That’s it, I’m done April 1, 2014

This is it, my last post as a Catholic blogger. I’ve tried to keep up a brave front, but I simply cannot stand it anymore. I can’t stand all the scandal, all the failures, all the abuses. I’m tired of fighting.
Nope, I’m done, and I’m going back to where I belong, back to good old protestantism. At least there, I can find some pastor just like me who will tell me what I want to hear, all wrapped up in the warm warming fuzzy sweet sweet embrace of private interpretation. We can pick and parse Scripture down till it reflects just what we want it to. Heck, I might even become a pastor myself. That way, I don’t have to agree with ANYONE on what the good book says, just what the Lord Jesus reveals to ME.
I know this seems rather sudden, but I’ve been thinking about it for a looooong time. Hours, at least. I know that’s where Jesus, my Lord and Savior, wants me to be. Isn’t it amazing when the Holy Spirit guides you to make those easy choices, rather than encouraging you to continue the fight?!? I just ripped John 6 out of all my Bibles, along with Maccabees, Tobias, James chapter 2, etc. Don’t need any “apocrypha!”
Another great benefit to my decision is that now I’ll be the beneficiary of all kinds of ecumenical outreach, rather than being one of those despised and ignored neo-pelagian restorationists!
Now I’m free, free to be me! I wonder how many people will join me in my gay-friendly (oh, yeah, forgot to mention, tired of fighting on that, too, easier (and much more lucrative$$$) to just go along) radical traditional protestant sect, with simulation pretend offering availability of the Sacraments? I mean sacraments, both of them.
Well, it’s been quite a journey. I’ve made a lot of friends along the way, but they’ll all have to be bitter enemies now that I’m switching teams. Again. Because it’s all about me.
Toodaloo, I expect this life-shaking change to affect me for at least the next 16 hours or so.
Rock on, my good former co-religionist readers.
And, oh yeah, I almost forgot……have a happy April Fool’s Day.

My heart stopped. Made it through the first paragraph. Didn’t want to read on. Couldn’t go on. Just stared at the screen. And then I realized it was April Fools Day.
Whew!
Ohhh…….I overdid it?
I think it was actually one of my favorites for the day! Once my heart restarted I read to the last bit. Looking forward to next year! I’ll be prepared, you won’t get me next time!

You want an Oneness Pentecostal church, not a protestant assembly. Trinitarian churches do not provide remission of sin.

Whew, you had me going for a minute there too! But the more I read, the more it became evident……..the punch line is at the bottom:) and it IS after all April Fool’s Day. I could NEVER leave the true Church of Christ, but there are days…..when I am so totally disgusted with some of our “wayward sons” that I take a hiatus from it all. Don’t go online, hardly watch or read the news except for headlines, I just take a break, so I was hoping that you hadn’t gone over the edge completely!

You had me panicked all the way up to the last sentence!!! The “April Fools” line has never before brought me such relief!!!
Hahahahaha! I knew it right away from your title! There’s NO way you will ever walk away from the truth! Otherwise, your whole blog has been nothing but a fake, fraud and phony!! Looking forward to reading your post tomorrow! And I don’t even live anywhere close to Dallas!!

I almost left out the giveaway line, and was going to leave you in suspense until today, but I figured, that would be too much.
Maybe the whole thing is a bad idea, I toyed with several fools yesterday but that’s the one I went with. The others were so over the top they would have been obvious.
You can blame this on Fr. Z, he had one years ago that got tons of people and I’ve determined to try to live up to his example ever since.
Oh dear… Saw the headline and panicked! But quickly knew this had to be a joke…. Praise God it was. 🙂

Wow, you got me pretty good! My heart started to race. You’re blog has awaken me and my knowledge of the fullness of the Catholic faith. I know the Holy Spirit guided me to your blog. I’m not so good with articulation of my thoughts, but I do pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to give you strength to share your thoughts, resources and knowledge of the true Church established by Jesus.
