[EDIT] – I substantially reworked the beginning of this post immediately after posting it. It’s deliberately more circumspect than the initial version, due to my own re-consideration.
After the crushing news of a priest participating in vile acts upon the very Altar of Sacrifice of Jesus Christ in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, I am heartbroken to relate that local Catholics, particularly those of a traditional bent, are facing revelations along a similar line. I cannot go into details in public now about the specifics, but pray now for all involved, including ourselves. Yet another cross to bear, for those who are already weighted down under a crushing load. I provide this post simply as a warning to start praying now to steel your hearts for further bad news.
For now, Taylor Marshall rightly expresses his outrage over the revelations from Pearl River, LA. I do not know if he is aware of the local scandal at this point, or not, but it seems to me that he might be, just based on a few things he says below.
Wheels have come off, and that right hard. Something has gone very wrong, and many of the laity sense it. Of course, much of this is due to the hierarchy’s generally cowardly response to COVID – heck, their cowardly leadership going back decades on essentially all matters of moral import. How many dioceses are still shut down, or largely shut down? How much Grace was missed from millions of Masses cancelled worldwide? How many priests have been given, or forced to endure, far, far too much idle time in which satan can work his evil?
Lord, what is the deal with this two thousand and twentieth year of Your Incarnation?!? Pray, let us not also be forced to bear the stealing of an election in this country, as we go through the most concentrated and bald-faced gaslighting campaign in world history! Have mercy on Your people, Lord! We know we have sinned, and continue to do so with a maniacal ferocity. Please, may Your mercy exceed Your justified wrath at this nation and Church that have so obviously and deliberately turned their backs on You. Please give us the strength to weather the coming storms. Please may Your Grace keep us and our children in the Church in spite of all the failings of those who have been given the infinite gift of a clerical office.
I am reading a truly amazing book on Martin Luther and his beliefs, called The Facts About Luther by Msgr. Patrick O’Hare LLD. This book isn’t full of Catholic opinion regarding Luther’s belief; no, it is a book literally chock full of direct, in-context quotations from the diabolical heresiarch and his twisted ideology.
Luther is a case study of the lengths to which one can fall when given over to endless pride, overarching pomposity, and intractable stubbornness. Luther was in essence a Pelagian, or wanted to be a Pelagian – someone who wanted to be so very good on his own merits, even without God’s help or Grace, which he constantly refused, that he could attain Heaven on his own efforts. For nearly a decade prior to his final break into full blown heresy in 1517, he had been warned by religious superiors and others that he was on a path towards destruction with his way, way over-the-top fastings, mortifications, penitential exercises, etc. When he finally became exhausted from this superhuman effort and realized he couldn’t attain Heaven on his own efforts, did he pause and find some humility and beg God for his aid? Of course not. From a family known for its volcanic temperament and unyielding stubbornness for many generations, he instead found blame with first God, and then the Church. It was the whole economy of salvation and system of Grace that was wrong, not Martin Luther! Of course! And so he invented the most noxious single error in the history of Christendom – justification by “faith*” alone.
Naturally, if one was saved by “faith” alone, and works were useless, then the whole system of the Law, the commission of good works and avoidance of sin, must be not just rotten but sinful and destructive of souls, as well. Thus Luther inverted the Faith and invented his own diabolical doctrine.
And of course, being one of history’s most unhinged temperaments, he compulsively attacked not just the Church, not just popes and Saints and Fathers, but even much of the Bible itself upon which he supposedly based his entire conception of the Faith! He had a special hatred for the 10 Commandments and its human transcriber, Moses.
Below I will place a number of quotes from Luther illustrating the perversity of his beliefs and, thus, the entire protestant project (which was significantly, majorly revamped during the Catholic Counter-Reformation, when great Jesuits and others like Charles Borremeo, Peter Canisius, and Francis Borgia utterly decimated Luther and Calvin’s noxious doctrine, showing how unscriptural and contrary to the early Faith it was, so that later protestants had to substantially re-Catholicize their sects in order to keep them intact).
These come from pp. 108-130 cut and paste to try to form an understandable whole.
As I said, Luther came to positively hate God when he found he could not maintain his Pelagian system of salvation by works alone: “the moral duties [the Law] enjoined were impossible of fulfillment and incited not love, but hatred of God”[speak for yourself, heresiarch]
To claim that the fulfillment of the Law is impossible is as impious as it is blasphemous, inasmuch as it imputes to God the injustice of commanding us to do something not just above our strength, but positively contrary to our eternal good. It is also contrary to Christ – “What shall I do to be saved? If thou wilt enter into life keep the Commandments” (St. Matt xix:17).
Luther further remarked regarding the 10 Commandments: “If we allow them [the Ten Commandments] any influence in our conscience, they become the cloak of all evil, heresies, and blasphemies.” Further – “That shall serve you as a true rule, that wherever the Scriptures order and command to do good works, you must so understand it that the Scriptures forbid good works.” “If you should not sin against the Gospel, then be on your guard against good works; avoid them as one avoids a pest.” [Thus, Christ is a liar and Scripture is full of impossible to penetrate, contrary meanings, and yet should be the sole rule of faith and open to the interpretation of all, and not subject to the understanding of the Church. What a crock.]
Under what circumstances is it allowable for a “man of God” and a “Reformer” to say of Moses, God’s chosen servant, that he should be looked upon “with suspicion as the worst heretic, as a damned and excommunicated person; yea, worse than the Pope and the devil?” [Such unspeakable blasphemy and boundless effrontery]
Luther again – “A pure heart enlightened by God must not dirty, soil itself with the Law. Thus let the Christian understand that it matters not whether he keeps it or not; yea, he may do what is forbidden and leave undone what is commanded, for neither is a sin.” [Counseling avoidance of virtue and welcoming of sin? – Believe me, it gets much, much worse]
“To the gallows with Moses.”
“I will not have Moses with his Law, for he is the enemy of the Lord Christ….we must put away thoughts and disputes about the Law, whenever the conscience becomes terrified and fells God’s anger against sin. Instead of that, it will be better to sing, to eat, to drink, to sleep, to be merry in spite of the devil.” [Luther constantly conflated the pangs of his conscience with the promptings of the devil. In fact, as we shall see later, Luther was very aware that he was doing satan’s work and did so without compunction]
“Poor soul, you have temptations, they must be overcome. When the devil comes to tempt and harass you with thoughts of the kind you allude to, have recourse at once to conversation, drink more freely, be jocose and playful and even indulge some sin in hatred of the evil spirit………If the “devil” [by which he really means his conscience] says to you,’Will you not stop drinking, answer him: I will drink all the more because you forbid it; I will drink great draughts in the name and to the honor of Jesus Christ.’ Imitate me. I never drink so well, I never eat so much, I never enjoy myself so well at table as when vexing the “devil” who is prepared to mock and harass me. Oh, that I could paint sin in a fair light, so as to mock the devil and make him see that I acknowledge no sin and am not conscious of having committed any! I tell you, we must put all the Ten Commandments, with which the “devil” tempts and plagues us so greatly, out of sight and out of mind. If the devil upbraids us with our sins and declares us to be deserving of death and Hell, then we must say: ‘I confess that I have merited death and hell,’ but what then? Are you for that reason to be damned eternally?……..” [Quite possibly, yes, if you do not repent and confess your sins]
“How often,” Luther said, “have I taken with my “wife” [a rebel nun who, like Luther, violated her sacred vows and simulated marriage outside the Church] those liberties which nature permits, merely in order to get rid of Satan’s temptations [that’s a pretty cold commentary on his concubine]. Yet all to no purpose, for he refused to depart; for Satan, as the author of death, has depraved our nature to such an extent that we will not admit any consolation. [I did not know satan had such power over us, at least those of us who do not give ourselves over to him. I would say, once again, Luther is speaking of his own conscience, his own guardian angel, calling him back to sanity and repentance] Hence I advise everyone who is able to drive away these Satanic thoughts by diverting his mind to do so, for instance, by thinking of a pretty girl, of money-making, or of drink, or, in fine, by means of some other vivid emotion.”
“Be a sinner, and sin boldly, but “believe” more boldly still……We must sin as long as we are what we are…..sin shall not drag us away from Him even should we commit fornication, or murder, thousands and thousands of times a day provided we only believe.” We must take Luther’s words to mean, as they manifestly indicate, a recommendation, an exhortation and an injunction to mutiny, rebellion, and disobedience to the Supreme Lawgiver, who directed all to observe and not disrespect His Commandments.
Luther counsels that sin is better than good works – “The way to Heaven is narrow; if you wish to pas through it, throw away your good works. Those pious souls, who do good to gain the Kingdom of Heaven, not only will never succeed, but they must even be reckoned among the impious; and it is more important to guard them against good works than against sin.” Thus good works, the practice of piety, and the observance of the divine Commandments – the only way, according to Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life – are in his estimation troublesome superfluities, of which Christian liberty must rid us. Rather, according to this false teacher, they are invincible obstacles to salvation if one places the least reliance upon them. “Faith alone,” said he, “is necessary for justification: nothing else is commanded or forbidden.” [but remember, it’s a false conception of faith]
Luther knew that his doctrine had led to collapse of morals among protestants and that sin, crime, social upheaval, and moral degradation had spread like wildfire in the wake of his teachings. He admitted this plainly, that is counsel to sin had been taken up, and that indeed it was primarily the license his false religion gave that was its prime selling point: “Since the downfall of Popery and the cessation of excommunications and spiritual penalties, the people have learned to despise the word of God. They care no longer for the churches; they have ceased to fear and honor God………I would wish, if it were possible, to leave these men without preacher and pastor and let them live like swine. [such noble concern for souls] There is no longer any fear or love of God among them. After throwing off the yoke of the Pope, everyone wishes to live as he pleases.” [Isn’t that exactly what you counseled them to do?]
So notorious was the debauchery of the followers of Luther that it became a common saying when persons proposed to engage in drunkenness and revelry: “We will spend the day like Lutherans.”
The new Gospel did not make Luther himself better. He said: “I confess…….that I am more negligent than I was under the Pope and there is now nowhere such an amount of earnestness under the Gospel as was formerly seen among monks and priests.” “If God,” he says, “had not closed my eyes, and if I had foreseen these scandals, I would never have begun to teach the Gospel.”[Luther was horribly inconsistent – he counseled men to sin but then lamented its effects. Basically he wanted everyone to follow him, to be proved to be always right and greater than the pope, for himself to be able to sin freely, but for everyone else to remain as holy or better than they were as Catholics. An impossible double standard.]
Finally, Luther had frequent encounters with satan, which he freely admitted, and he found that satan very much approved of his new doctrine, and somehow did not find that troubling –
Faith and good works are the only terms on which men can purchase happiness here and hereafter; every other scheme is a deceit of Lucifer to draw souls away from the love and service of God.
This statement is not made without foundation. Read Luther’s work against “The Mass and the Ordination of Priests (Erl. 31, 311 ff.) where he tells of his famous disputation with the “father of lies” who accosted him at “midnight” and spoke to him with “a deep, powerful voice,” causing “the sweat to break forth” from his brow and his “heart to tremble and palpitate.” In that celebrated conference, of which he was an unexceptionable witness and about which he never entertained the slightest doubt, he says plainly and unmistakingly that “the devil spoke against the Mass, and Mary and the Saints” and that, moreover, Satan gave him “the most unqualified approval of his doctrine on justification by faith alone.” Who now, we ask in all sincerity, can be found, except those appallingly blind to truth, to accept such a man, approved by the enemy of souls, as a spiritual teacher and entrust to his guidance their eternal welfare? [And who sold his false religion by creating a giant strawman of the Catholic Faith, so that his twisted notions would make some sense by comparison]

I would just add in conclusion – this is the man the horrid conciliar father Yves Congar knelt before in fealty, and wished to erect a statue to his wonderful works within St. Peter’s. This is the man Francis of Rome has repeatedly lionized. This is the man, and the tens of thousands of sects he has fathered, the ecumaniacs can’t wait to suborn Catholic Truth for in order to flatter. This is the man the revolutionaries within the Church have constantly lionized and sought to emulate in every possible way, probably because they are as lost in their own sins as he was, for the past several decades. The smoke of satan has entered the Church, indeed – and the man who made that statement did as much or more than anyone to allow those filthy sulfurous fumes to enter.
Before reading this book, I knew Luther was incredibly bad, that he wrought endless destruction of souls (and the material world), that he was the ultimate author of most everything wrong in the world today economically, socially, intellectually, philosophically, and morally, but I still did not know the depths of his depravity. He was quite literally, and happily, the spawn of satan. He is a tremendous warning to me of what unyielding pride and self-pity must lead to. The thing is, he knew better, he constantly kept at least a shred of his Catholic conscience, which he drowned in drink, gluttony, prurient lusts, and every other means he could think of. But still, he knew, he knew what he was doing, and sought company in eternal perdition for himself by trying to convince as many others as possible to join him.
Well that’s all I’m going to have time for today. Hope to post tomorrow on the hole the Texas bishops, and possibly even the USCCB, have dug for themselves in that Texas Right to Life mess. Such a tragedy, once again the bishops allow themselves to become the political pawns of paid bureaucrats in this nightmare bureaucracy they have unnecessarily set up, and which Pope Leo XIII explicitly warned against.
*- Even Luther’s understanding of faith was corrupt. He substituted “fiduciary faith” – a false confidence that one is saved by Christ’s merits in spite of all sin and lack of virtue – for the dogmatic faith in the saving Doctrine of Jesus Christ of the Church.
I like Marjorie Dannenfelser and the Susan B. Anthony List. They do a lot of good work. But perhaps I’ve gotten a bit jaded over the past decade-plus of pro-life activism. Leaders of pro-life institutions like the Susan B. Anthony List have had a history, one might even say made a bit of a career, out of blowing a lot of happy gas. We are frequently told abortion is just about to be defeated. This next major (really minor) legislative victory will have a huge impact and just about end legalized abortion. Etcetera, etcetera. Of course, interest groups like the SBA List feel they have to do this, to keep supporters energized and donations flowing in. And certainly, it’s hard to keep a movement organized and involved after 50 years of a legislative and judicial status quo that keeps abortion on demand at any time throughout pregnancy (and frequently at taxpayer expense) basically the law of the land. Whether they really believe all their PR, I don’t know.
On Nov. 13, The Hill reported that the FBI may [may. As in MAY] be investigating Planned Parenthood and its associates for the sale of aborted babies’ body parts for profit. It’s the latest development yet in a scandal that began in 2015 with the release of explosive undercover videos………
………The Senate Judiciary Committee and the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives spent almost one-and-a-half years conducting a national investigation, reviewing 30,000 pages of documents, and hearing hours of testimony.
They found enough evidence to refer several Planned Parenthood affiliates and tissue procurement companies for potential prosecution. Attorney General Jeff Sessions suggested that if the FBI concurs, charges might be filed. [But then, we see that the FBI and Justice Department (what the heck is Deputy Dawg Sessions doing?) lied repeatedly to Congress and kept secret for months the fact that the principle investigator of both the Clinton e-mail scandal and the now seemingly open-ended (as in endless) attempt to frame Trump for “obstruction of justice” (which is what got Nixon impeached) in the non-existent Russian collusion information op was not only an adulterer, not only a huge Clinton supporter, but also a vehement hater of Trump. That is, he was completely invested in one side and completely biased. And we’re supposed to think THIS FBI is going to honestly or effectively investigate the one of the prime bulwarks of the sexular leftist deep state apparatus, Planned Barrenhood?!? Where else will all these post-Christian pagan elitists send their daughters, or themselves, when they have an inconvenient or embarrassing pregnancy?]
Then came the second punch.
Just as news of the FBI inquiry broke, the 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals declined to revisit its ruling that the state of Arkansas can redirect Medicaid funds away from abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood, which the state is completely justified in doing considering the ongoing baby parts scandal.
These two major breakthroughs would have been inconceivable under the Obama administration, which repeatedly abused federal power to prop up the abortion industry. [Which is entirely true. It would be similarly inconceivable under a notional President Hillary. Thus, another reason why I voted for Trump, and why his election was a good thing (given the alternative).]
………But there’s a new sheriff in Washington now, and a palpable sense of terror is gripping Planned Parenthood and its camp. Without their defender-in-chief or the courts to bail them out, they are finally being held accountable. [Yes and no. Trump does have an unprecedented opportunity to remake the courts, with something like 25% of federal district court slots vacant, and nearly 17% of appellate court slots similarly open. That’s just right now. Over the course of his presidency, Trump may be able to name nearly 40% of district court justices and over 1/3 of Court of Appeals. That, coupled with many holdovers from Bush and even Reagan, may allow a solid conservative majority in the judiciary at all levels for the first time in decades, IF the Repubniks can hold onto Congress and especially the Senate. Thus, vote for Roy Moore, Alabamans]
Trump has busily set about undoing his predecessor’s destructive pro-abortion legacy. He has filled his Cabinet with pro-life officials, and has filled court vacancies with outstanding judges like Neil Gorsuch who faithfully interpret the Constitution.
Right away, Trump signed legislation (H.J. Res. 43) rolling back Obama’s parting gift to the abortion industry—something that, on a personal note, I was proud to witness in the Oval Office.
Trump’s strong commitment to pro-life policies has helped embolden state governors and legislatures. Texas has now applied to reclaim the federal funding it was denied under the last administration. South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster in August successfully defunded Planned Parenthood and requested a waiver from the Trump administration so that the state can do the same with Medicaid, which is where the abortion business gets most of its taxpayer funding. [Yep, because abortions cost way more than contraception, and it is laughably easy to get a doctor, especially a Planned Butcherhood doctor, to assert that an abortion is “medically necessary,” and thus covered by Medicaid. I have personally spoken with scores, maybe hundreds of abortion-seekers who have stated paying for the murder of their child is no problem, as you and I are paying for it.]
The next step is for the Trump administration to issue new guidance to the states restoring their freedom to prioritize Medicaid funds the way they believe will best serve their citizens. The administration must be prepared to defend that policy vigorously should the case go to the Supreme Court.
The pro-life majorities in both houses of Congress should also fulfill their promise to redirect half a billion dollars in annual taxpayer funding away from Planned Parenthood……
I won’t hold my breath on that last bit.
Yes, there’s a lot of good news, but Planned Murderhood has shown itself uniquely – practically diabolically – resistant to bad PR, incredibly damning undercover revelations, and even proof of wanton law-breaking in the past. As I said, PP is one of the Leftist coalition’s most critical members. They would jettison almost anything else before losing the right to murder inconvenient children. While these are happy developments, I would not go prognosticating that Planned Parenthood is about to meet it’s demise, or is even coming under heavy threat. It’s all mostly speculation at this point, and that group seems to have a particularly powerful set of demons watching over it.

If you want to figure out what evils, what dirty tricks, what law-breaking the DNC and the Left generally are most involved in, most committed to, and which they feel is both one of their most powerful tools of malfeasance as well as one of the greatest dangers to their position of power, just look at what they accuse the other side of.
And it’s not just this fake (and frankly stupid, and disgusting) dossier contrived by a deep state apparatchik – it’s also things like the Harvey Weinstein scandal and the emerging masses of reports indicating that many leftist men, who constantly reproach normal men for their “toxic masculinity” and hateful, antiquated views towards women, are, in fact, serial rapists and abusers of women themselves. I felt this “Trump pee-party dossier” thing was a massive redirect and information op from the beginning. And indeed, that’s finally, painfully slowly, what has been revealed.
How deep this goes is anyone’s guess. It is already known the Obama administration, through its wholly corrupt and politicized Eric Holder/Loretta Lynch InJustice Department, is knee deep in this scandal. How far up the chain of command involvement goes is easy to guess by how furiously the Dems are trying to prevent further investigation of not only Fusion GPS, but also the very strange scandal of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’ muslim former IT admin, who happened to abscond with several terabytes of classified data from now totally wiped computer hard drives. The dems have been using all their power to keep that data from being subpoenaed………why? What will it show? Will it show, for instance, Obama’s direct involvement in the 2016 presidential election and deep corruption/collusion with the Russian government?
Why did the democrat establishment react like spurned lovers when Russia became involved in Ukraine in 2014? We heard more bellicose war talk, even up to and including a full-on invasion/nuclear exchange, from leading democrats after Russia illegally invaded and continues to occupy large parts of the Ukraine. Democrats normally wouldn’t give two blanks about something like that, but they totally lost their minds. Is it because they felt like Putin had backstabbed them on a massive quid pro quo involving billions of dollars in kickbacks and massive undermining of US national security, a la the “Uranium One” deal?
These guys are in a full on blind panic. They went all-in, well past the point of Watergate and into commission of probably hundreds of felonious offenses, to insure Hillary’s election. Is that not just because they wanted their side to win, but because they knew if someone outside the Deep State apparatchiks was elected, it might blow the lid off their decade-plus run of unbelievable corruption, treason, and wholesale lack of care for the good of the United States and, much more importantly, the ordinary run of the mill citizen?
I don’t think we have any idea how deep this goes, or just what was sold or compromised, but the Left will inevitably tells us (some) as they try another redirect against Trump and conservatives generally.
And it’s not just Obama. This Deep State/Leftist penetration of power and solidification began under Clinton, became entrenched under the (laughably inept and tone deaf) Bush 43 (thanks for giving your stalwart supporters a great big middle finger the other day, we sure appreciate it! Guess we know where your loyalties lie. Skull n Bones take care of their own, no?), and reached apotheosis under Obama. I don’t know whether it is even possible at this point to deconstruct it.
Back to the rampant sexual abuse on the Left, up to and including massive pedophilia rings in their centers of power (just HOW many times did Clinton dump the Secret Service and fly to pedophile island?), Corey Feldman threatened to start naming names in Hollywood, and all of a sudden he gets slapped with a marijuana possession charge. In CALIFORNIA?!?
The scandals are coming so thick and fast they are overwhelming, as, indeed, they are intended to be. Scandals 10 times the importance and scope of Watergate pass by almost daily now, with the bought-n-paid for corporate/Deep State media telling us “nothing to see here.” Or simply refusing to cover this at all.
But none of this should be surprising. The fact that presidents of the United States colluded with global adversaries, repeatedly sold out the American people, and placed national security at grave risk in order to feather their nests to the tune of hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars, is exactly what one would expect from a cohort of people who have made their rejection of God and His Law, their very public despising of the Church and everything it stands for, the core part of their message and their very being.
This is what comes from an “elite” that rejects God and Our Savior Jesus Christ. Pagan societies always devolve into endless self-aggrandizement, corruption, and wholesale ineffectiveness/incompetence. People devoid of any sense of a law greater than themselves feel zero compunction over robbing citizens blind, colluding with deadly enemies, raping little children and forever destroying their sacred innocence, or the wholesale slaughter of very nearly 1 in 3 babies conceived in this nation over the past 44 years. Indeed, the last point is the most telling – abortion has brought a curse down upon America, and, most particularly, on those “elites” who have done the most to keep it legal and the blood sacrifices to satan flowing.
Surely the apparatchiks, after reading the last two paragraphs, just an unhinged screed!, would conclude that I am an extremist, I am totally whacked and just totally unworthy of any credit.
But that, again, is the point. The elites subscribe to an inveterately hostile, alien religion, which I call sexular paganism. It is simply the latest manifestation of the false religion of leftist secular humanism which tries to put man in the place of God. Christianity and sexular paganism are completely irreconcilable. Adherents to one cannot be adherents of the other. One must choose between God and Mammon.
Incredibly, historically, philosophically, theologically, and historically speaking, the Church has played a huge role in the ascendance of sexular paganism among the cultural elites. By surrendering all the firm dictates and sublime, impervious moral and theological aspects of the “bad old faith” (e.g., “razing the bastions”), Church leadership not only left the Church open to further penetration by the forces of sexular paganism, but gave many wavering souls both perfect cover, and the perfect excuse, to make the final, irrevocable choice between God and Mammon. By utterly neutering the Church’s unique power and voice, that leadership – some of which consisted of double agents of Mammon, but much of which were simply men to weak to resist – the choice of God or Mammon was made elementary, obvious for millions of lost souls, especially those with great ambitions and access to all the “delights” of power, money, and renown the world can offer.
It was a slam dunk. So, the wind has been sown, and we are now reaping the whirlwind. I wish I could posit a happy outcome for all this, but all I can foresee is ever increasing calamity, chaos, and confusion culminating in collapse (and that awesome alliteration alone is worth the price of the post). Trump is great as a hopeful sign, but I fear the process has gone on much too long, and the rot is far too deep, for any man, or any series of men, to correct. Lord, that I may be wrong, because I have a lot of love left for this country, or what it used to be, and my children and (pray God) grandchildren shall have to live here.

He explains the problem, but gives many reasons to stay in the fight, and to hold out hope for a restoration of this country along constitutional lines. I’m not overly sanguine on the likelihood of his effort being successful, but perhaps he gives some reasons to hope.

And, beyond that, features himself in what is an obviously perverse and blasphemous work of “art.” Paglia is one of several well known extreme modernist bishops from the Italian episcopate that have experienced a rapid rise during Francis’ pontificate. Particularly shocking is the fact that this same archbishop who seems to tip his hand quite obviously regarding his own proclivities and, quite probably, extracurricular activities, has been made the president of the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family and the head of the Pontifical Academy for Life. These appointments are part of a clear trend under the current Bishop of Rome to grant cover and partronage to the sodomite underworld prevalent in the clery, as Francis’ recent rollbacks of penalties put into place for priest sex abuse have helped underscore.
Many wondered how Francis would deal with this lavendar mafia. Little did they know the several-hundred page dossier on pervert priests compiled under Benedict would be used by Francis as recommendations for promotions and advancement. Of course, given the tight correlation between sodomy and hatred for the constant belief and practice of the Faith, it is probable that much of Francis’ most fervent support within the episcopate comes from those lost in this reprobate lifestyle. In spite of the fact that this archbishop and his painting were very controversial within Italy, Francis has still seen fit to give him two plum and highly influential assignments, both centering on what appears to all the world to be an attempt to undermine and ultimately destroy the moral edifice of the Faith:
The archbishop now at the helm of the Pontifical Academy for Life paid a homosexual artist to paint a blasphemous homoerotic mural in his cathedral church in 2007. The mural includes an image of the archbishop himself.
The archbishop, Vincenzo Paglia, was also recently appointed by Pope Francis as president of the Pontifical Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family.
The massive mural still covers the opposite side of the facade of the cathedral church of the Diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia. It depicts Jesus carrying nets to heaven filled with naked and semi-nude homosexuals, transsexuals, prostitutes, and drug dealers, jumbled together in erotic interactions.
Included in one of the nets is Paglia, the then diocesan bishop. The image of the Savior is painted with the face of a local male hairdresser, and his private parts can be seen through his translucent garb.According to the artist, a homosexual Argentinean named Ricardo Cinalli who is known for his paintings of male bodies, Bishop Paglia selected him out of a list of ten internationally-known artists specifically for the task of painting the inner wall of the facade. Bishop Paglia, along with one Fr. Fabio Leonardis, oversaw every detail of Cinalli’s work, according to Cinalli, who approvingly notes that Paglia never asked him if he believed in the Christian doctrine of salvation.
“Working with him was humanly and professionally fantastic,” Cinalli told the Italian newspaper LaRepubblica in March of last year. “Never, in four months, during which we saw each other almost three times each week, did Paglia ever ask me if I believed in salvation. He never placed me in an uncomfortable position.” [Of course not! We wouldn’t want to disrupt all that pleasant “accompaniment” and “welcoming” with any talk of such a minor and trivial subject as the state of one’s eternal soul!]
“There was no detail that was done freely, at random,” added Cinalli. “Everything was analyzed. Everything was discussed. They never allowed me to work on my own.” [Ergo, Paglia endorsed every portion of the monstrosity, which you can view below]
Cinalli admits to La Repubblica that the naked people in the nets are meant to be “erotic,” although Bishop Paglia drew the line when Cinalli proposed to show people actually copulating.“In this case, there was not – in this sense – a sexual intention, but erotic, yes,” said Cinalli. “I think that the erotic aspect is the most notable among the people inside the nets.” He later added, “The one thing that they didn’t permit me to insert was the copulation of two people within this net where everything is permitted.” [In a sane Church, this artist would never have been considered. This is the reduction of the Church to mere platform for the advancing of worldly left-wing ideals and, more importantly, the personal vanity of an unworthy prelate.]The reason he wasn’t allowed to be so explicit, says Cinalli, is that his painting had already done enough to demonstrate the notion that man has “freedom” in this life and even in the next, apparently to engage in whatever sexual behavior he deems appropriate. “The bishop and Fr. Leonardis . . . told me that they didn’t think it was necessary to arrive at that extreme to demonstrate the freedom that man, in reality, has in this world and in the next.” [Orwellian. Slavery is freedom. God condones sodomy, prostitution, and drug use in “heaven.” Please. All this does is reveal to total immorality of Paglia, the priests involved, and the artist. It says nothing to anyone about God, sin, redemption, the human condition, etc.]
The article then goes on to note how Paglia has moved to undermine the Doctrine of the Faith on numerous occasions since his pontifical appointments, including this:
In July of 2016, still under the direction of Paglia, the Pontifical Council for the Family issued a new sex-ed program that includes lascivious and pornographic images so disturbing that one psychologist suggested that the archbishop be evaluated by a review board in accordance with norms of the Dallas Charter, which are meant to protect children from sexual abuse.
The images in question, which, quite frankly, are of an amateur level of quality and boringly progressive in their message. I wish these geriatric progressive perverts would understand just how tired and predictable their attempts at shocking have become (beware these images contain nudity and are, as stated above, obviously intended to be erotic:

Yes there are drug dealers and prostitutes and people obviously getting it on if out and out penetration is not show. SOOOO appropriate for a church and children. And yet Francis has seen fit to install this man over pontifical departments dedicated to upholding the family and the sanctity of life.
Wow. You might find the video below as intriguing as I did. It covers the early part of George Wallace’s 1968 election campaign as a third party candidate. Later he chose the often unfairly maligned Curtis E. LeMay for his running mate.
It’s interesting what is and isn’t discussed in the video, which I believe was produced by a friendly Alabama TV station. Segregation is never directly addressed – which of course had been a huge part of Wallace’s political past (though leftists might hear a “dog whistle” in repeated appeals to law and order) – but then neither is Vietnam. What is discussed may sound eerily familiar to you, as it did to me. Many of the same concerns that resulted in Trump’s election were being voiced by millions of Americans (Wallace got 14% of the vote and won several southern states) fifty years ago: horror at liberal overreach, grave concern over an increasingly totalitarian judiciary pushing an always leftist agenda, an increasing sense that individual liberties were being steadily curtailed. Hey, 60s people, wait till you get a load of cultural marxism/political correctness! Are any of you Wallace supporters still around?!
May dad had an AuH20 (Goldwater in that very atomic time) sticker on his car in ’64, but voted for Nixon in ’68. West Texas used to be covered in billboards demanding the impeachment of both Johnson and Earl Warren. Those early efforts were sadly unsuccessful, and now we’re much further down the line of leftist totalitarianism, being perhaps one presidential administration away from the final demise of the “American experiment.” Fortunately, that did not come to pass, at least, in 2016. But it might in 2020, if Trump cannot roll much of this leftist agenda back.
Wallace, of course, did not earn much Catholic support. Jim Crow segregationists -and he had definitely been one – had little more love for Catholics than they did for blacks. Catholics returned the sentiment, in general. It is surprising that Wallace did attract quite a bit of support outside the South, as the video makes clear. Numerous Americans were disgusted by Johnson and exceedingly concerned over what was then the still quite nascent advance of cultural marxism and leftism in our country. Whatever Wallace was, and I’m certainly no big student of him, he seemed to appeal to developing and broad-ranging concern that America had gotten badly off-track and was in danger of becoming lost. Reagan would tap into this same sentiment to great success in 1980, finally gaining wide crossover support from Catholics for a Republican nominee.
No I am not endorsing Wallace or some of his more unfortunate views in posting this. It is to me a highly revealing time capsule of an America that was, which ain’t nearly so different as we might have thought it would be from today. If you’ve got 30 or 60 minutes to invest, I think it’s worth your time. Wallace certainly did recognize some of the gravest threats this republic faced then and now, and articulated them quite well. Of course, a few years later, after being shot in 1972, he would reverse many of these opinions and become much more liberal. Nevertheless I think this has some value from both the historical perspective and from a sociological point of view, in terms of comprehending just how long and deep the same concerns that led to Trump’s media-aided emergence in 2016 have existed. I tell you what, it is almost mind-blowing to see George Wallace packing halls in, of all places, San Francisco!! – California used to be a fairly conservative state until the invasion of illegal immigrants and burned out hippy summer of love leftovers totally remade that state’s demographics.
If you want to save time I think you can get a good feel for the whole by just watching the first 10 or 15 minutes. After that it does become a bit more repetitive.
UPDATE: Wallace took some stands that most people today find appalling. His “segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever” seems unfathomable. Of course, he was always more a populist than a true segregationist – that portion of the Alabama white populace that elected him in ’64 wanted segregation to persist, so Wallace became that group’s champion. As desegregation became inevitable Wallace jettisoned that rhetoric quickly, and as I noted, in later life wholly repudiated those policy positions.
Having said that, LBJ, often lauded as a civil rights pioneer, is widely reported to have said, regarding the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and the creation of the welfare state – “we’ll have the niggars voting for us (the democrats) for 200 years.” This was part and parcel with a racism inherent within much of the democrat party that I think, in much more subtle but possibly more destructive ways, persists to this day. Of course, virtually everyone has forgotten that all of those measures required strong Republican support to pass Congress, as the democrat party was badly split on those issues. Interesting how that works out, the democrats have always reaped the electoral rewards of these stands taken in the 60s today, to the extent that the entire Republican party, or merely to vote Republican, is considered irretrievably racist by the Black Lives Matters movement and others dedicated to the furtherance of Democrat political interests. The current Republican president is being presented as history’s biggest monster simply because he exists, not because of anything he’s actually done, which isn’t much, yet. This is the new normal for Republicans going forward. The media-government complex (those Wallace lambasted as “pseudo-intellectuals”) cannot be destroyed soon enough.
Meanwhile, democrats continue to cultivate a virtual plantation where they keep minorities voting reliably for them even as those same minorities cultural, moral, and even economic situation continues to horribly deteriorate as a deliberate result of democrat-leftist policies. Someone will write a great comic tragedy someday, some great masterpiece of literature, if such things still exist 100 years from now, covering exactly this comedy of errors. It would be unbelievably if it were not true.
I’d say that’s about right. The article below details recent muslim atrocities against Christians around the world, focusing on the near total destruction of the ancient Christian communities of Assyria, which were all but obliterated by the invasion of ISIS into this region in 2014. Now that ISIS is being forced out of Assyria in a very half-hearted, desultory manner, some Christians are returning to relate the horrors they experienced at the hands of this terror group, which the US originally helped back and arm when it was thought, among our unqualified, really dumb “elites,” that ‘anybody but Assad’ was an appropriate policy for Syria and the Mideast:
Reports of Christian life under the Islamic State (ISIS) continued throughout November. Many of these came from the ancient Christian towns surrounding Mosul, such as Batnaya and Qaraqosh, conquered by ISIS in August, 2014, and liberated in late October, 2016.
One Christian man, Esam, from Qaraqosh, related what ISIS did after his sister’s husband refused to convert to Islam: “He was crucified and tortured in front of his wife and children, who were forced to watch. They [ISIS] told him that if he loved Jesus that much, he would die like Jesus.” The Islamic militants tortured his brother-in-law from 6 in the evening until 11: “[T]hey cut his stomach open and shot him before leaving him hanging, crucified.” Two other members of Esam’s family, a Christian couple, were abducted and separated by ISIS. To this day, the husband does not know where his wife is; he only knows that she was turned into a concubine, a sex-slave…….
………Another handful of Christians told how they “were threatened, forced to spit on a crucifix or convert to Islam,” but they “miraculously survived more than two years under Islamic State group rule.”……
……..Before being driven out of these now-liberated Christian towns around Mosul, ISIS plantedexplosive devices in teddy bears and toys that would be detonated when children picked them up, “killing unsuspecting families.”
Those who survived ISIS, accused former U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama of doing nothing when Iraq’s largest Christian city, Qaraqosh, fell to the Islamic terrorists more than two years ago, when its Christian population was over 50,000. One man said, “Obama has never helped the Christians. In fact, he despises them. In the last 26 months, he has shown he despises all of them. But we have hope in the new president, Trump.” A Catholic priest said: “The US government led by President Obama could have protected us – or at least helped us to protect ourselves. But unfortunately Obama abandoned us.” A young girl wearing a cross added: “We hope this new guy called Trump will help us more than Obama did.” [I would add, given the scale of the tragedy, Francis and the Church at large have been far too silent on the horrific persecutions Christians and Catholics in particular are suffering around the world]
Hey, muslims take care of their own. I know with complete certitude that Obama is no Christian, and I believe the evidence that he is either a practicing muslim or overwhelmingly sympathetic to them is overwhelming.
The article goes on to list an amazing list of atrocities perpetrated by muslims against Christians, which all occurred in one month, November 2016. There are over 20 separate attacks listed, and this list is most likely quite partial.
If one didn’t know better, you’d almost think there’s a religiously motivated war going on, but thank goodness, we know that’s not the case. Francis has told us so, even going so far as to claim that there is no such thing as “muslim terror.”
Francis will probably be dead and buried before the folly of his interreligious fantasizing really becomes apparent, with large sections of Europe being overrun by the forces of islam. Whether Rome will be one of those remains to be seen, but given the large and increasingly radical “refugee” populace there, the Church’s ancient home may eventually become untenable. That seems unthinkable, but given the trends abroad in the world, the unthinkable is becoming increasingly likely.
Just some data to confirm what you already knew: the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which probably did some good and helpful work decades ago in helping to undermine and eliminate the legacy of the Jim Crow South, long ago became just another corrupt agent of leftist agitprop. More specifically, they’re simply another attack wing of the demonrat party, trading on the good name and legacy they built up decades ago to engage in nakedly biased, partisan political attacks.
And typical for politically favored institutional attack dogs, their attacks are typically based on outright falsehoods and incredibly manipulated “data.” As a for instance, in the wake of Trump’s election – and frankly mere days after the event – the SPLC claimed that “attacks” against muslims had skyrocketed, as had the number of anti-muslim “hate” groups.
How did this horrible outbreak of persecution occur? By broadcasting doubtful, or even inventing, incidents (many of which have been very publicly debunked) and listing things like billboards and individuals who hold beliefs the very far left SPLC finds wrong as being purveyors of “hate,” even if these beliefs are held by a large majority of Americans. FrontPageMag has catalogued a partial list of some of their recent inventions and false condemnations of largely innocent people, who simply happen to think differently than they do, and it’s an amazing compilation:
“Huge Growth in Anti-Muslim Hate Groups During 2016: SPLC Report,” wails NBC News. “Watchdog: Number of anti-Muslim hate groups tripled since 2015,” FOX News bleats. ABC News vomits up this word salad. “Trump cited in report finding increase in US hate groups for 2nd year in a row.”
And you won’t believe the shameless way the SPLC faked its latest Islamophobia crisis.
The Southern Poverty Law Center’s latest “hate group” sightings claims that the “number of anti-Muslim hate groups increased almost three-fold in 2016.”
That’s a lot of folds.
And there is both bad news and good news from its “Year in Hate and Extremism.”
First the good news.
Casa D’Ice Signs, the sign outside a bar in K-Mart Plaza in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, is no longer listed as a hate group. The sign outside the bar had been listed as a hate group by the SPLC for years. The owner of Casa D’Ice had been known for putting politically incorrect signs outside his bar. So the SPLC listed the “signs” as a hate group. (Even though there was only one sign.) Not the bar. That would have made too much sense.
Since then Casa D’Ice was sold and the SPLC has celebrated the defeat of another hate group. Even if the hate group was just a plastic sign outside a bar.
But the bad news, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, is that anti-Muslim hate groups shot up from only 34 in 2015 to 101 in 2016.
What could possibly account for that growth? Statistical fakery so fake that a Vegas bookie would weep…….
…….The SPLC decided to count 45 chapters of Act for America as separate groups.
How do you get a sudden rise from 34 to 101 hate groups? It helps to suddenly add 45 chapters of one group. Act for America isn’t a hate group. It’s also just as obviously not 45 groups.
Act for America was only listed as one group in the 2015 list. It shot up to 45 now.
Furthermore Act for America boasts not 45, but 1,000 chapters across the country. Why list just 45 of them? Look at it from the SPLC’s perspective. Next year, it can add 200 chapters and claim that anti-Muslim hate groups once again tripled. And then it can do the same thing again the year after that……..
……..[T]he SPLC makes a point of highlighting the locations of likely terrorist targets. [People who oppose radical islam, for instance, or who uphold traditional morality] And the Southern Poverty Law Center’s map of hate has been used by terrorists before.
“Southern Poverty Law lists anti-gay groups. I found them online,” Corkins later confessed to the FBI.
When Leo Johnson, the building’s African-American manager, attempted to stop Corkins, the SPLC shooter told Johnson that he didn’t like his politics and opened fire. The SPLC gunman had planned to kill everyone in the office, but Johnson’s heroic actions saved their lives. The African-American building manager was forced to undergo painful surgeries because of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s hate list.
Despite its role in the terror attack, the SPLC continues to target the Family Research Council.
None of the so-called “Anti-Muslim hate groups” listed by the SPLC have shot anyone. The SPLC has……
……..But there is one barrier to being listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
No amount of overt anti-Semitism from CAIR’s Nihad Awad would ever get the Islamist hate group listed as a hate group. Even CAIR’s flirtation with Neo-Nazis and Holocaust deniers can’t get it on the hate map. The SPLC collaborated with the Muslim Public Affairs Council despite its anti-Semitism.
The Southern Poverty Law Center is greedy, cynical and dishonest.
Shorter post – the SPLC are thoroughgoing leftists who trade on the name and sufferings of those who truly fought discrimination and unjust persecution in order to advance leftism. If a person or group leans left, or is perceived as being part of the leftist coalition, as muslims are (even though muslims would destroy them, and take away so much of the sexual license leftists purport to love), they can literally do no wrong. If a person or group (or sign) is perceived as standing in opposition to leftism, they can do no right, and the SPLC will be quite happy to unjustly tar that individual as some kind of hate-mongerer, if they hold beliefs counter to the religion of sexualized secular paganism. It’s a travesty what they are allowed to do, but it’s part and parcel of the Left here and throughout the West.
Indeed, the SPLC has long listed traditional Catholic groups like the SSPX as “extremist” and supposedly guilty of one bad “-ism” or another. That’s because traditional Catholics uphold morals and decency, and those things are bad, because large parts of the leftist coalition would get bad feelz if someone “judged” their sodomizing or adulterating. They also have listed anti-abortion groups as “hate groups.” Soooo………they’re bad. Finis.

What a hateful example of humanity. I am actually not in the slightest surprised that this unhinged, fascist leader of violent riots is a school teacher. As reader TT notes, she is the ultimate advertisement for homeschooling. It is unsurprising given the unthinking, feelz-dominated, immature, ignorant propagandized product the public schools are turning out en masse. Certainly there are exceptions, but this creature Yvette Felarca destroys herself as the very incarnation of the very things she alleges to decry.
I’ve never seen a more perfectly realized example of leftist projection of their own faults and evils onto others:
Fascism is committing violence and organizing others to commit violence, as she commits violence and organizes others to do so. So she also gives perfect evidence of most Leftist’s perfect lack of self-awareness. Hypocrite, much? What should we expect from people who are passionately committed to the demonic slaughter (and offering) of millions of innocent babies a year?
In reality, at all of Milo’s events where violence has occurred, that violence has been perpetrated overwhelmingly, almost exclusively, by leftist opponents of Milo and his fans. The primary bit of evidence of supposed violence against leftist opponents of Milo – a man being shot outside a talk given at the University of Washington – was an act taken in self-defense after a man was beaten by Milo opponents, which the local police have seen as being so clear cut that the man who committed the shooting has not even been charged with a crime in hyper-liberal, institutionalized 2nd Amendment hating Washington state.
No one on the right is calling for the mass murder of millions of people, but the fact that this chillingly calm woman believes such is occurring gives me great concern, as I have to wonder if she is not yet again projecting her personal desires onto others. When you start tarring millions of people as Nazis, the climate is being created for mass violence against them.
And Milo – whatever he is, whether you like him or not – may be a provocateur, he may derive great pleasure in exploding the sacred cows of the Left, but his talks are actually extremely thoughtful, fact-filled, and persuasive. It is most likely this woman who so plainly hates him has listened to more than a couple of 30 second soundbites of Milo’s talks. But that doesn’t matter in the least, it is precisely Milo’s persuasiveness that makes him such a threat, which is why he and his followers must be destroyed at all costs. Of course, telling kids they can’t have something is the perfect way to get them to want it even more, so this effort has already backfired.
There is no doubt in my mind that we are seeing an incredibly carefully orchestrated effort to destroy the Trump administration before it starts. The furor over the minor and temporary travel restrictions on citizens of certain states, the firing of Mike Flynn engineered through the illegal and dangerous leaking of deeply classified resources, the delay in approving presidential appointments of eminently qualified people, and the ever-ready, instantaneous and media-saturated “spontaneous protests” against every action Trump takes, and every appearance of a Trump supporter, points to a detailed, well-funded, highly organized effort being directed by people with the means and resources to bring such things about. This is the elite in full blown revolt over this election, and they are demonstrating they have absolutely zero concern over seeing innocent Americans injured or even killed if they happen to get in their way, or simply caught at the wrong place and the wrong time.
This is deeply disturbing stuff. There hasn’t been such open opposition from the permanent (and thoroughly leftist) federal bureaucracy to a legitimately elected president in this country’s history. Forget Flynn, do you think leftist protestors carrying blunt objects (banned from flight – and people were beaten inside airports with no security intervention) would be allowed to penetrate deeply into numerous airports without some kind of inside help? That all looked arranged!
I’m running out of time but this is looking increasingly worse. I don’t like where it appears things are headed. If large numbers of people start to develop the sense that democracy has failed, that leaders they elected to institute changes/reforms are blocked by a self-serving, self-interested elite, the same elite that has openly broached the topic of violence in the streets by engaging in/encouraging it themselves……..well, situations like that do not tend to end happily. I am far from the only one reading very troubling implications in all this. And it’s likely only the beginning, the deep state/overstate whatever you want to call it has shown their hand, they mean not only to destroy Trump’s presidency, but to kill or jail him outright.

As Ace notes, if the other side keeps throwing sucker punches at peaceful protesters, it won’t be long before our side – more numerous, certainly better armed and trained – starts to do the same. What then? Will it just be another round of escalation to out and out armed conflict? Can militantly atheistic/socialistic people exist with millions of God-fearing people? Should we want them to?

Protesters at Portland International Airport in Oregon attacked a Donald Trump supporter on Sunday, knocking him unconscious after repeatedly hitting him in the head.
Protests have broken out at airports across the U.S. over the past few days after President Trump signed an executive order temporarily halting refugees and citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the country over terrorism fears.
Grant Chisholm, 39, of Portland, Ore. was at the airport with three other members of the group Bible Believers for a counter-protest on Sunday.
During the protest, Chisholm was hit in the head three times “with something metallic” by one of the demonstrators protesting against Trump, the Oregonian reported.
The incident was caught on video and uploaded to Facebook by the group Women for Trump Movement. The video shows Chisholm falling to the ground after another man appears to punch him in the head.
After Chisholm falls to the ground, two men lean over him to protect him from further blows to the head, the video shows. Eventually security appears to manage the situation.
In the background of the video, some protestors can be heard shouting “Peace” while others taunt an unconscious Chisholm.
One protester can be heard calling Chisholm a “Nazi Boy” and another man can be heard yelling “your boy got knocked out.”

Not to be a jerk about it, but the division between the two sides extends even to appearance.
Leftists and their allies are claiming today that to be a conservative equals being a very, very bad person. Is this yet another case of their projecting their true estimation of themselves onto others? Are these “good people” out there vulgarly, violently protesting (often for pay)?
I did not think I would see this nation come to this pass during my lifetime. It is shocking how rapidly things seem to be falling apart (and I recognize that much of this “primal scream” of the Left is centrally planned and directed astroturf, but it remains nonetheless).
I did get myself a little something for Christmas:
