Canadian Gov’t to Steal Children from Home if Parent’s Don’t “Accept” Their “Gender Identity” June 8, 2017

Whatever those loaded terms mean.

If you like your kids, you can keep your kids, provided you do and think and say everything the almighty state commands at every instant.  And no, this is not much of an exaggeration, with Ontario – whose laws almost always wind up being put into place at the national level in the People’s Republic of Canadia – now passing a law that says children may be removed from a home if parents do not “accept” – and who gets to decide the terms of that acceptance?!? – their child’s new “gender identity,” no matter how flighty, bizarre, peer-pressure-induced, or destructive it may be:

A Canadian province has passed a law that gives rights to the government to take away children from families that don’t accept their kid’s chosen “gender identity” or “gender expression”.

The Supporting Children, Youth and Families Act of 2017, also know as Bill 89, was passed in Ontario by a vote of 63 to 23, The Christian Times reported[Do note the Orwellian language.  Yes, they support families by ripping them apart, the better to allow the state to make permanent devotees of the religion of sexular paganism starting at age 3.]

The law, which replaces old laws governing child protection, foster care and adoption services, instructs all child services and judges, to take into consideration a child’s “race, ancestry, place of origin, color, ethnic origin, citizenship, family diversity, disability, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.” [This is ugly in so many respects. This balkanization into post-modern eternally warring aggrieved groups is the work of satan.  Also note the overtones of anti-white racialism in all this.]

Minister of Child and Family Services Michael Coteau, who introduced the bill, said “I would consider that a form of abuse, when a child identifies one way and a caregiver is saying no, you need to do this differently.” [Once again the Orwellian language.  Not a parent, not a person whose very soul is intimately wrapped up in the fate of the child they helped create, but a “caregiver.”]

“If it’s abuse, and if it’s within the definition, a child can be removed from that environment and placed into protection where the abuse stops.” [And this will never be abused for political ends, or see children’s (and parent’s) lives permanently up-ended after they fall prey to some demonic online hellhole like Tumblr.]

The old law used to allow parents to “direct the child’s education and religious upbringing.” The new bill, however, amends such rights of the parents[Right.  But it also will never, ever be applied to muslims, only to Christians.  Also, shame on you Canada for your British-inspired and damnable conception of rights, believing it is up to the state to hand out to parents (and all other citizens) whatever the state deigns to give, rather than being the God-given right of every soul born on this earth to raise their children to the best of their ability and in line with their own conscience.  It is thus Canada has no equivalent to the US First or Second Amendments.]

It now emphasizes a child’s “identity and allows parents only to “direct the child or young person’s education and upbringing, in accordance with the child’s or young person’s creed, community identity and cultural identity.” [So if white parents adopt a black child they have to teach him ebonics?  If they adopt a child of muslim parents (however unlikely that may be) they have to raise him as a muzzie?]

Ontario children and youth advocate Irwin Elman celebrated the bill and said it signals a “paradigm shift” and creates a “child-centered system of service” with “the commitment to anti-racism and children’s rights.” [Let me rephrase: “Now we leftists get access to thousands of kids so young they’ll be ours forever.”]

Jack Fonseca, a political strategist for Campaign Life Coalition, meanwhile, criticized the new law.

I’d do more than criticize, I’d be profoundly freaked out and looking for somewhere to emigrate to, but it’s rapidly becoming clear there are few places left in the former West/Christendom that aren’t on an identical path. Colombia’s been fairly stable for a while now.  Cartageña’s supposed to be nice. How about Panama?  Every day is 12 hours long, no more, no less!

Tragically, what happens in Canada, doesn’t stay in Canada.  It tends to show up here about 20-30 years later, or whenever the electorate gives the Leftist party the presidency.

Catholics Banned From Doing Business in Leftist City June 8, 2017

This is only just the beginning, folks.  That’s what all these sodo-marriage and non-gender-binary-otherkin restroom laws are all about, making being Christian more or less illegal, subject to state persecution at any time. Now, this was a typical leftist college town in Michigan (East Lansing – home of Michuguna State), but these same “non-discrimination” laws are being passed all over.  Dallas has them.  Houston has them. Austin and San Antonio have them in spades.  So if you refuse to support pseudo-sodo-marriage, or have a problem with a grown male pervert with beard and horrid makeup sharing restroom space with your daughter, get out of town, bigot:

[F]or the past seven years, Steve Tennes and his family have sold their produce at the farmer’s market owned by the city of East Lansing.

But this year – city officials told the devout Catholic family that their blueberries and sweet corn were not welcome at the farmer’s market – and neither were they.

Last year, someone posted a message on Country Mill’s Facebook page inquiring about whether they hosted same-sex weddings at the farm. [Now why would one even ask this about a random farm, unless some digging had already been done and this was an attempt to cause trouble for the family?  I am extremely dubious this was an innocent request]

Tennes told the individual they did not permit same-sex marriages on the farm because of the family’s Catholic belief that marriage is a sacramental union between one man and one woman.

City officials later discovered the Facebook posting and began immediate action to remove Country Mill from the Farmer’s Market – alleging the family had violated the city’s discrimination ordinance. [So they didn’t respond to a complaint, they actively sought out the offense and then began prosecution]

“It was brought to our attention that The Country Mill’s general business practices do not comply with East Lansing’s Civil Rights ordinances and public policy against discrimination as set forth in Chapter 22 of the City Code and outlined in the 2017 Market Vendor Guidelines, as such, The Country Mill’s presence as a vendor his prohibited by the City’s Farmer’s Market Vendor Guidelines,” read a letter the city sent to the family.

It also did not seem to matter to city leaders that the farm is located 22 miles outside the city limits – and had absolutely nothing to do with the business of selling blueberries at the farmer’s market.

“We were surprised and we were shocked,” Steve told me. “My wife and I both volunteered to serve in the military – to protect freedom now we come home and the freedom that we worked to protect – we have to defend in our own backyard.”

I reached out to city leaders but they did not return my calls seeking comment.

“Whether you are a Jew, Muslim or Christian – people of faith should not be eradicated from the marketplace simply because they don’t share the same thoughts and ideas that the government is choosing to promote,” Steve told me.

So they have decided to fight for their constitutional rights. [And note this is very different from refusing to bake a cake for a fake wedding.  This is about searching out and persecuting heretics from the sexular pagan religion.]

Alliance Defending Freedom filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday alleging East Lansing violated the constitutional rights of the Tennes family.

“All Steve wants to do is sell his food to anyone who wants to buy it, but the city isn’t letting him,” said ADF Legal Counsel Kate Anderson. “People of faith, like the Tennes family, should be free to live and work according to their deeply held beliefs without fear of losing their livelihood. If the government can shut down a family farmer just because of the religious views he expresses on Facebook—by denying him a license to do business and serve fresh produce to all people—then no American is free.”

I warned you about this kind of attack in my new book, “The Deplorables’ Guide to Making America Great Again.”  The attacks on religious liberty did not end just because a Republican is in the White House.

There is a concerted effort by the Left to silence free speech and eradicate Christianity from the public marketplace. The only course of action is to stand and fight.

You may have no concern about “gay marriage,” but the gay marriage zealots are very interested in you.  You will be brought to heel. You will be made to give them the affirmation they crave, and can never get enough of.  Otherwise, they will make you suffer.

Check out the atheist Catholic college professor in the comments.  Constantly bashes and denigrates God.  Natural fit for a Katholyc Klown Kollege.  He also seems to be a communist.  As such, he’s probably near the median belief set for Catholic college professors since the Council.  Leftism is this guy’s true religion, and he will brook no apostasy nor any competition.

Viva El Jefe! Trump Withdraws from Paris Climate Confab June 1, 2017

Even more delicious than Trump’s following through on a significant campaign promise in pulling the US out of the tyrannical and unjustifiable Paris Climate Accord, in spite of several of his closest advisors pushing against doing so (especially his daughter and son-in-law), is the Left’s hysterical reaction.  Their multifaceted religion of sexular paganism has been offended against!  The holy temple of gaia has been violated!  This must not stand!

The Federalist provides a nice rundown of some of the most unhinged responses from #theresistance crowd of Twitter verified assholes:

Billionaire and faux environmentalist Tom Steyer said withdrawing would be a “traitorous act of war.”

Democrat Jon Ossoff warns Trump: “History will condemn” you if US leaves Paris climate deal

Quote fabricator Neil deGrasse Tyson said Trump wasn’t science-y enough to know science things good: “If I and my advisors had never learned what Science is or how & why it works, then I’d consider pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord too.” [Always the preening condescension and self-aggrandizement.  We poor dumb a$$ conservatives just can’t comprehend science]

One of Pope Francis’s right-hand men said it would be “a slap in the face” to the Vatican if Trump did not continue to punish U.S. manufacturers to appease European elites. [This was Msgr. Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, whose earth-mother worshipping extremism and pro-abortion antics have already been covered several times on this blog]

Let’s expand a bit on Sanchez’ rant, shall we?  From Crux:

Argentine Bishop Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo, Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, said that if Trump takes the United States out of the Paris deal, signed in Dec. 2015, “it would be a disaster for everyone. There’s little else to comment on.”

Sorondo is quoted by the Italian newspaper La Repubblica coming back from a summit at the United Nations devoted to climate change.

“I don’t know what Trump spoke about with the pope,” Sorondo said. “I don’t believe, however, that the conversation was very detailed on climate. I know, however, that the President of the United States spoke about this in the conversation he had with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s secretary of state.”

In that sense, the bishop said, Trump pulling out of the accords would be “a slap in the face also for us,” referring to the Vatican.

The U.S. President has long spoken about pulling out from Paris, and, according to Sorondo, this is motivated by the “oil lobby.” [Of course it is.  Sorondo has used this simplistic, plainly false slur before.]

But wait, there’s more!  The USCCB has to get in on the act, too!

Bishop Oscar Cantú of Las Cruces, Chairman of the USCCB Committee on International Justice and Peace, has urged the president not to pull out of the agreement.

“The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is on record supporting prudent action to mitigate the worst impacts of climate change,” Cantú said in a statement. [Which are………..what, exactly?  Soaring energy prices leading to potential famine around the world as cheap and efficient sources of energy are blocked for reasons for pure ideology and the desire of the Left to impose communism by enviro-stealth?]

“Our Conference of Bishops has vigorously promoted the teaching of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, on care for our common home,” Cantú continued. “The Holy Father’s encyclical letter, Laudato si’, was timed in order to urge the nations of the world to work together in Paris for an agreement that protects our people and our planet. [So it was more of a political than a doctrinal statement. The Church is now removed from leading the world through morals and timeless Truth, to chasing whatever the latest political fad is in a desperate bid to remain relative.  Gotcha.] We hope the United States will honor the commitment it made there.” [While China, India, Russia, Vietnam, and scores of other countries continue to emit CO2 and actual pollutants at a rate orders of magnitude higher than that of the US.  Even if the US were to entirely ban all fossil fuel use global CO2 emissions would continue to increase because of the less-developed nations, which were by and large given a pass in this accord.  Thus, it has nothing to do with climate, and everything to do with control.]

How long will we have to wait before the backhanded, passive-aggressive attack from Francis against this offense to his one true faith?  Not very long, I wager. In fact, we really already have, because Sorondo is a Francis-creature and given how tightly Francis dominates everyone around him, he did not speak without authorization.

A few more:

This grassroots organizer said Trump’s announcement will prevent everyone from living on planet earth: “Trump just declared war on the very idea of life on earth.”

HuffPo right now: “TRUMP TO PLANET: DROP DEAD”

And a bit more evidence that many of the “conservative” Never Trumpers are actually leftists in disguise, or are at least too afraid to offend their progressive betters:

If today were opposite day, we could say that The Wall Street Journal‘s Christopher Mims’s response to the news is very reasonable: “As a species we flunked the collective action problem that is carbon emissions. It’s now adapt or die. And I’m not a techno-utopian.”

The radical Left and the democrat party – but I repeat myself – are now so hurt at the surprise of Trump’s win and offended at his existence that if he literally cured all forms of cancer tomorrow they would still portray Trump as the devil.

But I think we conservatives need to get used to the idea that this is how they will react from now on to ANY relatively conservative winning the White House (as opposed to a RINO big-government statist like the Bushes, but even then they lost their minds).  This is how they are going to behave from now on when they don’t get their way.  They have all the intelligence and maturity of a 4 year old having a sobbing screaming temper tantrum.

I really don’t know how this country stays together.  It is almost entirely the Left’s fault, this descent into mutually hostile ideological camps ready to visit violence upon the other.  I agree with Ace, about the best outcome now is a civil, peaceable divorce along geographic lines, which means Texas as an independent nation or part of a south-central conservative conglomeration.  The longer that divorce is delayed, the uglier and more bitter the final split will be.

Awesome – Whittle Destroys Nye in Battle of the Bills May 31, 2017

I remember back in college, having the pathetic choice of only 30 or 40 basic cable channels to choose from, being annoyed that it seemed like Bill Nye The Science Guy show was on about 4 different channels at least 8 hours a day.  I couldn’t surf through the lineup without seeing him at least twice, it seemed, just about any time of day.

I never found his program compelling, as it was full of that same smug condescension that leftists always resort to when talking to children.  Not only that, but its self-importance was over the top.

And yet from that program, an entire generation of kids, broadly speaking, is apparently convinced that Bill Nye – whose educational credentials (BSME) certainly do not exceed my own, and I have decades experience actually designing and fabricating highest-tech products in my bag – is one of the world’s great experts in not just one particular field of science, but all scientific disciplines generally.  But Nye has never been satisfied to limit himself to being the Newton of our age in every scientific discipline.  He has always been very glad to mix his increasingly leftist politics in with his purported scientific laws (until the science becomes inconvenient to the leftism, then the science gets jettisoned).

So now he has a new show on Netflix (with the incredibly humble name Bill Nye Saves the World), ostensibly for kids (kids with an extensive porn habit, apparently, judging by the material he produces), but which is really little more than a vehicle for Bill Nye – world’s greatest genius guy! – to engage in half hour disjointed political rants.  That is, when he’s not pushing wanton immorality and gross perversion on his supposed target audience.

But Nye’s favorite leftist hobby horse to ride has always been global cooling I mean global warming I mean climate change (whew! – we’re covered!).  In this area he is simply another reliable climate cultist with few original thoughts.

Now Bill Whittle knows a thing or two about science. He has had a long association with the aerospace industry and also has worked in a lab for over 20  years, over a decade longer than Nye’s brief career at Boeing. And he utterly obliterates Nye in this great video, Bill Nye the Science Lie.  Not only does he obliterate the Left’s climate change cult (once again), but he also punctures the preening arrogance of the so-called “rational set” on the left, who hold themselves so far above those stupid superstitious conservative Bible-humpers (interesting, then, that liberals are far, far more likely to believe in things like Bigfoot, space aliens, power crystals, astrology, etc):

Now that is a thorough and complete takedown.  Always helps to get the rest of the story the Left and their PR department (the media) don’t want to share.

New Video Details Planned Butcherhood’s Knowing Commission of Child-Slaughter May 30, 2017

An indictment for several made-up felony violations in Kalifornia notwithstanding, the Center for Medical Progress has released a new undercover sting video of Planned Murderhood officials describing the methods they use to tear babies limb from limb, describing how the babies sometimes fight back or make the abortionist/murderers job difficult by not cooperating in its demise.

This video is extremely graphic and disturbing and will make your blood boil as you watch child murderers laugh about their crimes.  Children and those with high blood pressure should probably not watch (summary below, full video here):

You can only get third-party coverage of the video on Youtube because it has been pulled.  Because a judge ordered it to be pulled.

What is germaine is the unending horror of abortion, the media’s complicity in carefully keeping this horror from the general knowledge of the public, and abortion activist’s willingness to admit the brutality they constantly commit.  This is what comes from dehumanizing a class of people, and, I think, is a huge driving force in the Left’s increasingly violent and totalitarian tactics, as, being deeply steeped in denying humanity to broad classes of people, they have simply broadened their definition of “not human” even more to include anyone who disagrees with them.  And there is little surprise that wherever the hardcore Left has taken over, abortion has quickly been foisted on the population as good and “empowering,” but the real reason is to increase communist power by destroying the family.

Some quotes from the video footage – which is only a preview of much more to come – for those who do not want to watch the whole thing:

Dr. Ann Schutt-Aine, the director of abortion services for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (which has been referred to local law-enforcement for criminal charges related to fetal-tissue trafficking):

If I’m doing a procedure, and I’m seeing that I’m in fear that it’s about to come to the umbilicus [navel], I might ask for a second set of forceps to hold the body at the cervix and pull off a leg or two, so it’s not PBA [partial-birth abortion].

Dr. Stacy De-Lin, the director of abortion services for Planned Parenthood of New York City:

But we certainly do intact D&Es [dilation and extraction, otherwise known as partial-birth abortion, a method that is illegal under federal law]. [Anyone remotely familiar with the abortion industry – which had been around with “back alley butchers” for centuries before legalization increased abortions by a factor of about 100 (the back alley butchers simply hung a sign and continued as they did before, only much, much busier) – knows that adherence to the law has never been an issue.  State and federal funds routinely pay for abortions desired simply for convenience, and partial birth abortions still routinely occur in spite of the federal ban. People whose livelihood and ideology drive them to murder babies all day are not going to be deterred by vague and difficult to enforce laws]

Dr. Uta Landy, the founder of the Consortium of Abortion Providers (CAPS), Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA):

An eyeball just fell down into my lap, and that is gross! [laughter from the crowd]

Talcott Camp, the deputy director of the ACLU’s Reproductive Health Freedom Project:

I’m like — Oh my God! I get it! When the skull is broken, that’s really sharp! I get it! I understand why people are talking about getting that skull out, that calvarium.

Dr. Susan Robinson, an abortion provider at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte:

The fetus is a tough little object, and taking it apart, I mean, taking it apart on Day One is very difficult. . . . You go in there, and you go, “Am I getting the uterus or the fetus? Oh, good, fetus. [Robinson makes a stabbing sound effect] What have I got? Nothing. Let’s try again.

There is much more at the link.  Including this:

Updated May 26, 10:40 a.m.: A California judge ordered the CMP’s defense attorneys to remove the video footage from YouTube and from their website. More information is available here.

The abortion industry preys upon people’s vices and weaknesses.  It is the ultimate backstop for all that is wrong in America (and much of the world) today.  The truth regarding abortion absolutely cannot be allowed to get out.  Thus the use of leftist laws in leftist states with leftist judges trying to keep the blood-drenched truth of abortion secret.

Notice how many of these major players in the abortion industry are women.  While it was not the case 40 years ago, today, virtually all the major driving forces behind the mass-murder of children are women.  These are women who have bought into a satanic inversion of their most sacred, God-given role, that of raising and nurturing children.  There is no greater betrayal of the sacred trust God gives to all of us than in not just rejecting this role, but turning on it like an enraged harpy with flashing steel nails to rip those babies God has given women to bear apart.  This is the fruit of 100 years of enraged, envy-driven feminist ideology.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the courts. I imagine CMP staff will be convicted in the People’s Republic of California.  But there are 49 other states.  The truth will get out.

Pray for David Daleiden and the others at CMP, that God may intervene and overcome the evil powers of this world who seek to destroy life, falsely imprison the innocent, and subvert the truth with the devil’s lies.  Pray for the conversion of the sick demented souls lost in this ghastly ideology of death.

He uses a harder word, and this is McInnes, so you are forewarned that foul language will be profuse throughout this video, but he’s a recent Catholic convert – probably still trapped (unknowingly) in a standard banal Novus Ordo parish.  So maybe cut him some slack on the language and pray for his growth in virtue.

At the same time, he’s very entertaining, and unabashed critic of modern culture and especially the sexular pagan left, and he makes some great points in the video below critiquing the modern educational system in the West, and particularly in the United States.  Right off the bat in reason 2 of his twenty against the leftist domination in the vast majority of schools and colleges, public or private, he notes the intentional (and always leftist) politicization that is a fundamental part of the educational establishment.

Public schools have rarely in this country, or at least not since the nationalization of schools with the Department of Education, been about truly educating youths to think, to ground them in the classics, to give them a framework to learn throughout their life.  Even before the Department of Ed, many schools were too influenced by the Prussian model and too dedicated to turning out good factory workers, good obedient subjects of the government, etc.

But in the past few decades the Left has come to completely penetrate and dominate the educational establishment at all levels, often chucking even the pretense of education as the primary goal and instead making clear that what they seek to instill in the children parents hand over to their ministrations is a thoroughgoing Leftist ideology that the kids will be possessed with for life.  In the rising “millennial” generation, there plan seems to be coming to fruition, as this generation is by far the most propagandized and politicized – in an unthinking, uncritical way – we’ve seen at least since the 60s, and quite possibly ever:

However, I think there is some good news on this front.  While social media is often poison for forming a thinking, conscious mind, there are exceptions. When I’m working in the  yard or garage on the weekends, I listen to a lot of Youtube videos, and one of the fastest growing genres I’ve seen  (heard) of late is the 20-something millennial getting “red pilled” by watching videos from conservative/libertarian content producers.  At the very least, they are questioning the indoctrination they’ve received, and some are openly switching sides.

There aren’t nearly enough of these, of course, but the content produced by the likes of McInnes, Jordan Peterson, Black Pigeon Speaks, Sargon of Akkad, Jeffrey Rubin, Rebel Media, and many, many others does seem to be having some kind of positive impact.  No none of these people are explicitly Catholic or understand (and convey) the concept of leading a virtuous life in a Catholic sense, but many are on the right track and some, like McInnes, are even converting – pray God they don’t get scandalized out of the Faith by what they find, as many do (which was a point I missed from Matt’s video I posted  yesterday, a protestant who wants to convert but is being scandalized by Francis into possibly ignoring this call from God – this is an unspeakable tragedy and something for which I fear God’s judgment will be quite harsh).

Well, as if you  needed twenty more reasons to do all you possibly can to homeschool your kid(s) or send ’em to a rare good Christian private school, or an even rarer public school (perhaps way out in the country somewhere) where the insanity has not sunk in too deep.  But I really cannot emphasize the benefits of homeschooling enough, not only for the kids but for the parents as well.  Not that it’s a panacea, but it’s the best overall alternative we have now.

But mostly I just found the video fun, like almost all of Gavin’s are.

Francis is the Antifa Pope May 23, 2017

I had not had time to check out Catholic blogs or even most secular news sites for weeks, but I took some time late Friday night to do so to try and catch up.  I came across several articles or posts on Francis, and in reading them I was struck with the sense that, to a very large degree, he could be described as the Antifa (supposedly anti-fascist hardcore communists) Pope.  Just a few ways in which he mirrors this hopelessly silly and pointless but still manifestly destructive group (and I’m not saying the analogy holds in every respect, but I think there is enough overlap for the descriptor to apply):

  • Completely beholden to a wholly disproved and outmoded ideology (constantly living in 1968)
  • Refusal to accept the historic and contemporary crimes of communism/socialism (as in Venezuela) while constantly attacking “evil” capitalism, liberalism, (authentic) Catholicism, etc.
  • Tilting at windmills that probably never existed, or at any rate certainly haven’t in decades (“rigorism in the Church,” severe confessors, hyper-judgmental parishes where people with common moral failings are literally chased away)
  • Using unjust, even fascistic practices in the name of fighting ostensible fascism or revanchism in the Church – which are the labels constantly applied, by default, to any perceived ideological opponent

It would be laughable if so much damage were not being done.

At any rate, a few excerpts of some articles from just one week of Francis’ folly:

Francis condemns Catholic “fanatics” about doctrinal clarity:

But there were always those people who, without any commission, go about disturbing the Christian community with speeches that upset souls: “Eh, no, someone who says that is a heretic, you can’t say this, or that; this is the doctrine of the Church.’ And they are fanatics about things that are not clear, such as these fanatics who go about there, sowing discord in order to divide the Christian community. And this is the problem: when the doctrine of the Church, that which comes from the Gospel, that which the Holy Spirit inspires – because Jesus said, ‘He will teach us and remind you of all that I have taught’ –  that doctrine becomes an ideology. And this is the great error of these people.” [Said perhaps the most doctrinaire pope in Church history]
“We must not be frightened when we hear of the opinions of the ideologues of doctrine. The Church has its own Magisterium, the Magisterium of the Pope, of the Bishops, of the Councils, and we must go along the path that comes from the preaching of Jesus, and from the teaching and assistance of the Holy Spirit, it is always open, always free… this is the freedom of the Spirit, but in doctrine… doctrine unites, the councils always unite the Christian community… ideology divides… for them ideology is more important than doctrine: they leave aside the Holy Spirit.”
“Today it falls to me to call for the grace of mature obedience to the Magisterium of the Church, that obedience to what the Church has always taught and continues to teach us…….[Even as I go about, practically daily, dismantling the Magisterium, or, at the very least, proposing contradictions against it as a counter-Magisterium I pretend is the real one.  He is truly a conciliar Jesuit.  It will be well when this order dies a natural death, if it is not suppressed along the way]

Note that Franci’s speech was surely a rebuttal of the speeches given the same day of two of the most ardent defenders of the Faith in these times of horrible trial, Cardinals Burke and Caffara.  As always, Francis snipes from the side, making snide comments (not always on point) and insinuations without the decency, the moral fortitude to address those who call out his heretical “propositions” straight on.

Meanwhile, as Venezuela burns, more and more Latin Americans are asking, “¿Donde esta Jorge?”:

One institution which has remained free of the regime’s control is the Catholic Church. For years, Venezuela’s Catholic bishops have bravely underscored the abuses of the government first led by the man whose personality and socialist policies lit the fuse for the current conflagration—the late Hugo Chávez—and now by his successor Nicolás Maduro.

Venezuela’s left-populist regime has always recognized the Church as a major support for anyone—Catholic, non-Catholic, believer, non-believer—who opposes what Venezuela’s Catholic bishops called in a remarkably clear and tough-minded January 2017 pastoral exhortation a “totalitarian political system” that seeks to impose its “21stCentury Socialism” upon the country. This is despite the “utter failure,” the bishops added, of “socialism in every country in which this regime has been installed.”

Chávez’s response to similar criticism was to publicly insult Catholic bishops while proclaiming, in near-blasphemous terms, that “Jesus was the first socialist.” Maduro has upped the ante. Chávista thugs regularly attack Catholic priests in churches and Catholic university students in the streets. In April this year, they interrupted the Chrism Mass of the Archbishop of Caracas, Cardinal Jorge Urosa, during Holy Week—which included roughing up the cardinal.

There is, however, one question being consistently asked—with greater frequency and visibly growing impatience—throughout Latin America whenever Venezuela comes up in conversation. And that is: “Where is Pope Francis?”

In fact, as the article goes on to reveal, Francis continues to provide aid and comfort to the murderous Maduro regime by running interference for them and placing onerous demands on the regime’s critics.

Like antifa, he has to pretend Venezuela does not exist, or practically so, as it is too fatal a rebuke to the ideological shibboleths held by both.

And finally, in what amounts to yet another howler of such stupendous proportions one kind of wonders whether or not Francis is all there mentally – or perhaps caught in a reverie of ’65 he can’t get out of? – Francis spoke of an invasion of libertarianism, of all things, into the academy, where daily proof of total Marxist dominance grows more and more insurmountable.

I forget which book I was, but it was a very sad tale of marxist revolutionaries in later life.  These were primarily ex-Soviet revolutionaries, the few alums of 1917 that managed to survive the Stalinist purges that killed the original revolutionary cadres almost to a man.  It was an immensely depressing tale.  All these revolutionaries, even after being betrayed by Stalin (and, some of them, Lenin), actually beat their own breasts for their failure to accord to the Marxist ideal (this is a subject upon which Solzhenitsyn expounds at length, the idiot commies betrayed by the commie system who continue to love and remain loyal to it, so brainwashed are they).  All they could do was relive their youth when they felt they were in the revolutionary vanguard, just at Bergoglio continues to seem to continually be stuck in his 50s heyday of leftist Peronists desperately seeking to return to power, constantly surrounded by “neoliberal” and traditionalist enemies – enemies to be crushed.
Meh, may be going a bit far there at the end, but the evidence that this guy somehow persists in some late-50s to early 70s fantasyland is, I think, beyond dispute.
And the man most imbued in casuistry imaginable constantly finds it in others.  But there you go.
Perhaps less the Antifa pope, he’s Don Jorge de la Mancha.

The Ultimate Homeschooling Sales Video May 16, 2017

I know this video from Michael Matt came out about a week and a half ago, but perhaps some haven’t seen it.  The opening segment in particular makes a good a advertisement for homeschooling as I can imagine – or, at least, an advertisement against the vast majority of public and private schools.

As you can see (and you are warned that the content, featuring a school principal shouting profanities and insults at children because they are pro-life, is definitely not family fare), the inmates have taken over the asylum.  Not that we didn’t already have ample evidence of that going back decades, but if anyone is wavering in their commitment to homeschooling, if anyone is unsure whether they want to go to the great effort of teaching their own kids, this video is something that should be watched.  Yes, this is something of an extreme example.  No, not every school has creatures like this.  But the vast majority of them do, and while those may not be as unhinged and confrontational as the man in the video below (who makes the connection between hatred of God, sins of the flesh, and hatred for one’s fellow man quite clear), they may be all the more pernicious and destructive for being more subtle in their approach.  The hard left has taken over the schools in every part of the country, and while many good individual teachers remain and some school districts have maintained some semblance of sanity, more and more, this is the norm, as is indoctrination, subtle and gross, into the Christ-hating philosophy of sexular pagan leftism:

That’s not to say that everyone is able to homeschool, or that it’s a cure all for dangers in raising children.  It’s not.  But I will reiterate what the formal parochial vicar at Mater Dei said repeatedly:  there is a hierarchy in the preference of children’s education, and it goes like this:

  1. Homeschooling
  2. Solidly devout non-Catholic parochial schools, typically evangelical protestant
  3. Public schools
  4. Catholic schools

This is by and large, big picture, broad sweeps analysis, but he had extensive argumentation to back this up, and I agree with his conclusions.  There are exceedingly rare exceptions to the above, especially regarding Catholic schools.  There are perhaps 2 or 3 in this diocese that I would rate as not posing a positive danger to children’s faith.  Public schools are charnel houses but knowing that it is possible to inoculate kids against danger, as it is possible to inoculate them against the errors pushed by protestants in their schools.  Catholic schools come out worst because decades of experience (and noted advice from such spiritual leaders as Archbishop Fulton Sheen) have shown kids from Catholic schools have the worst outcomes with regard to the Faith than any other option.  There seems to be something insidiously pernicious in being taught heinous errors from a supposedly trusted authority figure in an official Church-setting.

As I noted, there are exceptions, not everyone can homeschool, some are in particularly difficult financial or other situations that preclude it, nothing is perfect, etc., etc.  If you are not able to homeschool I’m sure you’ll do the next best thing and are doing your utmost within your means.  But I think I would be remiss in not exhorting those with young children who are contemplating schooling options not to very prayerfully, honestly search their souls as to whether homeschooling is possible for them.

I know the vast majority of trads already homeschool or are very favorable to it, but some folks still find the concept alien or intimidating.  It’s not as hard as you think, and there are myriad resources out there that help you out.  Even more, there are countless options for homeschooling, including solidly Catholic courseware and instruction from online sources like Seton or Regina Caeli Academy, which take most of the burden of instruction off mom or dad (but do carry a fairly substantial cost).  That’s not to say homeschooling is ever easy, but loads of people not inordinately blessed with intelligence, motivation, and education have done it and done it well.

But, like most things in life, this challenge of raising happy faithful Catholic children into Catholic adults can be done more than one way.  I happen to think homeschooling by far the best, but it is not necessarily the only way.  I had to put that caveat in so I don’t get lumped in with the mean ‘ol judgy McJudge Judge trad crowd*.

There’s a lot more in Matt’s video concerning the collapse of Christian civilization and the Church’s role in bringing that about through her own process of self-demolition, so watch the whole thing if you haven’t already.

*- a bit of an inside joke for locals who heard the same sermon I did a week or two ago.  The basic point was well taken, laity can go to excess easily in correcting/demanding certain standards of others.  But there’s a world of difference between advocating for a recommended course of action or practice, and condemning those who follow a different course.  Sometimes in a world of easily bruised feelings that distinction can be lost.  But people can also turn their preferences into totems and demand others do the same, perhaps to make them more assured of their own choices.  This is a difficult distinction and where to draw the line is very much a matter of prudence, not hard and fast rules.

Anyway, I’m obviously a hard-hearted jerk, this is how we treat bad babies at our house:

That’s right, puppy/baby jail.  That’s what happens when you’re not potty trained.  You both stay in there until you learn!  Nothing but dog food and water for the both of you!

Dallas Diocese Opposes Texas “Anti-Sanctuary” Law……. May 15, 2017

……..apparently endorsing lawlessness and law-breaking on the part of municipalities and others. Or, probably more accurately, but even more pernicious, a double standard when it comes to the law: the leftist coalition that provides (bribes) the Church to the tune of about $100 million per year for ostensible services for immigrants, legal and otherwise gets special rights and privileges, while others get the full force of the law.

At any rate, I was very sad to see one local priest I have always thought highly of strongly endorsing this diocesan effort to oppose a very fair and common-sense law.  I should also add that the Diocese of Dallas has stepped up its efforts in support of illegal immigration of late, lending support for a recent mass march in downtown Dallas in favor of immigrants rights (that only drew 3000 people, far, far less than the 100,000 predicted by its organizers):

Their message was direct: Break silence, speak out.

Their target: The impact of a new law that expands local law enforcement power over immigration matters and is billed as “anti-sanctuary.”

Senate Bill 4 was signed into law on Sunday by Gov. Greg Abbott and goes into effect Sept. 1.

“This law does not make Texas more safe,” said the Rev. Rudy Garcia, the Catholic rector at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe. “In fact, it makes all of us less safe as it discourages people from reporting crime and wrongdoing to local authorities, who now have to act like ICE agents.” [No, it is intended to avoid things like the recent case in Boston, where a legal immigrant green card holder was deliberately given a 364 day sentence by liberal prosecutors there, because green card holders who serve more than 1 year in prison can be deported.  That is, can be, not automatically or always are.  This was the prison term given for TWO armed robberies.  The same man turned around and murdered two people not long after getting out of jail.  They were unavailable for comment on the Diocese’s reflexive immigration endorsement.]

Garcia quoted from another pastor at a news conference Thursday at the Latino Center for Leadership Development in downtown Dallas, attended by more than a dozen clergy members, lawyers and social activists justice warriors.

It was the now-deceased Martin Niemoller who was an outspoken foe of Adolf Hitler. The lines attributed to him begin: “First, they went after the socialists and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist.” [Got that, Trumpistas? You’re all fascists, just like Adolf Hitler.]

………In a tearful exchange at the news conference, Dinorah Sierra introduced herself as an immigrant mother who was “indocumentada,” without legal immigration status. [She is here illegally.  She has broken federal laws, laws that are far more strict and far more rigorously enforced in Mexico and most lands from which the vast majority of illegals hail.  She is demanding, in reality, special rights and privileges for herself at the expense of those native born.]   She said she didn’t want to leave her home to attend the event. “But it gives me strength to see so many organizations united fighting for our rights,” Sierra said.

“Many of the buildings downtown have been made by Hispanic hands,” she said with her voice trembling.  ”The vegetables have been picked from the dirt by Hispanic hands, even though they don’t want us.” [Note the clever switch, from the issue of immigration to the issue of race.  The not-so-subtle implication is that if you oppose measures to curb illegal immigration and deport those here, you only do so from a standpoint of racism.  This entire press conference appears to have been conducted deplorably, relying on character assassination and reflexive appeals to emotion rather than logic or even rational analysis on the level of virtue.  I imagine that is because there is so little rational argument on the pro-illegal immigration side.]

About that, continued mass immigration, especially illegal but also legal, can often be, and in the case of the US I think manifestly is, unjust to the poorest of US citizens because this mass immigration artificially depresses wages, especially among the poorest and least skilled.  The Church is in this case helping keep wages depressed and tens of millions of US citizens out of work.

Throughout Catholic moral theology, it is an established precept that one’s duty in virtue applies first to those closest, and then radiating in a sort of concentric circles to expanding groups of people from the neighborhood, perhaps then to the parish, then to the city, the state, the region, the country, etc.

Thus Catholics have a higher moral duty to their fellow citizens than they do to those of other nations.

But for what to many appear to be selfish reasons, the Church has chosen to subordinate the rights of those who have a higher moral claim to those who have a much lower one.  So much lower, in fact, that on the matters involved – citizenship, access to social services, access to jobs, etc – it is quite arguable that citizens of those other countries have almost no claim at all, at least not when those claims put them in direct competition with natives of this country.

And I have left out entirely two enormously important factors that almost never get mentioned: the destruction of the family that frequently occurs with illegal immigration, with spouses and children often abandoned in the native land and bigamous marriages conducted here (and entirely as a matter of choice), and the fact that from the Church’s perspective, nearly half of this flood of Hispanic immigrants will leave the Church for the sects within 20 years, and an even larger proportion of their children will do the same, whereas the percentage of Catholics in Mexico (from which a huge majority proportion of the illegal immigrants come) has been relatively stable over the past 20 years, which means support for illegal immigration is support for a clear and present danger to the Faith, and, hence, the eternal destination of millions of souls.

Of course, the super with-it “church of accompaniment” established in 1965 cares little for such minutiae.  As I was told over and over again in San Antonio last week, All Dogs Go to Heaven, and concepts like hell and purgatory are just hoary old obsolete ideas that have no place in the new church, with a new pentecost, established in the sainted Sixties.

Sodo-Self Loathing Revealed in Hate Crime Hoaxes? May 5, 2017

Oh dear, another day, another fake hate crime exposed.  Or rather, I should say, another fake hate crime against one of the Left’s favored sects exposed, while a real hate crime was committed against conservatives and morally upright people.

A very troubled young man and “gay activist,” who also serves as an organist at an episcopal church in Indiana (a “progressive” and “welcoming” church, meaning believing Christians are not welcome there), has been charged with defacing his own church building, spraying graffiti with ostensible fascist and Nazi messages on them.  I think, however, that little kernel of Truth that virtually no amount of sin and error can ever completely drive from a soul, manifesting as a sort of self-loathing, may have been unintentionally revealed by the perpetrator of this cowardly and deranged act.

See if you agree:

After St. David’s Episcopal Church in Bean Blossom, Indiana, was vandalized, many suspected they were targeted by KKK members or a Nazi group. [Even though such groups hardly exist anymore, especially the former] Members of the church urged police to investigate the incident as a hate crime, WTHR Channel 13 reported.

But after an investigation, the Brown County prosecuting attorney’s office shocked the congregation by charging the church’s own organist, 26-year-old George Nathaniel Stang of Bloomington.

It was Stang who first reported the vandalism to police last November only days after last year’s presidential election. [Timing more suited to a bit of catharsis-seeking live action role playing on the part of a leftist than anything else. Leftists increasingly love to act out their fantasies of oppression]

It was immediately thought to be a hate crime because the small Episcopal Church is a progressive congregation that welcomes gays. The graffiti spray painted on the church walls read “Heil Trump” and “Fag Church.” [Interesting choice of words.  More later]

But during their inquiries police quickly came to feel that the vandalism was done by someone familiar with the church and began looking at the crime as an inside job. After an investigation, police arrested Stang.

The church organist allegedly admitted to the crime telling police he did it because he wanted to “mobilize a movement after being disappointed in and fearful of the outcome of the national election.” [Uh huh. Either that, or he’s simply an unhinged, unwell soul, like so many of his cohort]

“Fag church.”  Fag church.  Very interesting.  Almost as if he is saying something about the church to which he belongs.  Almost as if he longs for real correction and the truth of Jesus Christ but, because of his sins, can’t quite bring himself to accept either.  Still, might this not reveal that at least a part of him knows the truth, that the church to which he belongs is, far from helping him find Christ and live a life of virtue, is actually keeping him trapped in his sins with a horrific outcome awaiting him at the end of his life?

I’m not going to go any further than that, but a very interesting, and potentially revealing, choice of words, indeed.  Real shocker he goes to an episcopal church, huh?
