealed he had overseen the distribution of contraception in the developing world. The Catholic Church teaches that contraception is intrinsically evil.

After Boeslager’s removal caused a kerfuffle, Pope Francis personally stepped in, reinstating Boeselager to his former position. The pope also asked Grand Master Matthew Festing, the order’s highest-ranking official who had removed Boeselager, to resign. This was unusual because the order of Malta is a sovereign state. [It’s also the first time such a demand – and it was a demand, done under great pressure, not a request – has ever been made in the 500 year history of the order.]

The pontiff then appointed a “papal delegate” to run the order.

In comments translated by The Tablet, Von Boeselager told the Archdiocese of Cologne’s website, domradio.de, that delegate Archbishop Angelo Becciu is now fulfilling Cardinal Burke’s role.

Becciu “has the full confidence of the Pope and is his spokesman,” von Boeselager said. [Gee, you figure?] “That means that Cardinal Burke as Cardinal Patron of the Order is now de facto suspended.” [Is that, suspended as Cardinal Patron, or suspended in a more general sense?]

Von Boeselager said it’s a “completely unfounded accusation” that Pope Francis undermined the Order’s sovereignty by demanding Festing’s resignation. [This is BS. All other reports have indicated Francis went on one of his epic tirades when Festing was summoned to the Doma Sancta Marthae and insisted on a most groveling “resignation” on the spot, directing Festing to blame Burke for the entire affair.  But spinners gonna spin]

“The Pope acted at the Order’s wish and he took great care that the Order’s sovereignty was in no way violated or impaired,” [as he unprecedentedly violated a sovereign order’s sovereignty] he said. “He asked the Grand Master to step down, his resignation was carried out according to the Order’s regulations and was accepted. The appointment of the Holy Father’s delegate is expressly limited to the spiritual side of the Order and has nothing to do with its activities as a sovereign power.”

We shall see what further action is taken against Cardinal Burke.  With this most vindictive and ideological of Bishops of Rome, there is no chance he’s done trying to humiliate him and break his influence.

Something tells me these efforts will backfire, however.

The Elites Got Their Scalp – Milo Yiannopoulos Resigns Brietbart February 22, 2017

While it may seem like a tempest in a teacup, or perhaps the well-earned and inevitable downfall of someone who created a name for himself by flaunting social (or elite) convention constantly and brazenly, I do have grave concerns over the rapid and seemingly near-total destruction of Milo Yiannopolous over the past two days.  He just announced his “resignation” from Brietbart a little while ago, but from what I have heard and read the resignation was forced and eagerly desired by some Brietbart staffers who had grown annoyed at Milo’s popularity and antics.  His lucrative book deal has been cancelled.  He claims he has many new projects in the works, but his name has probably been permanently sullied by this “high tech lynching,” to quote Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

For those unaware of what I am discussing, videos were published, first on sites very closely linked to several high-power establishment Repubniks, containing highly edited statements from Milo Yiannopolous – videos recorded many months to a year+ ago –  that gave the appearance that he either supported, apologized for, or had some sympathy for pedophilia.  When it was shown that his words were being completely twisted, slightly less edited versions were released that made it appear that Milo was at least of questionable judgment on this matter.  Milo maintains he was speaking of personal experience and that he is a bitter opponent of pedophiles.

I have had many thoughts and been rather conflicted about all this.  First of all, this is obviously a carefully engineered takedown of someone who was a rising threat to the dominant uniparty elites.  The offending comments were made long ago and were the “juiciest” things that hundreds of thousands of dollars of oppo research could find.  And they were definitely not good. I think it’s confirmed now that Milo’s perversion is not an act and that it seriously affects aspects of his judgments, and not in a good way.

Amazingly, as all this has developed, it seems the Novus Ordo church played a significant role in Milo’s downfall, and I don’t mean just this week’s developments.  Assuming he is being truthful, Milo was first exposed to the sodomite lifestyle by an English Catholic priest.  That was his first “experience,” when he was 13.  What a tragedy.  What a scandal.  Even more incredibly, very few people have even batted an eye at this revelation.  “Oh yes another priest raped and morally ruined a young boy, yawn……”  I mean, that’s’ been the overall reaction.  That the Church has been involved in the moral corruption of a young boy yet again, something which not only ruined him but likely his entire family……..it makes me want to throw up.  And yes I know this went on before VII, but VII did not materialize from a vacuum. The very fact there were perverts of this type corrupting the priesthood was a significant factor in the phenomenon we call Vatican II even coming into being.

But this revelation brings two very important points to the fore: one, those who suffer childhood sex abuse are never quite right again.  Their ability to judge certain moral matters, especially those related to their own sexuality, are almost always forever compromised by the violent taking of their innocence. Secondly, a great many sodomites are sodomites because they were abused by men at a very young age.  Thus, this entire sequence of sorry events is not entirely surprising.

That is to say, I agree quite a bit with Sargon’s analysis below, which, while generally apologizing for Milo, admits that he probably had to turn his abuse into a “good thing” to mentally and emotionally deal with such unimaginably deep and hurtful wounds (LANGUAGE WARNING):

I’ll add a few more thoughts, sort of randomly.  First of all, the various ages of consent in differing nations are more or less arbitrary.  It’s 16 in England, 14 in Germany, generally 17 or 18 in the US,  etc.  Of course there is no such thing in muslim countries, where young boys are systematically abused with societal and religious approval and girls as young as 8 or 9 are sold as “brides.”

Is the US with relatively high ages of consent more moral?  But wasn’t Saint Elizabeth of Hungary married at age 14?  In fact, throughout the Age of Faith, the great and high Middle Ages, marriage at such ages was routine.  Of course, people generally died much younger, too, but I don’t think 13th century Spain or 11th century Italy was less Christian or less moral than these United States, or anywhere in the world today.  Not that I think such is appropriate today, nor would I want that for my 6 daughters.  I am merely stating that all these things are really just conventions and are almost wholly arbitrary.

The other things is, Milo is right, those who are carrying out this attempted destruction are not doing so out of moral outrage.  They are doing it to take out a target they don’t like.  The real target is not Yiannopolous.  It’s Steve Bannon, and more importantly, Donald Trump.  Milo was, whatever one may think of him, energizing an entirely new generation towards conservative/libertarian/populist beliefs, and there was a very strong cross-over between the thousands of kids who braved insult and injury to hear Milo speak on college campuses and support for Trump.  He was also, like Trump, extremely effective at bulldozing into oblivion the cultural marxist structures in the academia, media, heck, in the very language, which are such powerful tools of the Left.  He had been almost immune to criticism, with his “high on the victim pyramid” lifestyle and devil may care nature.  Until now.

My concern is that if the elite media complex/entrenched political powers can do this to a Milo Yiannopolous or a Mike Flynn, they can do it to any of us.  There has been a recent spate of what seem like vengeful attacks from the old media on the new, with targeted takedowns of rising new media personalities.  For some analysis of how and why this is happening, I think this is spot on (again, language warning).  And, of course, we have seen the media-government complex deign to destroy average Joes and Janes for exceedingly trivial sins against the sexular pagan orthodoxy on a number of occasions, from cake bakers in Oregon to photographers in New Mexico to bed and breakfast owners in Vermont to florists in Washington.  This is about power, and maintaining a narrow, undeserving oligarchy in the power and riches which it has arrogated to itself.  To me, it’s all part of a broader reaction against the little people who got a little too uppity and actually exercised their rights in a way the elites find annoying.

Having said all that, Milo largely did this to himself.  I’d hate to have every off-hand or “boozy” (his words) comment I’ve ever made microscopically analyzed and held up for all the world to see, but that’s also what goes with the territory.  The old media and entrenched political powers are not nice people and have no scruples in destroying anyone they perceive as being in their way, or simply annoying.  Heck, it’s practically a sport to these people.  Milo should have known, having already experienced several attempted “lynchings” for his blasphemies against the state religion of sexular pagan cultural marxism.  I’m sure he’ll be back in some fashion, but he’s been permanently damaged by this, which takes away another important defender and ally from Trump.

I expect this to become far more cruel and ugly as we go along.  They want to destroy all those who publicly support Trump and ultimately go after him.

Texas Lt. Gov. Tells NFL to Buzz Off Over Transgender Bathroom Interference February 17, 2017

Many people, even Texans, are not be aware that by far the most influential/powerful office in Texas state government is that of Lieutenant Governor.  The Lieutenant Governor sets the legislative agenda and has a powerful rule-making position in the state senate.  The office of governor is much more of a figurehead position that holds only limited powers, the ability to veto legislation being probably the foremost of these.

With that in mind, it is significant that legislation was proposed last month for the upcoming legislative session that would allow private enterprises to set their own policies with regard to this insane “let’s let deranged grown men use the same bathroom as little girls” issue that came to the fore last year under heavy pressure from the Obama administration.  Schools and some other public entities would be required to maintain single-sex restrooms.

Shortly after the most recent Super Bowl, which took place in Texas, the NFL decided to huff and puff over this grievous offense to their increasingly radical left-wing sensibilities.  An NFL official threatened that should the bill pass, the NFL would block awarding future Super Bowls to the state.  Many noted the irony of the timing – they only spoke out after the Super Bowl occurred.

Was Lt. Governor, a stalwart pro-lifer, going to be swayed by this attempted influence?  No, no he was not:

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick told the National Football League to “get out of politics” and “not tell states what their public policy is” Wednesday after the NFL warned the state about moving forward with a transgender bathroom bill.

Just one week after the NFL held the Super Bowl in Houston, league spokesman Brian McCarthy issued a statement advising the state of Texas to carefully consider whether or not to pass Senate Bill 6, also known as the Texas Privacy Act. The bill, which was proposed in January, allows businesses to choose their own bathroom policies while prohibiting schools from allowing students to use bathrooms or locker rooms whose specified gender does not match their biological sex.

“The NFL needs to get out of politics. They need to stick to their business,” Patrick said Wednesday on “The Laura Ingraham Show.” “Does [NFL Commissioner] Roger Goodell, who didn’t care about people not respecting the national anthem, who took a while to come down on domestic violence — does he support boys and girls showering together in the 10th grade? Is that what the NFL is for?”

Although the bill was proposed in January, the NFL conveniently waited until the Super Bowl occurred in Texas a month later before issuing its political statement……..

……….But because the NFL is not a school, the Texas Privacy Act would allow the league to institute its own bathroom policies as it sees fit……

……”We’re a free enterprise state. If a business wants to be as stupid as Target and run off their business and see their stock drop 25 percent, let them do it,” Patrick said, referencing Target’s decision last year to announce that its patrons could use whichever restroom they wished. [Nice. Thank you.]
“We say that no school can have a policy that boys and girls share showers, locker rooms, and bathrooms. So the NFL thinks that’s discriminatory?” Patrick said. “If Roger Goodell is worried about our bill, then why doesn’t he announce that next season every stadium in the NFL is going to allow men in the ladies’ room? I don’t think that would fly with any of the NFL owners. The NFL needs to just stand on the sideline and not tell states what their public policy is.”
Well, should the legislature follow through and pass this bill as is generally expected, Texas can descend, along with North Carolina, even further into that basket of irredeemable deplorables that are so hated.
Here’s an idea – if we’re so rotten and evil, why not just let us leave and go our own way?

Bishop Robert Barron and the Cult of Man February 2, 2017

Before I begin, I’ll say that I have a sneaking admiration for Dave Rubin, the interviewer in question below.  Yes he’s an out n’ proud type who pretends to be married, and yes he’s an atheist and a liberal……..wait, why do I like him again?  Well, I don’t like him per se, but I do have some admiration for the fact that he is willing to hear out all comers, even those with radically different viewpoints, he despises the SJW Left, and he might even be heading towards a classical liberal/conservative standpoint. But he has many miles to go, which is why my respect for him is nascent and limited.

He recently had Auxiliary Bishop Robert Barron on his interview program.  Bishop Barron, as has been his wont over the years, mixed in some fairly solid defenses of the Faith with some abject surrenders that to me obliterated whatever good he may have conveyed.  Michael Matt in the first video below largely shares my assessment, noting that Barron blew a golden opportunity to reach out in charity to a lost soul and seemed to put human respect far above the Truth of Jesus Christ:

There are all kinds of things to takeaway from Barron’s abject surrender on the subject of the intrinsically disordered nature of the sodomitical inclination and the evil of any acts associated with that inclination.

First, he says the Church has been “disordered” in focusing too much on the sin.  This is what he thinks of Sacred Doctrine?  Bishop, heal thyself – or better yet, get over thyself and your worldly opinions.

Secondly, there is much aping of the Franciscan notion of false mercy.  Barron appears to hardly believe in sin anymore, excepting of course for those hateful pharisaical neo-promethean right wingers.  They all go to hell.

But seriously, should we expect anything else from the man who reduced the story of Original Sin to “theological poetry?”  No wonder he holds extremely messed up views of moral theology.

We see again and again this notion that the poor benighted Church before Francis was doctrinaire, hard-hearted and merciless.  What a load of chaff.  First of all, the moral/doctrinal collapse has been setting in for 50+ years.  This is only the fulfilment of errors advanced for decades.  Far from being doctrinaire, the Church has been caving relentlessly on Doctrine for decades.

But even the shriveled husk of Doctrine defended by JPII and a few others is apparently too much for the new Church of infinite humility and Francismercy.

This is where all the modernism in the Church has been headed for decades – towards complete moral surrender and oblivion for souls.

Church of accompaniment far more concerned about the opinions of men and not giving offense than with proclaiming the Truth  of Jesus Christ

Even the poor soul in the interview is left wondering what the heck the Church believes, and seems surprised that it’s really this weak.  Rubin is an admitted atheist, what on earth in this exchange would possibly dissuade him from any of his current beliefs and practices – on these matters most closely related to his primary moral failing and his erroneous beliefs the bishop totally fails because he is more concerned with being perceived as a “nice guy” and not giving offense than he is with conveying Truth vital for this man’s salvation.

And that is the entire problem – the crisis – in the Church in a nutshell.  Even the “conservatives” fear the opinions of men far more than they do the judgment of God, who they have turned into a cosmic candy dispenser, handing out salvation to everyone who comes calling.

If they are not right, they face an awful, awful reckoning.

Here is the full interview.  Barron does give a fairly good account of himself at times, but that really just makes his collapse on sodomy all the more pernicious for he mixes truth with error as Aquinas warned against:

The Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation will be presenting a series of talks at Mater Dei Latin Mass Parish in Irving on Feb. 18-19.  I am not certain if the director of the Center, Mr. Hugh Owen, is giving the talks or not.  Details are below:

All are invited to attend a seminar presented by the Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation on Creation and Evolution.

This will be a six part presentation on the philosophy, theology, and science behind creation and evolution.

The seminar is free, but a free will offering will be taken up to help cover the cost of this event.

Dinner will be served at 5pm on Saturday with a

suggested donation of $5 for adults; $2-3 per child.

Where: Mater Dei Parish Hall

When: (part 1) Saturday, Feb. 18th: 5-8/9pm

            (part 2) Sunday,  Feb. 19th: 2-5pm

BTW, in addition to overnight Adoration (TLM at 8p, Adoration starts after, ends before 8a Mass on Saturday) on the FIRST FRIDAY of each month, Mater Dei is experimenting with having Adoration from 1-5p on every Friday.  If attendance is sufficient to insure the Blessed Sacrament is never left unattended, it will become a regular thing.

The other upcoming local event is a series of protests to de-fund Planned Baby-Butchery at a couple of locations in the Diocese, to be held from 9-11a at Feb 11.  The principle one, to me, is at the baby-murder super center in South Dallas:

Dallas

Planned Parenthood – South Dallas Surgical Health Services Center
7989 W Virginia Dr, Dallas, TX 75237 (Map & Directions)
Time: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on February 11

The other protest is in Plano:

Plano

Planned Parenthood – Plano Health Center
600 N Central Expy, Plano, TX 75074 (Map & Directions)
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on February 11
Note: This event will consist of a prayer vigil. Street parking is available next to Fry’s Electronics on Executive Drive.

I plan to be at the protest in South Dallas.  Maybe I will see some of you there.

UPDATE: I added some material below, because there is one thing I forgot about the excerpts below from when I watched them last night.  Milo does seriously err, or misrepresent – innocently, I think – the beliefs of two great Doctors of the Church on a matter of great moral import.  I’ve made that clear below.

He speaks with the usual reserve and delicate concern for other’s feelings you’ve come to expect.

I know Milo is not everyone’s cup of tea.  He’s not always my cup of tea.  But he lays truth on a group of California college students harder and faster than the Keystone XL pipeline will be laid now that Obama is gone.

Three good videos below, all excerpts of the talk he gave at Cal Poly (the full talk is here, and much of it is dedicated to condemning the evil of abortion).  Those in attendance, primarily students, seemed a bit stunned by the extremely strong condemnations of abortion Milo made.  While he has mentioned abortion in previous talks during his college tour, he has not focused an entire hour long presentation on that incredibly important subject.  Usually his material is lighter and mixed with more humor, but he was more serious than usual as he should be on this grave matter, and good for him.  He also reveals his Catholicism (which appears real, if more than a little problematic if he is being honest about his peccadilloes) in good detail, quoting Doctors (though badly and erroneously – he claims Aquinas and Augustine thought prostitution should be legal, I know Aquinas did not, this is a serious misrepresentation of what Aquinas said) and beginning to form a cohesive framework of Catholic thought.  He still has a long way to go, though, and I’m afraid his study of the Doctors – as laudable as that is – comes from second or third sources, people who are “interpreting” the Doctors’ words in pursuit of some agenda, or otherwise misrepresenting them.

I think he deserves a lot of prayers.  There is obvious talent and potential here.  I still think he oversells his sexual inclinations as a sort of shield against leftist abuse, but perhaps he may be moving towards a celibate existence, if not already there.

Anyhoo, I like Gavin McInnes more and more, but this material was just too spot on for this blog to ignore (CONTENT WARNING: MILO DOES STILL HAVE A BIT OF A POTTY MOUTH AND HE IS DISCUSSING GROWN-UP SUBJECTS.  ALSO IF HE MAKES YOU UNCOMFORTABLE SIMPLY FOR WHAT HE IS JUST MOVE ALONG):

Dang right on the next one.  I’ll go one further, rampant fornication makes women miserable, crazy, an extreme risk of divorce and yes widely depressed and possibly suicidal.  It also puts men at risk of becoming soft and effeminate, flippant, inconstant, lazy, and often poor material for marriage:

And, of course, Margaret Sanger, foundress of that lodestar, that irredeemable symbol, of the cultural left in America, Planned Barrenhood, was a thoroughgoing and hateful racist who wanted to kill almost all black, brown, and poor white babies in her drive to make the world “safe” for bourgeois upper-crust white women:

Margaret Sanger is alive and well today in the social justice warriors, so-called “antifas,” and other core elements of the leftist radical fringe.  The same desires she had burn in their souls – to rid the world of anyone who doesn’t think like they do, while reducing everyone else (those in the middle, or unpolitical, or uninformed, etc) to a kind of cloying paternalist sub-human standard.

But Milo you must go two steps further, condemning not just abortion but also contraception and fornication, which create the conditions for mass abortion on demand.   Being opposed to abortion without opposing the evils that give rise to it is a bit like the Dutch boy with his finger in the dyke.

The Moral Collapse of the Boy Scouts Appears Complete January 31, 2017

Well, that didn’t take long…….2 1/2 years from accepting self-described homosexual youth members, then accepting scoutmasters and other leaders who openly practice sodomy, to now, accepting girls pretending to be boys.  The test case involves an EIGHT year old.  The parents that are allowing children to become so warped and then encourage their self-hatred and self-abuse would ideally be prime candidates for repeated visits from CPS, but in this crazy mixed up world of ours, that’s not likely to happen. Quite the contrary, the parent (only one is mentioned) involved will be praised to the skies for helping gift their child with a lifetime of loneliness, confusion, self-loathing, and exceedingly high rates of drug dependence, violence, and suicide.

Once again, an “advance” much ballyhooed and cherished by leftists has children as its principle victims (my emphasis and comments):

A New Jersey woman whose son [A lie becomes the truth……..Orwellian.  It’s not her son, it’s her daughter, and far too young to even the remotely comprehend the implications of this “gender dysphoria” the poor confused soul has been sucked into through whatever means] was asked to leave his Boy Scouts troop after leaders found out he is transgender said she has mixed emotions about the organization’s decision to allow transgender children who identify as boys to enroll in its boys-only programs.

The Boy Scouts of America announced Monday that enrollment in its boys-only programs will now be based on the gender a child or parent lists on his application to become a scout, rather than the gender listed on the child’s birth certificate. [Once you start to yield to the sexular pagan agenda, there is no limit to the demands they will make upon you, and each surrender makes the next both easier and more likely.  The Boy Scouts, as I predicted when they first collapsed, are finished.]

Eight-year-old Joe Maldonado was asked to leave his scout troop in Secaucus, New Jersey, last fall after parents and leaders found out he is transgender. The organization’s statement did not specifically mention Joe’s case, but said it changed the policy because of the larger conversation about gender identity taking place around the country.

Kristie Maldonado, Joe’s mother, said she had mixed emotions Monday night when a Boy Scouts representative called to tell her the organization would allow her son to re-enroll in his troop. Maldonado said she would like her son to rejoin the Secaucus troop, but only if the scout leader who threw him out of the troop leaves. [As I said, the demands never stop.  They will dictate every tiny detail of policy to you, until your organization is nothing but another leftist agitation group.]

She said Joe, who will turn 9 on Wednesday, has spoken publicly about the incident. She called him a “ham” and noted he had a big birthday party on Saturday with the mayor of Secaucus in attendance.  [Please never tell me there are not powerful inducements for confused  young people to get sucked into this nightmarish lifestyle.  The mayor attended her birthday party! Even though she’s so young she can have no comprehension of the consequences of her actions. Is her young body already being flooded with carcinogenic hormones to help insure she doesn’t have second thoughts?]

Speaking of powerful inducements, how many parents, possibly of a social justice warrior inclination, might be encouraging – consciously or unconsciously – their children to loathe their true nature and desire to be the sainted “other?”  There are incredibly powerful inducements at play – cultural approbation, a very high station in the pyramid of victimhood, political blandishments, the adoration of the leftist media, power to force people to take actions you desire, and a virtual “get out of jail free” card that excuses any current or future misdeeds to ethereal “bias.”  For a growing number of people, these enticements are too sweet to resist.

Will parents start abandoning the Boy Scouts en masse?  Participation has been declining for a long time, and its accelerated of late.  But given how fast the Boy Scouts – long a stalwart defender of traditional morality and beliefs – are collapsing, I’m surprised more people haven’t abandoned it  yet.  I know there are families with long associations with the Boy Scouts, who loathe to accept the rapidly changing reality and comprehend the insidious, destructive  moral collapse at work in the organization.  I’m sure they are convinced that their troop is “one of the good ones,” with no open individuals given over to these various disordered (if not actively sinful) inclinations.

But for how long? If they won’t abandon the Scouts over this, what, if anything, could possibly induce them to do so?

The organization, much like the Church, is being hollowed out from within.  We see in this a clear warning of what will happen to any organization that surrenders to the Leftist cultural zeitgeist – at least in its human element.

It leaves nothing but destruction and gravely wounded souls in its wake.

PS -All the comments directed at families above can be equally, if not more forcefully, directed at the Church in the US, which has had a long association with the Boy Scouts.  Is there any moral collapse that will induce pastors, bishops, and/or the USCCB, to finally and unequivocally cut ties?

Yes, I won’t hold my breath.

Trump’s Administration Surprisingly Catholic? January 26, 2017

Some interesting considerations in the video below.  Michael Matt examines the first few days of Trump’s administration.  He notes the somewhat surprising Catholic character of some early appointments and actions.  Homeland Security Director John Kelly made the sign of the Cross at his swearing in.  The Trump administration promises a heavy presence at the March for Life this weekend, including Vice President Mike Pence.  Some hope Trump might make a surprise appearance (I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one, but even the planned attendance marks a wonderful change from the hostility expressed by the previous administration against all things pro-life and Catholic).

Matt goes on to note the unhinged, practically demoniacal reaction against Trump among the Left in the sad, perverse march of crazed feminists and muslims the day after the inauguration.  He rightly goes on to relate how even the very definitions of things like “political extremism” and “prejudice” have been altered in recent years – it is only extremism or prejudice if it is something the left does not like or opposes.  If it’s something they support, nothing is too violent, too subversive, too damaging, to garner their support.  More and more, those on the Left and everyone else cannot even agree on basic facts, or what constitutes a fact.  The Left has it’s “facts,” which are generally simply dictums of the leftist religion, and then there’s reality.

What does the Left want more than anything else?  Sex and abortion.  But won’t islam take that away?  They don’t care.  They don’t think that far ahead.  And for the most part, they will willingly acquiesce to the call of Mohammad, should that woeful, cursed time ever come.  As Matt observes, these people are practically demonically oppressed (if not worse), and are so lost in these sins, so perverse in their thinking, they are unable to look at themselves, their beliefs, or actions, through any kind of remotely honest lens.  They are the reprobate sense, defined.

Great (rough) quote: “They don’t hate Trump.  They hate the people who voted for Trump………Anyone who would put any restrictions whatsoever on sex and on baby killing.  So long as we continue to breathe, I believe, they feel the guilt of who they aer and what they’ve become.  They’ve become like soulless animals.  They are going to get more irate and more dangerous as time moves forward.  All the noise, all the funny hats, all the foul language, are an attempt on their part to block even the faintest voice of conscience or the natural law in their lives.  If they can just get us to shut up, they can be happy again.”

The Left is willing to fight for what it wants.  Conservatives have not been.  That is why the Left has been winning for decades.  Too often, conservatives look at electoral victories and consider their job done.  Meanwhile, the Left keeps running through and subverting institution after institution.  Win or lose, they kept up the pressure at the cultural level. Now they have vast cultural power, even as their growing extremism turns off more and more relatively decent people.  If we don’t start reversing their cultural dominance, electoral victories like 2014 and 2016 may become a thing  of the past.

I’m glad that Matt notes that Leftism is a religion for these people.  They are willing to fight for theirs.  I do wish we had more souls with a similar fortitude on our side.  Present company generally excepted, but I think you know what I mean.  And heck, why not?  We work hard enough as it is, raising and providing for our families. One of the Left’s greatest advantages was to turn their activism into a paying profession.  The right has not done that to nearly the same degree, and is a major reason why we are always playing from behind.  We tend to do real work, actually making things and growing the economy, while they leach off of it, to a great extent.

Not sure how to fix that.  It’s going to take greater sacrifice on our part.  I don’t think we should ape the Left in this regard.  We should keep being makers and builders (by and large).  So we’re going to have to find ways to make up the deficit, otherwise.

I think one awesome way to do that would be for Trump to give awesome stipends to conservative, and especially Catholic, bloggers.  Not from the public till, but from his own vast resources.  Don’t you think that would be a brilliant plan?  Say, maybe, 200k a year?  For life.  Because this is a long fight, right?  No time to be chintzy.

Yeah, I’ll hold my breath.  Seriously, though, how about starting to heavily investigate the tax exempt status of many left-wing groups?  Their “charity” is often laughably transparent. That would hit them where it really hurts.  How about passing a law declaring public-sector unions illegal?  There are many ways to start chipping away at their in-built advantage.

I’m rambling.  Done.

No, I’m not.  A quick update.  Look at Trump call out the press – to a reporter’s face – for every year, for decades, failing to give the March for Life the coverage it deserves as a major annual national event:

Do you see Muir crowing about the size of the feminist march, and then having the temerity to say “I don’t want to compare crowd sizes”?!  That’s all the press did for days after the feminist march, saying it was larger than the crowds for the inauguration.

And that’s how you got Trump, and will keep him if you don’t change.

Steven Crowder Owns Feminism January 26, 2017

Sorry I’m out of time for the day.  I found out I’m getting sued over a trivial car accident, my work project I’ve spent 5 months on devolved into complete chaos and will probably be cancelled, and I took some serious grief offline for a post I did two weeks ago.   More on that, possibly, tomorrow. Did I enjoy all of this?  No, no I did not.

I’ve been busy as all get out and haven’t had time to put anything up.  But here’s a great video of Steven Crowder completely destroying the feminists at the woman’s march against teh Patriarchy and all things good and holy last Saturday.  This was from the Austin version.

There is some foul language from the protestors and a great deal of immodesty, which is thankfully blurred out.  But because the video is kind of rough I’ll just link to it and not embed it in the post.

The idiocy and banality of the Left -as if we needed more confirmation – is on full display.  Also note how adopting one of the “sainted,” aggrieved classes so approved of by the Left gives one carte blanche within their milieu.  No wonder so many souls are falling into sodomy, self-hatred, self-mutilation, etc. – it’s a ticket to instant adulation, social status, and blanket forgiveness for virtually any (leftist approved) sin.  Watch to the end to see former Texas gubernatorial Wendy Davis get completely destroyed.

Note that none of these people can form a cogent argument for why they oppose Trump with such an unhinged hatred.  They hate him simply because he is not theirs, and he made them lose. Of course, they would be doing this to anyone.  Had Cruz or, God forbid, Bush been the Republican nominee and won, we’d be told how they are Hitler and the gbiggest threat to peace and goodness, ever.  The greatest, gentlest Saint imaginable could be the president, and so long as that Saint had an (R) after their name, these people would turn him into the devil in their minds.

It has nothing to do with what Republicans do, what their policies are, it has everything to do with the fact that they kept the Left out of power.  And the Left has no more arguments anymore, after three generations of steadily worsening education and descent into mindless extremism, all they have left is stupid displays and egregious epithets.

More and more, they just look incredibly dumb.  I think there are increasing signs their act moves fewer and fewer people not in their tribe.
