I got both these from JP Sonnen, spread out a bit on his site.  I put them together into one post:

On a given day in Tenochtitlan prior to the arrival of Cortez, tens of thousands of innocents might be slaughtered by the “priests” of the Aztec religion. It was one of the most barbaric, satanic religions the world has ever seen. The Aztecs were despised by their neighbors and even the Aztecs themselves lived in fear of being selected for the blood-fests, where blood would run all the way down from the tops of the temples into the streets below, to be fed on by starving animals.  The stench, it is said, would cause Spaniards to vomit from miles away.  And yet, our anti-Catholic but “enlightened” intellectual betters tell us today what a terrible thing it was for Cortez and others to come and end this nightmare, and instill the reign of Christ the King in a benighted people.

We are the beneficiaries of a different kind of Sacrifice, a Sacrifice that is unbloody but goes on forever in Heaven.  And during the Mass, Heaven comes down a bit, and we go up, and there is an instant of meeting, where mere bread and wine are transubstantiated into the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Instead of the people dying to satisfy the “rain god” and the “jackal god” and all the other demons, we now have God’s only Son forever offering the Sacrifice of Himself in Heaven for the salvation of all, although only a few will accept the sublime offer.

Amazingly……disgustingly……..dancers in Aztec garb are now featured in ceremonies within our Catholic churches, even sometimes during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.  The satanic and the angelic meet, under a Catholic roof?  Does this make sense? Is this pleasing to God?  “Oh, but it’s our cultural heritage.”  No, I thought being saved in Jesus Christ and a bastion of the Faith was Mexico’s heritage…….is it now imitating satanism’s darkest hour?  In some dioceses to the south and west, this is becoming a very major problem…….more and more pagan and animist elements of religion are making their way into what passes for the Mass in those places.

The disaster of growing up in a gay household July 3, 2012

That is, being a child raised by a gay parent or parents.  That is the testimony of one Dawn Stefanowicz, whose father was gay, dying of AIDS in 1991.  In a long interview at Catholic World Report, Stefanowicz relates the horrors she experienced as a child – her father’s serial partners, even when he was in a “committed” or “monogamous” relationship, witnessing group sex by several men, including her father, in her own home, being taken to gay “cruising” spots, being made to dress like a slut to serve as “bait” for bisexual men, and even memories of sexual abuse she experienced at his hands.  A couple of excerpts:

One thing you stress is that you didn’t observe a monogamous relationship in your home when growing up.

Stefanowicz: Yes. For children such as myself, just because our parents are “partnered,” doesn’t mean they are monogamous. Monogamy in the gay community means “serial monogamy,” you have a single partner for several months and then move on, or you’re in a relationship but have multiple partners on the side. Research shows that most male homosexual relationships become open within the first year. A recent New York Times article confirmed this—50 percent of same-sex male “marriages” become open to other sexual partners within the first year. My father could be in a “committed,” long-term relationship, but there was an agreement with his partner that there would be sexual relationships with others.

When I was growing up, I wasn’t surrounded by average heterosexual couples. In my home there would be my father’s partners and male friends, and they would often take me along to meeting places in the GLBT community. I was just a child, but I was exposed to overt sexual activity. When I was about nine, for example, my father took me to a downtown sex shop. He said he wanted to expose me to sexuality so that I wouldn’t be prudish. There was no sense of privacy around sexuality. Sex was very public; that was part of the gay culture.

He’d take me to see the work of gay artists, whose paintings and sculptures seemed to have phallic symbols worked into their art. He’d take me to nude beaches where gay men met one another. He wanted me to take my clothes off too, but I wouldn’t. It was at such places that men were involved in “cruising,” propositioning one another for sex. There were areas nearby you would go to for sex. There was a network; if the police were coming, they’d tip one another off and they’d stop their sexual activity.

This was before the Internet age, but there was still an incredible network that the gay community used to inform one another about their meeting places where they could go for a “quickie.” They could be public beaches, gyms, or even parks where children were playing nearby. My father would go cruising at locations all over Canada. He also loved coming to the States; his favorite cities included San Francisco, Miami, and Ft. Lauderdale. You could cruise, find someone in a few minutes, and go someplace to have sex.

My father also kept an apartment near his downtown office where he could meet someone for quick sex.

Once, when I was in the 10th grade, I was excited because my father came to school to watch me perform in the band. He never did before. I saw his eyes bug out when he saw all the teenage boys performing on the stage with me. Then I realized that he was not there for me, but to pick up young men.

As you got older, your father used you as “bait” to attract men he was interested in having sex with, too.

Stefanowicz: Yes. He’d tell me to dress provocatively, and wear this or that top, and we’d go out cruising. A man may identify himself as gay, but my dad knew they still liked attractive young women. Or, it could be a way to attract bisexual or heterosexual men.

My father liked well-dressed, “clean cut” men, who were about 10 years younger than he was. It was always a younger man, never the same age or older. I knew many gay men who had a preference for adolescent males who had just hit puberty. They would look for boys with absent fathers who were vulnerable.

One thing that is extremely interesting, is that even though the author grew up in a very gay-friendly environment where homosexuality was normalized and totally accepted, she still knew in her heart it was wrong, even from a young age.  She also knew that the men involved were extremely self-destructive and had numerous psychological problems and addictions.  While her father may have been a somewhat extreme example (I say somewhat……I’m not terribly convinced he’s extreme at all), there is no question that promiscuity among gay males in particular but all homosexuals is very widespread, as is very narcissistic behavior.  As she relates, her father’s life revolved totally around himself, and his pursuit of pleasure.  But while he would give constant “affection” to any random male, he would not kiss his own son or daughter.

The article is explicit at times.  It describes the health hazards associated with living in a gay household, due to the after effects of unnatural sex, in some detail.  So be warned.

As I read the article, I had a very strong sensation of empathy for the author, of a child who was trapped in a life she didn’t make or like but had to live, anyway.  Her mother was basically out of the picture.  The entire thing was very sad, I myself felt a sensation of being trapped, just from reading it.  It reminded me of the feeling I had when I was in active addiction, especially the worst parts, the constant out of control spiral you can’t stop.  At least in that sense, it was a trap of my own making, but in this case, the children have no choice.

And yet now, governments across the land want to give children to gay “couples” to raise?  They want to let them adopt, and recognize their pretend marriages?

It’s beyond insane. It’ s diabolical.

What the Popes say about socialism July 3, 2012

TFP Student Action has a great post with quotes from popes going back to Pius IX against the evil of socialism.  And yet, socialist is what this country becomes more and more every day.  Some of the quotes:

The Overthrow of Order

“You are aware indeed, that the goal of this most iniquitous plot is to drive people to overthrow the entire order of human affairs and to draw them over to the wicked theories of this Socialism and Communism, by confusing them with perverted teachings.”
(Encyclical Nostis et Nobiscum, December 8, 1849)

LEO XIII (1878-1903)

Overthrow is Deliberately Planned

“… For, the fear of God and reverence for divine laws being taken away, the authority of rulers despised, sedition permitted and approved, and the popular passions urged on to lawlessness, with no restraint save that of punishment, a change and overthrow of all things will necessarily follow. Yea, this change and overthrow is deliberately planned and put forward by many associations of communists and socialists.”
(Encyclical Humanum Genus, April 20, 1884, n. 27)

Debasing the Natural Union of Man and Woman

“They [socialists, communists, or nihilists] debase the natural union of man and woman, which is held sacred even among barbarous peoples; and its bond, by which the family is chiefly held together, they weaken, or even deliver up to lust.
(Encyclical Quod Apostolici Muneris, December 28, 1878, n. 1) [We should not forget that it was a specific communist plot, put together by Stalin’s regime and spread throughout the world by the Comintern, to weaken adversarial nations (any which were not communist) by sending communist agents to weaken the fabric of those societies.  One of the main areas of attack was morality and even the sanctity of marriage.  These agents were frequently aided by communist sympathizers in academia in targeted countries (like the US) that aided them in finding positions of great influence.  This program has been going on for decades, folks, and has continued on in spite of the collapse of the Soviet Union.  We thought we “won” the war against communism, but it was just getting started.  There will always be foolhardy people who reject God and the eternal life with dreams of creating a materialist, humanist “utopia” on earth.  And so now we have things like this ridiculous notion of the state recognizing two people of the same sex living together and soiling each other with unspeakable acts, as marriage.  It would be to laugh, it were not deadly serious.]

[My favorite] SAINT PIUS X (1903-1914)

The Dream of Re-Shaping Society will Bring Socialism

“But stranger still, alarming and saddening at the same time, are the audacity and frivolity of men who call themselves Catholics and dream of re-shaping society under such conditions, and of establishing on earth, over and beyond the pale of the Catholic Church, ‘the reign of love and justice’ … What are they going to produce? … A mere verbal and chimerical construction in which we shall see, glowing in a jumble, and in seductive confusion, the words Liberty, Justice, Fraternity, Love, Equality, and human exultation, all resting upon an ill-understood human dignity. It will be a tumultuous agitation, sterile for the end proposed, but which will benefit the less Utopian exploiters of the people. Yes, we can truly say that the Sillon, [Sillon was a left-wing French social justice group of very confused Catholics] its eyes fixed on a chimera, brings Socialism in its train.”
(Apostolic Letter Notre Charge Apostolique [“Our Apostolic Mandate”] to the French Bishops, August 15, 1910, condemning the movement Le Sillon)

The Church Will Fight Socialism to the End

“[The Church undertook] the protection of the individual and the family against a current threatening to bring about a total socialization which in the end would make the specter of the ‘Leviathan’ become a shocking reality. The Church will fight this battle to the end, for it is a question of supreme values: the dignity of man and the salvation of souls.” (“Radio message to the Katholikentag of Vienna,” September 14, 1952 in Discorsi e Radiomessaggi, vol. XIV, p. 314)

“No Catholic could subscribe even to moderate socialism”

“Pope Pius XI further emphasized the fundamental opposition between Communism and Christianity, and made it clear that no Catholic could subscribe even to moderate Socialism. [This next bit is the key to the entire error of socialism….] The reason is that Socialism is founded on a doctrine of human society which is bounded by time and takes no account of any objective other than that of material well-being. Since, therefore, it proposes a form of social organization which aims solely at production; it places too severe a restraint on human liberty, at the same time flouting the true notion of social authority.” (Encyclical Mater et Magistra, May 15, 1961, n. 34)

The English/Polish parish of St. Peter in Dallas is one of the few parishes having an evening Mass on the 4th of July.  A Rosary proceeds the Mass at 6:30.

Also, the pastor is being moved to Saskatchewan soon.  So, if y0u’ve assisted at Mass at St. Peter’s as I have, you might want to go see him again before he goes.

I have no word on his replacement.  Fr. Stan P. is a good priest.

Directions and other information on the parish website.

Violent attack against pro-lifers, media played a role July 3, 2012

Media coverage of two leaders of the Personhood USA effort may have played a role in a violent attack on their home.  LiveAction reports:

Today, Personhood USA revealed that its president and its communications director, Keith and Jennifer Mason, had their home violently attacked and vandalized by abortion supporters in the last week.

On June 25, Newsweek and The Daily Beast published an article featuring the Masons and their work in the pro-life movement.  The article detailed how the message of personhood is being spread by the Masons’ organization, Personhood USA, and how the nation is hearing a bold message of life through their work.

Personhood USA released the details of the attack on the Masons’ home:

In the middle of the night, a large rock was heaved through the double-paned glass of their front door, scattering glass throughout their living room and across the front porch, covering their children’s toys and items for the new baby.  The pro-abortion criminals also spray painted coat hangers and vulgarity in large letters on the front and sides of their house.

According to Personhood USA, readers of The Daily Beast began to make comments that included threats of violence against the Masons. (Comments on The Daily Beast are now closed, and the public is unable to view them. There were a total of 691 comments.) Unfortunately, one reader found the Masons’ home address and posted it in the comment section, in the midst of the violent threats. Personhood USA believes that this is how the attacker located the Masons’ residence.

Though the Newsweekarticle opens by discussing the upcoming birth of the Masons’ fourth child in August, and though the photo of the couple clearly shows a pregnant Jennifer, the attacker had no qualms about acting in a violent way that put children at risk.

Yeah, the Daily Beast has a lot of nasty people reading it.  And I think we should all know by now, if you adhere to traditional morality and more conservative views, you’re such a complete scumbag/neanderthal that even your right to exist is questionable, let alone the security of your property.  Only those with approved left wing views are worthy of existence.  In some people’s minds, anyways.  But I think we might be shocked and dismayed to discover just how numerous those somebodies are.

Are we headed towards a viciously divided society, almost like two armed camps sharing the same space?

This is what persecution looks like.  Kristallnacht may not be that far away.
