John Vennari passed away today.   A nice memorial from The Fatima Center Youtube account:

He was a devout soul.  God bless him.  May he rest in peace.

SAD DAY!!! I have enjoyed so many of his talks on CD. He was such an engaging — and funny — speaker. I probably learned more from him about the Catholic Faith than almost any other source (except perhaps this blog). He will be missed. Prayers and love to his wife and children!!i Rest in peace John Vennari.

Thanks John for your work and the laughs! What good is life without a sense of humor?

I think I heard this parody before. RIP, and may light perpetual shine upon him.

My impression is that he was an SSPX’er, or at least sympathetic to that movement, which I thought was excommunicated. I understand he suffered much at the end and took awhile to pass — at least that is my impression from the headlines at Canon 212 and at The Remnant. I have to be honest and say I wondered whether it was the Lord’s way of giving him extra time to repent. Perhaps he was just invincibly ignorant.
